בְּחָֽדֶר׃ . . . . bə·ḥā·ḏer 2 Kings 9:3 וְלָקַחְתָּ֤ Then take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā פַךְ־ the flask p̄aḵ- הַשֶּׁ֙מֶן֙ of oil , haš·še·men וְיָצַקְתָּ֣ pour wə·yā·ṣaq·tā עַל־ it on ‘al- רֹאשׁ֔וֹ his head , rō·šōw וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ and declare , wə·’ā·mar·tā כֹּֽה־ ‘ This is what kōh- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar מְשַׁחְתִּ֥יךָֽ I anoint mə·šaḥ·tî·ḵā לְמֶ֖לֶךְ you king lə·me·leḵ אֶל־ over ’el- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel . ’ yiś·rā·’êl וּפָתַחְתָּ֥ Then open ū·p̄ā·ṯaḥ·tā הַדֶּ֛לֶת the door had·de·leṯ וְנַ֖סְתָּה and run . wə·nas·tāh וְלֹ֥א Do not wə·lō תְחַכֶּֽה׃ delay ! ” ṯə·ḥak·keh 2 Kings 9:4 הַנַּ֛עַר So the young han·na·‘ar הַנַּ֥עַר . . . han·na·‘ar הַנָּבִ֖יא prophet han·nā·ḇî וַיֵּ֧לֶךְ went way·yê·leḵ רָמֹ֥ת to Ramoth-gilead , rā·mōṯ גִּלְעָֽד׃ . . . gil·‘āḏ 2 Kings 9:5 וַיָּבֹ֗א and when he arrived , way·yā·ḇō הַחַ֙יִל֙ the army ha·ḥa·yil שָׂרֵ֤י commanders śā·rê יֹֽשְׁבִ֔ים were sitting yō·šə·ḇîm וְהִנֵּ֨ה there . wə·hin·nêh דָּבָ֥ר “ I have a message dā·ḇār לִ֛י lî אֵלֶ֖יךָ for you , ’ê·le·ḵā הַשָּׂ֑ר commander , ” haś·śār וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he said . way·yō·mer אֶל־ “ For ’el- מִ֣י which mî מִכֻּלָּ֔נוּ of us ? ” mik·kul·lā·nū וַיֹּ֤אמֶר asked way·yō·mer יֵהוּא֙ Jehu . yê·hū אֵלֶ֥יךָ “ For you , ’ê·le·ḵā הַשָּֽׂר׃ commander , ” haś·śār וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he replied . way·yō·mer 2 Kings 9:6 וַיָּ֙קָם֙ So Jehu got up way·yā·qām וַיָּבֹ֣א and went way·yā·ḇō הַבַּ֔יְתָה into the house , hab·bay·ṯāh וַיִּצֹ֥ק where the young prophet poured way·yi·ṣōq הַשֶּׁ֖מֶן the oil haš·še·men אֶל־ on ’el- רֹאשׁ֑וֹ his head rō·šōw וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and declared way·yō·mer ל֗וֹ , lōw כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֤ר says : ’ā·mar מְשַׁחְתִּ֧יךָֽ ‘ I anoint you mə·šaḥ·tî·ḵā לְמֶ֛לֶךְ king lə·me·leḵ אֶל־ over ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH’s Yah·weh אֶל־ . . . ’el- עַ֥ם people ‘am יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Kings 9:7 וְהִ֨כִּיתָ֔ה And you are to strike down wə·hik·kî·ṯāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ אֲדֹנֶ֑יךָ of your master ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā אַחְאָ֖ב Ahab , ’aḥ·’āḇ וְנִקַּמְתִּ֞י so that I may avenge wə·niq·qam·tî דְּמֵ֣י׀ the blood də·mê עֲבָדַ֣י of My servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏay הַנְּבִיאִ֗ים the prophets han·nə·ḇî·’îm וּדְמֵ֛י and the blood ū·ḏə·mê כָּל־ of all kāl- עַבְדֵ֥י the servants ‘aḇ·ḏê יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh מִיַּ֥ד [shed] by the hand mî·yaḏ אִיזָֽבֶל׃ of Jezebel . ’î·zā·ḇel 2 Kings 9:8 כָּל־ The whole kāl- בֵּ֣ית house bêṯ
