אֵ֣ם mother , ’êm הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [his] ham·me·leḵ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- נְשֵׁ֨י wives , nə·šê סָרִיסָ֗יו his officials , sā·rî·sāw וְאֵת֙ and the leading men wə·’êṯ אֱוִלֵי . . . ʾɛ̆·wi·lē הָאָ֔רֶץ of the land . hā·’ā·reṣ הוֹלִ֛יךְ He took them hō·w·lîḵ גּוֹלָ֥ה into exile gō·w·lāh מִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם from Jerusalem mî·rū·šā·lim בָּבֶֽלָה׃ to Babylon . bā·ḇe·lāh 2 Kings 24:16 וְאֵת֩ - wə·’êṯ מֶֽלֶךְ־ The king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel וַיְבִיאֵ֧ם also brought way·ḇî·’êm גּוֹלָ֖ה into exile gō·w·lāh בָּבֶֽלָה׃ to Babylon bā·ḇe·lāh כָּל־ all kāl- שִׁבְעַ֣ת seven šiḇ·‘aṯ אֲלָפִ֗ים thousand ’ă·lā·p̄îm אַנְשֵׁ֨י men ’an·šê הַחַ֜יִל of valor ha·ḥa·yil אֶ֔לֶף and a thousand ’e·lep̄ וְהֶחָרָ֤שׁ craftsmen wə·he·ḥā·rāš וְהַמַּסְגֵּר֙ and metalsmiths — wə·ham·mas·gêr הַכֹּ֕ל all hak·kōl גִּבּוֹרִ֖ים strong gib·bō·w·rîm עֹשֵׂ֣י and fit ‘ō·śê מִלְחָמָ֑ה for battle . mil·ḥā·māh 2 Kings 24:17 מֶֽלֶךְ־ Then the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַתַּנְיָ֥ה made Mattaniah , mat·tan·yāh דֹד֖וֹ [Jehoiachin’s] uncle , ḏō·ḏōw וַיַּמְלֵ֧ךְ king way·yam·lêḵ תַּחְתָּ֑יו in his place taḥ·tāw וַיַּסֵּ֥ב and changed way·yas·sêḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמ֖וֹ his name šə·mōw צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃פ to Zedekiah . ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū 2 Kings 24:18 צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū עֶשְׂרִ֨ים was twenty-one ‘eś·rîm וְאַחַ֤ת . . . wə·’a·ḥaṯ בֶּן־ years old ben- שָׁנָה֙ . . . šā·nāh בְמָלְכ֔וֹ when he became king , ḇə·mā·lə·ḵōw מָלַ֖ךְ and he reigned mā·laḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וְאַחַ֤ת eleven wə·’a·ḥaṯ עֶשְׂרֵה֙ . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֔ה years . šā·nāh אִמּ֔וֹ His mother’s ’im·mōw וְשֵׁ֣ם name wə·šêm חֲמִיטַל was Hamutal ḥă·mī·ṭal בַּֽת־ daughter baṯ- יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ of Jeremiah ; yir·mə·yā·hū מִלִּבְנָֽה׃ she was from Libnah . mil·liḇ·nāh 2 Kings 24:19 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ And [Zedekiah] did way·ya·‘aś הָרַ֖ע evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh כְּכֹ֥ל just as kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יְהוֹיָקִֽים׃ Jehoiakim yə·hō·w·yā·qîm עָשָׂ֖ה had done . ‘ā·śāh 2 Kings 24:20 כִּ֣י׀ For kî עַל־ because ‘al- אַ֣ף of the anger ’ap̄ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH , Yah·weh הָיְתָ֤ה [all this] happened hā·yə·ṯāh בִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ in Jerusalem ḇî·rū·šā·lim וּבִ֣יהוּדָ֔ה and Judah , ū·ḇî·hū·ḏāh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הִשְׁלִכ֥וֹ He finally banished hiš·li·ḵōw אֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·ṯām מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al פָּנָ֑יו His presence . pā·nāw צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ And Zedekiah also ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū וַיִּמְרֹ֥ד rebelled way·yim·rōḏ בְּמֶ֥לֶךְ against the king bə·me·leḵ בָּבֶֽל׃ס of Babylon . bā·ḇel
