יְהוֹשָׁפָ֔ט Jehoshaphat , yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ לַעְזֹ֔ר “ Should you help la‘·zōr הֲלָרָשָׁ֣ע the wicked hă·lā·rā·šā‘ תֶּאֱהָ֑ב and love te·’ĕ·hāḇ וּלְשֹׂנְאֵ֥י those who hate ū·lə·śō·nə·’ê יְהוָ֖ה YHWH ? Yah·weh וּבָזֹאת֙ Because of this , ū·ḇā·zōṯ קֶּ֔צֶף the wrath qe·ṣep̄ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH [is] Yah·weh מִלִּפְנֵ֖י vvv mil·lip̄·nê עָלֶ֣יךָ upon you . ‘ā·le·ḵā 2 Chronicles 19:3 אֲבָ֕ל However , ’ă·ḇāl דְּבָרִ֥ים some də·ḇā·rîm טוֹבִ֖ים good ṭō·w·ḇîm נִמְצְא֣וּ is found nim·ṣə·’ū עִמָּ֑ךְ in you , ‘im·māḵ כִּֽי־ for kî- בִעַ֤רְתָּ you have removed ḇi·‘ar·tā הָאֲשֵׁרוֹת֙ the Asherah poles hā·’ă·šê·rō·wṯ מִן־ from min- הָאָ֔רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ וַהֲכִינ֥וֹתָ and have set wa·hă·ḵî·nō·w·ṯā לְבָבְךָ֖ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā לִדְרֹ֥שׁ on seeking liḏ·rōš הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃ God .” hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm 2 Chronicles 19:4 יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט Jehoshaphat yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב lived way·yê·šeḇ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םס in Jerusalem , bī·rū·šå̄·lå̄·ms וַיָּ֜שָׁב and once again way·yā·šāḇ וַיֵּצֵ֣א he went out way·yê·ṣê בָעָ֗ם among the people ḇā·‘ām מִבְּאֵ֥ר from mib·bə·’êr שֶׁ֙בַע֙ Beersheba še·ḇa‘ עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַ֣ר the hill country har אֶפְרַ֔יִם of Ephraim ’ep̄·ra·yim וַיְשִׁיבֵ֕ם and turned them back way·šî·ḇêm אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ of their fathers . ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·hem 2 Chronicles 19:5 וַיַּעֲמֵ֨ד He appointed way·ya·‘ă·mêḏ שֹֽׁפְטִ֜ים judges šō·p̄ə·ṭîm בָּאָ֗רֶץ in the land , bā·’ā·reṣ בְּכָל־ in each of bə·ḵāl לְעִ֥יר lə·‘îr וָעִֽיר׃ wā·‘îr הַבְּצֻר֖וֹת the fortified hab·bə·ṣu·rō·wṯ עָרֵ֧י cities ‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֛ה of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh 2 Chronicles 19:6 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר Then he said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- הַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗ים the judges , haš·šō·p̄ə·ṭîm רְאוּ֙ “ Consider carefully rə·’ū מָֽה־ what māh- אַתֶּ֣ם you ’at·tem עֹשִׂ֔ים do , ‘ō·śîm כִּ֣י for kî לֹ֧א you are not lō תִּשְׁפְּט֖וּ judging tiš·pə·ṭū לְאָדָ֛ם for man , lə·’ā·ḏām כִּ֣י but kî לַיהוָ֑ה for YHWH , Yah·weh וְעִמָּכֶ֖ם who is with you wə·‘im·mā·ḵem בִּדְבַ֥ר vvv biḏ·ḇar מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ when you render judgment . miš·pāṭ 2 Chronicles 19:7 וְעַתָּ֕ה And now , wə·‘at·tāh פַֽחַד־ may the fear p̄a·ḥaḏ- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh יְהִ֥י be yə·hî עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם upon you . ‘ă·lê·ḵem שִׁמְר֣וּ Be careful šim·rū וַעֲשׂ֔וּ what you do , wa·‘ă·śū כִּֽי־ for kî- עִם־ with ‘im- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אֵ֞ין there is no ’ên עַוְלָ֛ה injustice ‘aw·lāh וּמַשֹּׂ֥א or partiality ū·maś·śō פָנִ֖ים . . . p̄ā·nîm וּמִקַּח־ or bribery ū·miq·qaḥ- שֹֽׁחַד׃ . . . .” šō·ḥaḏ
