2 Kings 10:20 יֵה֗וּא And Jehu yê·hū וַיֹּ֣אמֶר commanded , way·yō·mer קַדְּשׁ֧וּ “ Proclaim qad·də·šū עֲצָרָ֛ה a solemn assembly ‘ă·ṣā·rāh לַבַּ֖עַל for Baal . ” lab·ba·‘al וַיִּקְרָֽאוּ׃ So they announced it . way·yiq·rā·’ū 2 Kings 10:21 יֵהוּא֙ Then Jehu yê·hū וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח sent word way·yiš·laḥ בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כָּל־ and all kāl- עֹבְדֵ֣י the servants ‘ō·ḇə·ḏê הַבַּ֔עַל of Baal hab·ba·‘al וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ came ; way·yā·ḇō·’ū וְלֹֽא־ there was not wə·lō- אִ֖ישׁ a man ’îš נִשְׁאַ֥ר - niš·’ar אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ failed lō- בָ֑א to show . ḇā וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ They entered way·yā·ḇō·’ū בֵּ֣ית the temple bêṯ הַבַּ֔עַל of Baal , hab·ba·‘al בֵית־ and it ḇêṯ- הַבַּ֖עַל . . . hab·ba·‘al וַיִּמָּלֵ֥א was filled way·yim·mā·lê פֶּ֥ה from end peh לָפֶֽה׃ to end . lā·p̄eh 2 Kings 10:22 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר And [Jehu] said way·yō·mer לַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ to the keeper la·’ă·šer עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַמֶּלְתָּחָ֔ה of the wardrobe , ham·mel·tā·ḥāh הוֹצֵ֣א “ Bring out hō·w·ṣê לְב֔וּשׁ garments lə·ḇūš לְכֹ֖ל for all lə·ḵōl עֹבְדֵ֣י the servants ‘ō·ḇə·ḏê הַבָּ֑עַל of Baal . ” hab·bā·‘al וַיֹּצֵ֥א So he brought out way·yō·ṣê הַמַּלְבּֽוּשׁ׃ garments ham·mal·būš לָהֶ֖ם for them . lā·hem 2 Kings 10:23 יֵה֛וּא Next, Jehu yê·hū וִיהוֹנָדָ֥ב and Jehonadab wî·hō·w·nā·ḏāḇ בֶּן־ son ben- רֵכָ֖ב of Rechab rê·ḵāḇ וַיָּבֹ֥א entered way·yā·ḇō בֵּ֣ית the temple bêṯ הַבָּ֑עַל of Baal , hab·bā·‘al וַיֹּ֜אמֶר and Jehu said way·yō·mer לְעֹבְדֵ֣י to the servants lə·‘ō·ḇə·ḏê הַבַּ֗עַל of Baal , hab·ba·‘al חַפְּשׂ֤וּ “ Look around ḥap·pə·śū וּרְאוּ֙ to see ū·rə·’ū יֶשׁ־ that there are yeš- פֶּן־ no pen- מֵעַבְדֵ֣י servants mê·‘aḇ·ḏê יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh פֹּ֤ה here pōh עִמָּכֶם֙ among you — ‘im·mā·ḵem כִּ֛י only kî אִם־ . . . ’im- עֹבְדֵ֥י servants ‘ō·ḇə·ḏê הַבַּ֖עַל of Baal hab·ba·‘al לְבַדָּֽם׃ . . . . ” lə·ḇad·dām 2 Kings 10:24 וַיָּבֹ֕אוּ And they went in way·yā·ḇō·’ū לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת to offer la·‘ă·śō·wṯ זְבָחִ֣ים sacrifices zə·ḇā·ḥîm וְעֹל֑וֹת and burnt offerings . wə·‘ō·lō·wṯ וְיֵה֞וּא Now Jehu wə·yê·hū שָׂם־ had stationed śām- ל֤וֹ lōw שְׁמֹנִ֣ים eighty šə·mō·nîm אִ֔ישׁ men ’îš בַחוּץ֙ outside ḇa·ḥūṣ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and warned them , way·yō·mer הָאִ֤ישׁ “ If anyone hā·’îš אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- מִן־ allows one of min- הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî מֵבִ֣יא am delivering mê·ḇî עַל־ into ‘al- יְדֵיכֶ֔ם your hands yə·ḏê·ḵem יִמָּלֵט֙ to escape , yim·mā·lêṭ נַפְשׁ֖וֹ he will forfeit his life nap̄·šōw תַּ֥חַת for ta·ḥaṯ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ theirs . ” nap̄·šōw
