יֹשְׁבֵי֙ the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הַזֹּ֔את of this haz·zōṯ הָאָ֣רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ מִלִּפְנֵ֖י before mil·lip̄·nê עַמְּךָ֣ Your people ‘am·mə·ḵā יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַֽתִּתְּנָ֗הּ and give it wat·tit·tə·nāh לְעוֹלָֽם׃ forever lə·‘ō·w·lām לְזֶ֛רַע to the descendants lə·ze·ra‘ אַבְרָהָ֥ם of Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām אֹֽהַבְךָ֖ Your friend ? ’ō·haḇ·ḵā 2 Chronicles 20:8 וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ־ They have lived way·yê·šə·ḇū- בָ֑הּ in the land ḇāh וַיִּבְנ֨וּ and have built way·yiḇ·nū לְךָ֧׀ lə·ḵā בָּ֛הּ in it bāh מִקְדָּ֖שׁ a sanctuary miq·dāš לְשִׁמְךָ֥ for Your Name , lə·šim·ḵā לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr 2 Chronicles 20:9 אִם־ ‘ If ’im- רָעָ֗ה disaster rā·‘āh תָּב֨וֹא comes tā·ḇō·w עָלֵ֜ינוּ upon us — ‘ā·lê·nū חֶרֶב֮ whether sword ḥe·reḇ שְׁפוֹט֮ or judgment , šə·p̄ō·wṭ וְדֶ֣בֶר plague wə·ḏe·ḇer וְרָעָב֒ or famine — wə·rā·‘āḇ נַֽעַמְדָ֞ה we will stand na·‘am·ḏāh לִפְנֵ֨י before lip̄·nê הַזֶּה֙ this haz·zeh הַבַּ֤יִת temple hab·ba·yiṯ וּלְפָנֶ֔יךָ and before You , ū·lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā כִּ֥י for kî שִׁמְךָ֖ Your Name šim·ḵā הַזֶּ֑ה is in this haz·zeh בַּבַּ֣יִת temple . bab·ba·yiṯ וְנִזְעַ֥ק We will cry out wə·niz·‘aq אֵלֶ֛יךָ to You ’ê·le·ḵā מִצָּרָתֵ֖נוּ in our distress , miṣ·ṣā·rā·ṯê·nū וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע and You will hear us wə·ṯiš·ma‘ וְתוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ and save us . ’ wə·ṯō·wō·šî·a‘ 2 Chronicles 20:10 וְעַתָּ֡ה And now , wə·‘at·tāh הִנֵּה֩ here are hin·nêh בְנֵֽי־ the men ḇə·nê- עַמּ֨וֹן of Ammon , ‘am·mō·wn וּמוֹאָ֜ב Moab , ū·mō·w·’āḇ וְהַר־ and Mount wə·har- שֵׂעִ֗יר Seir , śê·‘îr אֲ֠שֶׁר whom ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ You did not lō- נָתַ֤תָּה let nā·ṯat·tāh לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel lə·yiś·rā·’êl לָב֣וֹא invade lā·ḇō·w בָהֶ֔ם ḇā·hem בְּבֹאָ֖ם when they came bə·ḇō·’ām מֵאֶ֣רֶץ out of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt ; miṣ·rā·yim כִּ֛י but kî סָ֥רוּ Israel turned away sā·rū מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם from them mê·‘ă·lê·hem וְלֹ֥א and did not wə·lō הִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃ destroy them . hiš·mî·ḏūm 2 Chronicles 20:11 וְהִ֨נֵּה־ See wə·hin·nêh- הֵ֔ם how they hêm גֹּמְלִ֖ים are repaying gō·mə·lîm עָלֵ֑ינוּ us ‘ā·lê·nū לָבוֹא֙ by coming lā·ḇō·w לְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּ to drive us out lə·ḡā·rə·šê·nū מִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖ of the possession mî·yə·ruš·šā·ṯə·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer הֽוֹרַשְׁתָּֽנוּ׃ You gave us as an inheritance . hō·w·raš·tā·nū 2 Chronicles 20:12 אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ Our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū הֲלֹ֣א will You not hă·lō תִשְׁפָּט־ judge ṯiš·pāṭ- בָּ֔ם them ? bām כִּ֣י For kî אֵ֥ין vvv ’ên בָּ֙נוּ֙ vvv bā·nū כֹּ֔חַ we are powerless kō·aḥ לִ֠פְנֵי before lip̄·nê הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh הָרָ֛ב vast hā·rāḇ הֶהָמ֥וֹן army he·hā·mō·wn הַבָּ֣א that comes hab·bā עָלֵ֑ינוּ against us . ‘ā·lê·nū
