Genesis 41:17 פַּרְעֹ֖ה Then Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- יוֹסֵ֑ף Joseph : yō·w·sêp̄ בַּחֲלֹמִ֕י “ In my dream ba·ḥă·lō·mî הִנְנִ֥י . . . hin·nî עֹמֵ֖ד I was standing ‘ō·mêḏ עַל־ on ‘al- שְׂפַ֥ת the bank śə·p̄aṯ הַיְאֹֽר׃ of the Nile , hay·’ōr Genesis 41:18 וְהִנֵּ֣ה - wə·hin·nêh שֶׁ֣בַע when seven še·ḇa‘ פָּר֔וֹת cows , pā·rō·wṯ בְּרִיא֥וֹת well-fed bə·rî·’ō·wṯ בָּשָׂ֖ר . . . bā·śār וִיפֹ֣ת and sleek , wî·p̄ōṯ תֹּ֑אַר . . . tō·’ar עֹלֹת֙ came up ‘ō·lōṯ מִן־ from min- הַיְאֹ֗ר the river hay·’ōr וַתִּרְעֶ֖ינָה and began to graze wat·tir·‘e·nāh בָּאָֽחוּ׃ among the reeds . bā·’ā·ḥū Genesis 41:19 וְהִנֵּ֞ה - wə·hin·nêh אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ן After them , ’a·ḥă·rê·hen דַּלּ֨וֹת . . . dal·lō·wṯ שֶֽׁבַע־ seven še·ḇa‘- אֲחֵרוֹת֙ other ’ă·ḥê·rō·wṯ פָּר֤וֹת cows — pā·rō·wṯ וְרָע֥וֹת sickly , wə·rā·‘ō·wṯ תֹּ֛אַר ugly , tō·’ar מְאֹ֖ד . . . mə·’ōḏ וְרַקּ֣וֹת and thin wə·raq·qō·wṯ בָּשָׂ֑ר . . . — bā·śār עֹל֣וֹת came up . ‘ō·lō·wṯ לֹֽא־ I have never lō- רָאִ֧יתִי seen rā·’î·ṯî לָרֹֽעַ׃ such ugly lā·rō·a‘ כָהֵ֛נָּה [cows] ḵā·hên·nāh בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֖יִם of Egypt ! miṣ·ra·yim Genesis 41:20 הָרַקּ֖וֹת Then the thin , hā·raq·qō·wṯ וְהָרָע֑וֹת ugly wə·hā·rā·‘ō·wṯ אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ הַפָּר֔וֹת cows hap·pā·rō·wṯ וַתֹּאכַ֙לְנָה֙ devoured wat·tō·ḵal·nāh שֶׁ֧בַע the seven še·ḇa‘ הַבְּרִיאֹֽת׃ well-fed hab·bə·rî·’ōṯ הַפָּר֛וֹת cows hap·pā·rō·wṯ הָרִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת that were there first . hā·ri·šō·nō·wṯ Genesis 41:21 וַתָּבֹ֣אנָה When they had devoured wat·tā·ḇō·nāh אֶל־ . . . ’el- קִרְבֶּ֗נָה them, however , qir·be·nāh וְלֹ֤א no one could wə·lō נוֹדַע֙ tell nō·w·ḏa‘ כִּי־ that kî- בָ֣אוּ they had [done so] ḇā·’ū אֶל־ . . . ’el- קִרְבֶּ֔נָה . . . ; qir·be·nāh וּמַרְאֵיהֶ֣ן their appearance ū·mar·’ê·hen רַ֔ע was as ugly ra‘ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר as ka·’ă·šer בַּתְּחִלָּ֑ה it had been before . bat·tə·ḥil·lāh וָאִיקָֽץ׃ Then I awoke . wā·’î·qāṣ Genesis 41:22 בַּחֲלֹמִ֑י In my dream ba·ḥă·lō·mî וְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ . . . wə·hin·nêh וָאֵ֖רֶא I also saw wā·’ê·re שֶׁ֣בַע seven še·ḇa‘ שִׁבֳּלִ֗ים heads of grain , šib·bo·lîm מְלֵאֹ֥ת plump mə·lê·’ōṯ וְטֹבֽוֹת׃ and ripe , wə·ṭō·ḇō·wṯ עֹלֹ֛ת growing on ‘ō·lōṯ אֶחָ֖ד a single ’e·ḥāḏ בְּקָנֶ֥ה stalk . bə·qā·neh Genesis 41:23 וְהִנֵּה֙ - wə·hin·nêh אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ After them , ’a·ḥă·rê·hem שֶׁ֣בַע seven other še·ḇa‘ שִׁבֳּלִ֔ים heads of grain šib·bo·lîm צֹמְח֖וֹת sprouted — ṣō·mə·ḥō·wṯ צְנֻמ֥וֹת withered , ṣə·nu·mō·wṯ
