בְּנָהּ֙ her son , bə·nāh הַגִּ֨ישָׁה “ Bring me hag·gî·šāh אֵלַ֥י . . . ’ê·lay עוֹד֙ another ‘ō·wḏ כֶּ֔לִי . . . . ” ke·lî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר But he replied , way·yō·mer אֵלֶ֔יהָ . . . ’ê·le·hā אֵ֥ין “ There are no ’ên ע֖וֹד more ‘ō·wḏ כֶּ֑לִי jars . ” ke·lî הַשָּֽׁמֶן׃ Then the oil haš·šā·men וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד stopped flowing . way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ 2 Kings 4:7 וַתָּבֹ֗א She went wat·tā·ḇō וַתַּגֵּד֙ and told wat·tag·gêḏ לְאִ֣ישׁ the man lə·’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים of God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and he said , way·yō·mer לְכִי֙ “ Go , lə·ḵî מִכְרִ֣י sell miḵ·rî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַשֶּׁ֔מֶן the oil , haš·še·men וְשַׁלְּמִ֖י and pay wə·šal·lə·mî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נִשְׁיֵכִי your debt . niš·yē·ḵī וְאַ֣תְּ Then you wə·’at בְּנֵיכִי and your sons bə·nē·ḵī תִֽחְיִ֖י can live ṯiḥ·yî בַּנּוֹתָֽר׃פ on the remainder . ” ban·nō·w·ṯār 2 Kings 4:8 וַיְהִ֨י - way·hî הַיּ֜וֹם One day hay·yō·wm אֱלִישָׁ֣ע Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ וַיַּעֲבֹ֧ר went way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr אֶל־ to ’el- שׁוּנֵ֗ם Shunem , šū·nêm גְדוֹלָ֔ה and a prominent ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh אִשָּׁ֣ה woman ’iš·šāh וְשָׁם֙ who lived there wə·šām וַתַּחֲזֶק־ persuaded wat·ta·ḥă·zeq- בּ֖וֹ him bōw לֶאֱכָל־ to have a meal le·’ĕ·ḵāl- לָ֑חֶם . . . . lā·ḥem וַֽיְהִי֙ So whenever way·hî מִדֵּ֣י . . . mid·dê עָבְר֔וֹ he would pass by , ‘ā·ḇə·rōw יָסֻ֥ר he would stop yā·sur שָׁ֖מָּה there šām·māh לֶאֱכָל־ to eat le·’ĕ·ḵāl- לָֽחֶם׃ . . . . lā·ḥem 2 Kings 4:9 וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ Then [the woman] said wat·tō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- אִישָׁ֔הּ her husband , ’î·šāh הִנֵּה־ “ Behold , hin·nêh- נָ֣א now nā יָדַ֔עְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî כִּ֛י that kî ה֑וּא the one hū תָּמִֽיד׃ who often tā·mîḏ עֹבֵ֥ר comes our way ‘ō·ḇêr עָלֵ֖ינוּ . . . ‘ā·lê·nū קָד֣וֹשׁ is a holy qā·ḏō·wōš אִ֥ישׁ man ’îš אֱלֹהִ֖ים of God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm 2 Kings 4:10 נָּ֤א Please nā נַֽעֲשֶׂה־ let us make na·‘ă·śeh- קְטַנָּ֔ה a small qə·ṭan·nāh עֲלִיַּת־ room upstairs ‘ă·lî·yaṯ- קִיר֙ . . . qîr וְנָשִׂ֨ים and put wə·nā·śîm שָׁ֛ם in it šām מִטָּ֥ה a bed , miṭ·ṭāh וְשֻׁלְחָ֖ן a table , wə·šul·ḥān וְכִסֵּ֣א a chair , wə·ḵis·sê וּמְנוֹרָ֑ה and a lamp ū·mə·nō·w·rāh ל֥וֹ for him . lōw וְהָיָ֛ה Then when wə·hā·yāh בְּבֹא֥וֹ he comes bə·ḇō·’ōw אֵלֵ֖ינוּ to us , ’ê·lê·nū יָס֥וּר he can stay yā·sūr שָֽׁמָּה׃ there . ” šām·māh 2 Kings 4:11 וַיְהִ֥י - way·hî הַיּ֖וֹם One day hay·yō·wm וַיָּ֣בֹא [Elisha] came to visit way·yā·ḇō שָׁ֑מָּה . . . šām·māh וַיָּ֥סַר and went way·yā·sar אֶל־ to ’el-
