וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer הִנֵּ֣ה׀ “ Look , hin·nêh אֲדֹנִ֗י my master ’ă·ḏō·nî אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- חָשַׂ֣ךְ has spared ḥā·śaḵ הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הָֽאֲרַמִּי֙ Aramean , hā·’ă·ram·mî נַעֲמָ֤ן Naaman , na·‘ă·mān מִקַּ֥חַת while not accepting miq·qa·ḥaṯ מִיָּד֖וֹ . . . mî·yā·ḏōw אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- הֵבִ֑יא he brought . hê·ḇî יְהוָה֙ As surely as YHWH Yah·weh כִּֽי־ . . . kî- אִם־ . . . ’im- חַי־ lives , ḥay- רַ֣צְתִּי I will run raṣ·tî אַחֲרָ֔יו after him ’a·ḥă·rāw וְלָקַחְתִּ֥י and get wə·lā·qaḥ·tî מְאֽוּמָה׃ something mə·’ū·māh מֵאִתּ֖וֹ from him . ” mê·’it·tōw 2 Kings 5:21 גֵּיחֲזִ֖י So Gehazi gê·ḥă·zî וַיִּרְדֹּ֥ף pursued way·yir·dōp̄ אַחֲרֵ֣י ’a·ḥă·rê נַֽעֲמָ֑ן Naaman . na·‘ă·mān נַֽעֲמָן֙ And when Naaman na·‘ă·mān וַיִּרְאֶ֤ה saw [him] way·yir·’eh רָ֣ץ running rāṣ אַחֲרָ֔יו toward him , ’a·ḥă·rāw וַיִּפֹּ֞ל he got down way·yip·pōl מֵעַ֧ל from mê·‘al הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה the chariot ham·mer·kā·ḇāh לִקְרָאת֖וֹ to meet him liq·rā·ṯōw וַיֹּ֥אמֶר and asked , way·yō·mer הֲשָׁלֽוֹם׃ “ Is everything all right ? ” hă·šā·lō·wm 2 Kings 5:22 שָׁל֗וֹם “ Everything [is] all right , ” šā·lō·wm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ Gehazi replied . way·yō·mer אֲדֹנִי֮ “ My master ’ă·ḏō·nî שְׁלָחַ֣נִי has sent me šə·lā·ḥa·nî לֵאמֹר֒ to say , lê·mōr עַתָּ֡ה ‘ I have just now ‘at·tāh זֶ֠ה . . . zeh הִנֵּ֣ה discovered hin·nêh שְׁנֵֽי־ that two šə·nê- נְעָרִ֛ים young men nə·‘ā·rîm מִבְּנֵ֣י from the sons mib·bə·nê הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים of the prophets han·nə·ḇî·’îm בָּ֣אוּ have come bā·’ū אֵלַ֧י to me ’ê·lay מֵהַ֥ר from the hill country mê·har אֶפְרַ֖יִם of Ephraim . ’ep̄·ra·yim נָּ֤א Please nā תְּנָה־ give tə·nāh- לָהֶם֙ them lā·hem כִּכַּר־ a talent kik·kar- כֶּ֔סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ וּשְׁתֵּ֖י and two ū·šə·tê חֲלִפ֥וֹת sets ḥă·li·p̄ō·wṯ בְּגָדִֽים׃ of clothing . ’” bə·ḡā·ḏîm 2 Kings 5:23 נַעֲמָ֔ן But Naaman na·‘ă·mān וַיֹּ֣אמֶר insisted , way·yō·mer הוֹאֵ֖ל “ Please , hō·w·’êl קַ֣ח take qaḥ כִּכָּרָ֑יִם two talents . ” kik·kā·rā·yim וַיִּפְרָץ־ And he urged way·yip̄·rāṣ- בּ֗וֹ Gehazi {to accept them} . bōw וַיָּצַר֩ Then he tied up way·yā·ṣar כִּכְּרַ֨יִם two talents kik·kə·ra·yim כֶּ֜סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ בִּשְׁנֵ֣י in two biš·nê חֲרִטִ֗ים bags ḥă·ri·ṭîm וּשְׁתֵּי֙ along with two ū·šə·tê חֲלִפ֣וֹת sets ḥă·li·p̄ō·wṯ בְּגָדִ֔ים of clothing bə·ḡā·ḏîm וַיִּתֵּן֙ and gave them way·yit·tên אֶל־ to ’el- שְׁנֵ֣י two šə·nê נְעָרָ֔יו of his servants , nə·‘ā·rāw וַיִּשְׂא֖וּ who carried them way·yiś·’ū לְפָנָֽיו׃ ahead of Gehazi . lə·p̄ā·nāw 2 Kings 5:24 וַיָּבֹא֙ When Gehazi came way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ to ’el- הָעֹ֔פֶל the hill , hā·‘ō·p̄el וַיִּקַּ֥ח he took way·yiq·qaḥ מִיָּדָ֖ם the gifts from [the servants] mî·yā·ḏām וַיִּפְקֹ֣ד and stored them way·yip̄·qōḏ בַּבָּ֑יִת in the house . bab·bā·yiṯ
