1 Chronicles 18:10 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח he sent way·yiš·laḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנ֣וֹ his son bə·nōw הֲדֽוֹרָם־ Hadoram hă·ḏō·w·rām- אֶל־ ’el- לִשְׁאוֹל to greet liš·ʾōl ל֨וֹ - lōw הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ King ham·me·leḵ- דָּ֠וִיד David dā·wîḏ לְשָׁל֜וֹם vvv lə·šā·lō·wm וּֽלְבָרֲכ֗וֹ and bless him ū·lə·ḇā·ră·ḵōw עַל֩ for ‘al אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer נִלְחַ֤ם fighting nil·ḥam וַיַּכֵּ֔הוּ and defeating way·yak·kê·hū בַּהֲדַדְעֶ֙זֶר֙ Hadadezer , ba·hă·ḏaḏ·‘e·zer כִּי־ [who] kî- אִ֛ישׁ . . . ’îš הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר - hă·ḏaḏ·‘ā·zer הָיָ֣ה had been hā·yāh מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת at war mil·ḥă·mō·wṯ תֹּ֖עוּ with Tou . tō·‘ū וְכֹ֗ל [Hadoram brought] all kinds wə·ḵōl כְּלֵ֛י of articles kə·lê זָהָ֥ב of gold zā·hāḇ וָכֶ֖סֶף and silver wā·ḵe·sep̄ וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ and bronze , ū·nə·ḥō·šeṯ 1 Chronicles 18:11 גַּם־ and gam- הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ דָּוִיד֙ David dā·wîḏ הִקְדִּ֞ישׁ dedicated hiq·dîš אֹתָ֗ם these ’ō·ṯām לַיהוָ֔ה to YHWH , Yah·weh עִם־ along with ‘im- הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ the silver hak·ke·sep̄ וְהַזָּהָ֔ב and gold wə·haz·zā·hāḇ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer נָשָׂ֖א he had carried off nā·śā מִכָּל־ from all mik·kāl הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [these] nations — hag·gō·w·yim מֵֽאֱד֤וֹם from Edom mê·’ĕ·ḏō·wm וּמִמּוֹאָב֙ and Moab , ū·mim·mō·w·’āḇ וּמִבְּנֵ֣י and from the Ammonites ū·mib·bə·nê עַמּ֔וֹן . . . , ‘am·mō·wn וּמִפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים Philistines , ū·mip·pə·liš·tîm וּמֵֽעֲמָלֵֽק׃ and Amalekites . ū·mê·‘ă·mā·lêq 1 Chronicles 18:12 וְאַבְשַׁ֣י Moreover, Abishai wə·’aḇ·šay בֶּן־ son ben- צְרוּיָ֗ה of Zeruiah ṣə·rū·yāh הִכָּ֤ה struck down hik·kāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה eighteen šə·mō·w·nāh עָשָׂ֖ר . . . ‘ā·śār אָֽלֶף׃ thousand ’ā·lep̄ אֱדוֹם֙ Edomites ’ĕ·ḏō·wm בְּגֵ֣יא in the Valley bə·ḡê הַמֶּ֔לַח of Salt . ham·me·laḥ 1 Chronicles 18:13 וַיָּ֤שֶׂם He placed way·yā·śem נְצִיבִ֔ים garrisons nə·ṣî·ḇîm בֶּֽאֱדוֹם֙ in Edom , be·’ĕ·ḏō·wm כָל־ and all ḵāl אֱד֖וֹם the Edomites ’ĕ·ḏō·wm וַיִּהְי֥וּ were way·yih·yū עֲבָדִ֣ים subject ‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm לְדָוִ֑יד to David . lə·ḏā·wîḏ יְהוָה֙ So YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דָּוִ֔יד made David dā·wîḏ וַיּ֤וֹשַׁע victorious way·yō·wō·ša‘ בְּכֹ֖ל wherever bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הָלָֽךְ׃ he went . hā·lāḵ 1 Chronicles 18:14 דָּוִ֖יד Thus David dā·wîḏ וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ reigned way·yim·lōḵ עַל־ over ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיְהִ֗י and way·hî עֹשֶׂ֛ה administered ‘ō·śeh מִשְׁפָּ֥ט justice miš·pāṭ וּצְדָקָ֖ה and righteousness ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh לְכָל־ for all lə·ḵāl עַמּֽוֹ׃ his people : ‘am·mōw 1 Chronicles 18:15 וְיוֹאָ֥ב Joab wə·yō·w·’āḇ בֶּן־ son ben-
