2 Kings 18:27 רַב־ vvv raḇ- שָׁקֵ֗ה But the Rabshakeh šā·qêh וַיֹּ֨אמֶר replied way·yō·mer אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם . . . , ’ă·lê·hem אֲדֹנֶ֤יךָ “ Has my master ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā שְׁלָחַ֣נִי sent me šə·lā·ḥa·nî לְדַבֵּ֖ר to speak lə·ḏab·bêr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֣ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm הַעַ֨ל only to ha·‘al וְאֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ you and wə·’ê·le·ḵā אֲדֹנִ֔י your master , ’ă·ḏō·nî הֲלֹ֣א and not hă·lō עַל־ to ‘al- הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙ sitting hay·yō·šə·ḇîm עַל־ on ‘al- הַ֣חֹמָ֔ה the wall , ha·ḥō·māh עִמָּכֶֽם׃ who are destined with you ‘im·mā·ḵem לֶאֱכֹ֣ל to eat le·’ĕ·ḵōl אֶת - ʾɛṯ חֲרֵיהֶם their own dung ḥă·rē·hɛm וְלִשְׁתּ֛וֹת and drink wə·liš·tō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שֵׁינֵיהֶם their own urine ? ” šē·nē·hɛm 2 Kings 18:28 רַב־ vvv raḇ- שָׁקֵ֔ה Then the Rabshakeh šā·qêh וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ stood way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ וַיִּקְרָ֥א and called out way·yiq·rā בְקוֹל־ loudly ḇə·qō·wl- גָּד֖וֹל . . . gā·ḏō·wl יְהוּדִ֑ית in Hebrew yə·hū·ḏîṯ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר - way·ḏab·bêr וַיֹּ֔אמֶר - : way·yō·mer שִׁמְע֛וּ “ Hear šim·‘ū דְּבַר־ the word də·ḇar- הַגָּד֖וֹל of the great hag·gā·ḏō·wl הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ king , ham·me·leḵ מֶ֥לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ of Assyria ! ’aš·šūr 2 Kings 18:29 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַל־ Do not ’al- חִזְקִיָּ֑הוּ let Hezekiah ḥiz·qî·yā·hū כִּי־ . . . kî- יַשִּׁ֥יא deceive yaš·šî לָכֶ֖ם you ; lā·ḵem לֹ֣א he cannot lō יוּכַ֔ל . . . yū·ḵal לְהַצִּ֥יל deliver lə·haṣ·ṣîl אֶתְכֶ֖ם you ’eṯ·ḵem מִיָּדֽוֹ׃ from my hand . mî·yā·ḏōw 2 Kings 18:30 וְאַל־ Do not wə·’al- חִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ let Hezekiah ḥiz·qî·yā·hū יַבְטַ֨ח persuade you to trust yaḇ·ṭaḥ אֶתְכֶ֤ם - ’eṯ·ḵem אֶל־ in ’el- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh לֵאמֹ֔ר when he says , lê·mōr יְהוָ֑ה ‘ YHWH Yah·weh הַצֵּ֥ל will surely deliver us haṣ·ṣêl יַצִּילֵ֖נוּ . . . ; yaṣ·ṣî·lê·nū הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֣יר city hā·‘îr וְלֹ֤א will not wə·lō תִנָּתֵן֙ be given ṯin·nā·ṯên אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּיַ֖ד into the hand bə·yaḏ מֶ֥לֶךְ of the king me·leḵ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ of Assyria . ’ ’aš·šūr 2 Kings 18:31 אַֽל־ Do not ’al- תִּשְׁמְע֖וּ listen tiš·mə·‘ū אֶל־ to ’el- חִזְקִיָּ֑הוּ Hezekiah , ḥiz·qî·yā·hū כִּי֩ for kî כֹ֨ה this is what ḵōh מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אַשּׁ֗וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr אָמַ֜ר says : ’ā·mar עֲשֽׂוּ־ Make ‘ă·śū- בְרָכָה֙ peace ḇə·rā·ḵāh אִתִּ֤י with me ’it·tî וּצְא֣וּ and come out ū·ṣə·’ū אֵלַ֔י to me . ’ê·lay אִישׁ־ Then every one of you ’îš- וְאִכְל֤וּ will eat wə·’iḵ·lū
