מִן־ of min- הַסּוּסִים֮ the horses has·sū·sîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer הַֽנִּשְׁאָרִים֮ remain han·niš·’ā·rîm נִשְׁאֲרוּ־ . . . niš·’ă·rū- בָהּ֒ in the city . ḇāh הִנָּ֗ם Their plight hin·nām כְּכָל־ will be no worse than all kə·ḵāl- הֶהָמוֹן vvv hɛ·hå̄·mōn יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer נִשְׁאֲרוּ־ are left niš·’ă·rū- בָ֔הּ here . ḇāh הִנָּ֕ם You can see hin·nām כְּכָל־ that kə·ḵāl- הֲמ֥וֹן vvv hă·mō·wn יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל all the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁר־ here ’ă·šer- תָּ֑מּוּ are doomed . tām·mū וְנִשְׁלְחָ֖ה So let us send them wə·niš·lə·ḥāh וְנִרְאֶֽה׃ and find out . ” wə·nir·’eh 2 Kings 7:14 וַיִּקְח֕וּ Then [the scouts] took way·yiq·ḥū שְׁנֵ֖י two šə·nê רֶ֣כֶב chariots re·ḵeḇ סוּסִ֑ים with horses , sū·sîm הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ and the king ham·me·leḵ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח sent them way·yiš·laḥ אַחֲרֵ֧י after ’a·ḥă·rê אֲרָ֛ם the Aramean ’ă·rām מַחֲנֵֽה־ army , ma·ḥă·nêh- לֵאמֹ֖ר saying , lê·mōr לְכ֥וּ “ Go lə·ḵū וּרְאֽוּ׃ and see . ” ū·rə·’ū 2 Kings 7:15 וַיֵּלְכ֣וּ And they tracked them way·yê·lə·ḵū אַחֲרֵיהֶם֮ . . . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem עַד־ as ‘aḏ- הַיַּרְדֵּן֒ far as the Jordan , hay·yar·dên וְהִנֵּ֣ה and indeed , wə·hin·nêh כָל־ the whole ḵāl הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ way had·de·reḵ מְלֵאָ֤ה was littered with mə·lê·’āh בְגָדִים֙ the clothing ḇə·ḡā·ḏîm וְכֵלִ֔ים and equipment wə·ḵê·lîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אֲרָ֖ם the Arameans ’ă·rām הִשְׁלִ֥יכוּ had thrown off hiš·lî·ḵū בְּהֵחָפְזָם in haste . bə·hē·ḥå̄·p̄ə·zå̄m הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים So the scouts ham·mal·’ā·ḵîm וַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ returned way·yā·šu·ḇū וַיַּגִּ֖דוּ and told way·yag·gi·ḏū לַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ the king . lam·me·leḵ 2 Kings 7:16 הָעָ֔ם Then the people hā·‘ām וַיֵּצֵ֣א went out way·yê·ṣê וַיָּבֹ֕זּוּ and plundered way·yā·ḇōz·zū אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ מַחֲנֵ֣ה the camp ma·ḥă·nêh אֲרָ֑ם of the Arameans . ’ă·rām וַיְהִ֨י It was then that way·hî סְאָה־ a seah sə·’āh- סֹ֜לֶת of fine flour sō·leṯ בְּשֶׁ֗קֶל [sold] for a shekel , bə·še·qel וְסָאתַ֧יִם and two seahs wə·sā·ṯa·yim שְׂעֹרִ֛ים of barley śə·‘ō·rîm בְּשֶׁ֖קֶל [sold] for a shekel , bə·še·qel כִּדְבַ֥ר according to the word kiḏ·ḇar יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh 2 Kings 7:17 וְהַמֶּלֶךְ֩ Now the king wə·ham·me·leḵ הִפְקִ֨יד had appointed hip̄·qîḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַשָּׁלִ֜ישׁ the officer haš·šā·lîš עַל־ on ‘al- אֲשֶׁר־ whose ’ă·šer- יָדוֹ֙ arm yā·ḏōw נִשְׁעָ֤ן he leaned niš·‘ān עַל־ to be in charge of ‘al- הַשַּׁ֔עַר the gate , haš·ša·‘ar הָעָ֛ם but the people hā·‘ām וַיִּרְמְסֻ֧הוּ trampled him way·yir·mə·su·hū בַּשַּׁ֖עַר in the gateway , baš·ša·‘ar וַיָּמֹ֑ת and he died , way·yā·mōṯ כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר just as ka·’ă·šer דִּבֶּר֙ dib·ber אִ֣ישׁ the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer דִּבֶּ֔ר had foretold dib·ber הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ when the king ham·me·leḵ בְּרֶ֥דֶת had come bə·re·ḏeṯ
