אֶל־ to ’el- מַחֲנֵ֣ה the camp ma·ḥă·nêh יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl וַיָּקֻ֤מוּ rose up way·yā·qu·mū וַיַּכּ֣וּ and attacked way·yak·kū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מוֹאָ֔ב them , mō·w·’āḇ וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ and they fled way·yā·nu·sū מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם before them . mip·pə·nê·hem וַיָּבוֹ So [the Israelites] invaded [their land] way·yå̄·ḇō בָ֔הּ ḇāh וְהַכּ֖וֹת and struck down wə·hak·kō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מוֹאָֽב׃ the Moabites . mō·w·’āḇ 2 Kings 3:25 יַהֲרֹ֡סוּ They destroyed ya·hă·rō·sū וְהֶעָרִ֣ים the cities , wə·he·‘ā·rîm אִישׁ־ and each man ’îš- יַשְׁלִ֨יכוּ threw yaš·lî·ḵū אַבְנ֜וֹ stones ’aḇ·nōw וְכָל־ on every wə·ḵāl ט֠וֹבָה good ṭō·w·ḇāh חֶלְקָ֣ה field ḥel·qāh וּמִלְא֗וּהָ until it was covered . ū·mil·’ū·hā יִסְתֹּ֙מוּ֙ They stopped up yis·tō·mū וְכָל־ every wə·ḵāl מַעְיַן־ spring ma‘·yan- מַ֤יִם . . . ma·yim יַפִּ֔ילוּ and cut down yap·pî·lū וְכָל־ every wə·ḵāl ט֣וֹב good ṭō·wḇ עֵֽץ־ tree . ‘êṣ- עַד־ Only ‘aḏ- בַּקִּ֖יר vvv baq·qîr חֲרָ֑שֶׂת Kir-haraseth ḥă·rā·śeṯ הִשְׁאִ֧יר was left hiš·’îr אֲבָנֶ֛יהָ with stones in place , ’ă·ḇā·ne·hā הַקַּלָּעִ֖ים but men with slings haq·qal·lā·‘îm וַיָּסֹ֥בּוּ surrounded it way·yā·sōb·bū וַיַּכּֽוּהָ׃ and attacked it [as well] . way·yak·kū·hā 2 Kings 3:26 מֶ֣לֶךְ When the king me·leḵ מוֹאָ֔ב of Moab mō·w·’āḇ וַיַּרְא֙ saw way·yar כִּֽי־ that kî- הַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה the battle ham·mil·ḥā·māh חָזַ֥ק was too fierce ḥā·zaq מִמֶּ֖נּוּ for him , mim·men·nū וַיִּקַּ֣ח he took way·yiq·qaḥ א֠וֹתוֹ with him ’ō·w·ṯōw שְׁבַע־ seven šə·ḇa‘- מֵא֨וֹת hundred mê·’ō·wṯ אִ֜ישׁ swordsmen ’îš שֹׁ֣לֵֽף . . . šō·lêp̄ חֶ֗רֶב . . . ḥe·reḇ לְהַבְקִ֛יעַ to break through lə·haḇ·qî·a‘ אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֥לֶךְ the king me·leḵ אֱד֖וֹם of Edom , ’ĕ·ḏō·wm יָכֹֽלוּ׃ but they could not prevail yā·ḵō·lū וְלֹ֥א . . . . wə·lō 2 Kings 3:27 וַיִּקַּח֩ So he took way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבְּכ֜וֹר his firstborn hab·bə·ḵō·wr בְּנ֨וֹ son , bə·nōw אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- יִמְלֹ֣ךְ was to succeed him yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּ֗יו . . . , taḥ·tāw וַיַּעֲלֵ֤הוּ and offered him way·ya·‘ă·lê·hū עֹלָה֙ as a burnt offering ‘ō·lāh עַל־ on ‘al- הַ֣חֹמָ֔ה the city wall . ha·ḥō·māh וַיְהִ֥י And there was way·hî גָּד֖וֹל great gā·ḏō·wl קֶצֶף־ fury qe·ṣep̄- עַל־ against ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּסְעוּ֙ so they withdrew way·yis·‘ū מֵֽעָלָ֔יו . . . mê·‘ā·lāw וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ and returned way·yā·šu·ḇū לָאָֽרֶץ׃פ to [their own] land . lā·’ā·reṣ 2 Kings 4:1 מִנְּשֵׁ֣י Now the wife min·nə·šê וְאִשָּׁ֣ה . . . wə·’iš·šāh אַחַ֣ת of one ’a·ḥaṯ בְנֵֽי־ of the sons ḇə·nê- הַ֠נְּבִיאִים of the prophets han·nə·ḇî·’îm צָעֲקָ֨ה cried out ṣā·‘ă·qāh אֶל־ to ’el- אֱלִישָׁ֜ע Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘
