זֹּֽאת׃ס this . zōṯ 2 Kings 19:32 לָכֵ֗ן So lā·ḵên כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֤ר says ’ā·mar אֶל־ about ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria : ’aš·šūr לֹ֤א ‘ He will not lō יָבֹא֙ enter yā·ḇō אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ וְלֹֽא־ . . . wə·lō- הָעִ֣יר city hā·‘îr יוֹרֶ֥ה or shoot yō·w·reh חֵ֑ץ an arrow ḥêṣ וְלֹֽא־ . . . wə·lō- שָׁ֖ם into it . šām יְקַדְּמֶ֣נָּה He will not come before it yə·qad·də·men·nāh מָגֵ֔ן with a shield mā·ḡên וְלֹֽא־ [or] wə·lō- יִשְׁפֹּ֥ךְ build up yiš·pōḵ סֹלְלָֽה׃ a siege ramp sō·lə·lāh עָלֶ֖יהָ against it . ‘ā·le·hā 2 Kings 19:33 יָשׁ֑וּב He will go back yā·šūḇ בַּדֶּ֥רֶךְ the way bad·de·reḵ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יָבֹ֖א he came yā·ḇō בָּ֣הּ , bāh לֹ֥א and he will not lō וְאֶל־ enter wə·’el- יָבֹ֖א . . . yā·ḇō הַזֹּ֛את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city , ’ hā·‘îr נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh 2 Kings 19:34 וְגַנּוֹתִ֛י ‘ I will defend wə·ḡan·nō·w·ṯî אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַזֹּ֖את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr לְהֽוֹשִׁיעָ֑הּ and save it lə·hō·wō·šî·‘āh לְמַֽעֲנִ֔י for My own sake lə·ma·‘ă·nî וּלְמַ֖עַן and for the sake of ū·lə·ma·‘an עַבְדִּֽי׃ My servant ‘aḇ·dî דָּוִ֥ד David . ’” dā·wiḏ 2 Kings 19:35 וַיְהִי֮ And way·hî הַהוּא֒ that very ha·hū בַּלַּ֣יְלָה night bal·lay·lāh מַלְאַ֣ךְ the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיֵּצֵ֣א׀ went out way·yê·ṣê וַיַּךְ֙ and struck down way·yaḵ מֵאָ֛ה 185,000 men mê·’āh שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים . . . šə·mō·w·nîm וַחֲמִשָּׁ֖ה . . . wa·ḥă·miš·šāh אָ֑לֶף . . . ’ā·lep̄ בְּמַחֲנֵ֣ה in the camp bə·ma·ḥă·nêh אַשּׁ֔וּר of the Assyrians . ’aš·šūr וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ When the people got up way·yaš·kî·mū בַבֹּ֔קֶר the next morning , ḇab·bō·qer וְהִנֵּ֥ה there wə·hin·nêh כֻלָּ֖ם were all ḵul·lām מֵתִֽים׃ the dead mê·ṯîm פְּגָרִ֥ים bodies ! pə·ḡā·rîm 2 Kings 19:36 סַנְחֵרִ֣יב So Sennacherib san·ḥê·rîḇ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֑וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr וַיִּסַּ֣ע broke camp way·yis·sa‘ וַיֵּ֔לֶךְ and withdrew . way·yê·leḵ וַיָּ֖שָׁב He returned way·yā·šāḇ בְּנִֽינְוֵֽה׃ to Nineveh bə·nî·nə·wêh וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב and stayed there . way·yê·šeḇ 2 Kings 19:37 וַיְהִי֩ One day , way·hî ה֨וּא while he hū מִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֜ה was worshiping miš·ta·ḥă·weh בֵּ֣ית׀ in the temple bêṯ אֱלֹהָ֗יו of his god ’ĕ·lō·hāw נִסְרֹ֣ךְ Nisroch , nis·rōḵ וְֽאַדְרַמֶּ֨לֶךְ [his sons] Adrammelech wə·’aḏ·ram·me·leḵ וְשַׂרְאֶ֤צֶרָָ֙ and Sharezer wə·śar·ʾɛ·ṣɛ·rå̄ הִכֻּ֣הוּ put him hik·ku·hū בַחֶ֔רֶב to the sword ḇa·ḥe·reḇ
