וְעִמָּהֶ֧ם׀ together with wə·‘im·mā·hem מֵֽהָעַמּוֹנִ֛ים some of the Meunites , mê·hā·‘am·mō·w·nîm בָּ֣אוּ came bā·’ū לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ to make war lam·mil·ḥā·māh עַל־ against ‘al- יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט Jehoshaphat . yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ 2 Chronicles 20:2 וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ Then some men came way·yā·ḇō·’ū וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ and told way·yag·gî·ḏū לִֽיהוֹשָׁפָט֙ Jehoshaphat , lî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ לֵאמֹ֔ר . . . lê·mōr רָ֛ב “ A vast rāḇ הָמ֥וֹן army hā·mō·wn בָּ֣א is coming bā עָלֶ֜יךָ against you ‘ā·le·ḵā מֵאֲרָ֑ם from Edom , mê·’ă·rām מֵעֵ֥בֶר from beyond mê·‘ê·ḇer לַיָּ֖ם the Sea ; lay·yām וְהִנָּם֙ they are already wə·hin·nām בְּחַֽצְצ֣וֹן vvv bə·ḥaṣ·ṣō·wn תָּמָ֔ר in Hazazon-tamar ” tā·mār הִ֖יא (that is , hî עֵ֥ין En-gedi ‘ên גֶּֽדִי׃ . . . ). ge·ḏî 2 Chronicles 20:3 יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּרָ֕א was alarmed way·yi·rā וַיִּתֵּ֧ן and set way·yit·tên פָּנָ֖יו his face pā·nāw לִדְר֣וֹשׁ to seek liḏ·rō·wōš לַיהוָ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh וַיִּקְרָא־ And he proclaimed way·yiq·rā- צ֖וֹם a fast ṣō·wm עַל־ throughout ‘al- כָּל־ . . . kāl- יְהוּדָֽה׃ Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh 2 Chronicles 20:4 יְהוּדָ֔ה So [the people of] Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ gathered way·yiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū לְבַקֵּ֖שׁ to seek lə·ḇaq·qêš מֵֽיְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh גַּ֚ם and indeed , gam בָּ֖אוּ they came bā·’ū מִכָּל־ from all mik·kāl עָרֵ֣י the cities ‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ to seek lə·ḇaq·qêš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָֽה׃ Him . Yah·weh 2 Chronicles 20:5 יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט Then Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד stood way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ בִּקְהַ֧ל in the assembly biq·hal יְהוּדָ֛ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם and Jerusalem wî·rū·šā·lim בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH Yah·weh לִפְנֵ֖י in front of lip̄·nê הַחֲדָשָֽׁה׃ the new ha·ḥă·ḏā·šāh הֶחָצֵ֥ר courtyard he·ḥā·ṣêr 2 Chronicles 20:6 וַיֹּאמַ֗ר and said , way·yō·mar יְהוָ֞ה “ O YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֤י God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙ of our fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū אַתָּֽה־ are You ’at·tāh- ה֤וּא . . . hū הֲלֹ֨א not hă·lō אֱלֹהִים֙ the God ’ĕ·lō·hîm בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם who is in heaven , baš·šā·ma·yim וְאַתָּ֣ה and do You wə·’at·tāh מוֹשֵׁ֔ל not rule mō·wō·šêl בְּכֹ֖ל over all bə·ḵōl מַמְלְכ֣וֹת the kingdoms mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם of the nations ? hag·gō·w·yim כֹּ֣חַ Power kō·aḥ וּגְבוּרָ֔ה and might ū·ḡə·ḇū·rāh וּבְיָדְךָ֙ are in Your hand , ū·ḇə·yā·ḏə·ḵā וְאֵ֥ין and no wə·’ên לְהִתְיַצֵּֽב׃ one can stand lə·hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ עִמְּךָ֖ against You . ‘im·mə·ḵā 2 Chronicles 20:7 אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ Our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אַתָּ֣ה did You ’at·tāh הֲלֹ֣א׀ not hă·lō הוֹרַ֙שְׁתָּ֙ drive out hō·w·raš·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
