אֶל־ to visit ’el- יוֹרָ֑ם Joram . yō·w·rām וּבְבֹא֗וֹ When Ahaziah arrived , ū·ḇə·ḇō·’ōw יָצָ֤א he went out yā·ṣā עִם־ with ‘im- יְהוֹרָם֙ Joram yə·hō·w·rām אֶל־ to ’el- יֵה֣וּא meet Jehu yê·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- נִמְשִׁ֔י of Nimshi , nim·šî אֲשֶׁ֣ר whom ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh מְשָׁח֣וֹ had anointed mə·šā·ḥōw לְהַכְרִ֖ית to destroy lə·haḵ·rîṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ אַחְאָֽב׃ of Ahab . ’aḥ·’āḇ 2 Chronicles 22:8 וַיְהִ֕י - way·hî יֵה֖וּא So while Jehu yê·hū כְּהִשָּׁפֵ֥ט was executing judgment kə·hiš·šā·p̄êṭ עִם־ on ‘im- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ אַחְאָ֑ב of Ahab , ’aḥ·’āḇ וַיִּמְצָא֩ he found way·yim·ṣā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שָׂרֵ֨י the rulers śā·rê יְהוּדָ֜ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וּבְנֵ֨י and the sons ū·ḇə·nê אֲחַזְיָ֛הוּ of Ahaziah’s ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū אֲחֵ֧י brothers ’ă·ḥê מְשָׁרְתִ֥ים who were serving mə·šā·rə·ṯîm לַאֲחַזְיָ֖הוּ Ahaziah , la·’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū וַיַּהַרְגֵֽם׃ and he killed them . way·ya·har·ḡêm 2 Chronicles 22:9 וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֩ Then Jehu looked for way·ḇaq·qêš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲחַזְיָ֨הוּ Ahaziah , ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū וַֽיִּלְכְּדֻ֜הוּ and Jehu’s soldiers captured him way·yil·kə·ḏu·hū וְה֧וּא while he wə·hū מִתְחַבֵּ֣א was hiding miṯ·ḥab·bê בְשֹֽׁמְר֗וֹן in Samaria . ḇə·šō·mə·rō·wn וַיְבִאֻ֣הוּ So [Ahaziah] was brought way·ḇi·’u·hū אֶל־ to ’el- יֵהוּא֮ Jehu yê·hū וַיְמִתֻהוּ֒ and put to death . way·mi·ṯu·hū וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֔הוּ They buried him , way·yiq·bə·ru·hū כִּ֤י for kî אָֽמְרוּ֙ they said , ’ā·mə·rū ה֔וּא “ He hū בֶּן־ is the grandson ben- יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט of Jehoshaphat , yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- דָּרַ֥שׁ sought dā·raš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl לְבָב֑וֹ his heart .” lə·ḇā·ḇōw וְאֵין֙ So no one [was left] wə·’ên לְבֵ֣ית from the house lə·ḇêṯ אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ of Ahaziah ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū לַעְצֹ֥ר with la‘·ṣōr כֹּ֖חַ the strength kō·aḥ לְמַמְלָכָֽה׃ to rule the kingdom . lə·mam·lā·ḵāh 2 Chronicles 22:10 וַעֲתַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ When Athaliah wa·‘ă·ṯal·yā·hū אֵ֣ם the mother ’êm אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ of Ahaziah ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū רָאֲתָ֖ה saw rā·’ă·ṯāh כִּ֣י that kî בְּנָ֑הּ her son bə·nāh מֵ֣ת was dead , mêṯ וַתָּ֗קָם she proceeded wat·tā·qām וַתְּדַבֵּ֛ר to annihilate wat·tə·ḏab·bêr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה the royal ham·mam·lā·ḵāh זֶ֥רַע heirs ze·ra‘ לְבֵ֥ית of the house lə·ḇêṯ יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh 2 Chronicles 22:11 וַתִּקַּח֩ - wat·tiq·qaḥ יְהוֹשַׁבְעַ֨ת But Jehoshabeath yə·hō·wō·šaḇ·‘aṯ בַּת־ daughter baṯ- הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ of King [Jehoram] ham·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יוֹאָ֣שׁ [took] Joash yō·w·’āš בֶּן־ son ben- אֲחַזְיָ֗הוּ of Ahaziah ’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū וַתִּגְנֹ֤ב and stole him away wat·tiḡ·nōḇ אֹתוֹ֙ - ’ō·ṯōw מִתּ֤וֹךְ from among mit·tō·wḵ
