בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וְנָתַ֥ן and He will also deliver wə·nā·ṯan מוֹאָ֖ב the Moabites mō·w·’āḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃ into your hand . bə·yeḏ·ḵem 2 Kings 3:19 וְהִכִּיתֶ֞ם And you shall attack wə·hik·kî·ṯem כָּל־ every kāl- מִבְצָר֙ fortified miḇ·ṣār עִ֤יר city ‘îr וְכָל־ and every wə·ḵāl עִ֣יר city ‘îr מִבְח֔וֹר of importance . miḇ·ḥō·wr תַּפִּ֔ילוּ You shall cut down tap·pî·lū וְכָל־ every wə·ḵāl טוֹב֙ good ṭō·wḇ עֵ֥ץ tree , ‘êṣ תִּסְתֹּ֑מוּ stop up tis·tō·mū וְכָל־ every wə·ḵāl מַעְיְנֵי־ spring ma‘·yə·nê- מַ֖יִם . . . , ma·yim תַּכְאִ֖בוּ and ruin taḵ·’i·ḇū וְכֹל֙ every wə·ḵōl הַטּוֹבָ֔ה good haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh הַחֶלְקָ֣ה field ha·ḥel·qāh בָּאֲבָנִֽים׃ with stones . ” bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm 2 Kings 3:20 בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ The next morning , ḇab·bō·qer וַיְהִ֤י . . . way·hî כַּעֲל֣וֹת at the time of the morning sacrifice ka·‘ă·lō·wṯ הַמִּנְחָ֔ה . . . , ham·min·ḥāh מַ֥יִם water ma·yim וְהִנֵּה־ suddenly wə·hin·nêh- בָּאִ֖ים flowed bā·’îm מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ from the direction mid·de·reḵ אֱד֑וֹם of Edom ’ĕ·ḏō·wm וַתִּמָּלֵ֥א and filled wat·tim·mā·lê הָאָ֖רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמָּֽיִם׃ - . ham·mā·yim 2 Kings 3:21 וְכָל־ Now all wə·ḵāl מוֹאָב֙ the Moabites mō·w·’āḇ שָֽׁמְע֔וּ had heard šā·mə·‘ū כִּֽי־ that kî- הַמְּלָכִ֖ים the kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm עָל֥וּ had come up ‘ā·lū לְהִלָּ֣חֶם to fight lə·hil·lā·ḥem בָּ֑ם against them . bām מִכֹּ֨ל So all mik·kōl חֹגֵ֤ר who could bear arms ḥō·ḡêr חֲגֹרָה֙ . . . , ḥă·ḡō·rāh וָמַ֔עְלָה [young] and old , wā·ma‘·lāh וַיִּצָּעֲק֗וּ were summoned way·yiṣ·ṣā·‘ă·qū וַיַּעַמְד֖וּ and stationed way·ya·‘am·ḏū עַֽל־ at ‘al- הַגְּבֽוּל׃ the border . hag·gə·ḇūl 2 Kings 3:22 וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ When they got up early way·yaš·kî·mū בַבֹּ֔קֶר in the morning , ḇab·bō·qer וְהַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ the sun wə·haš·še·meš זָרְחָ֣ה was shining zā·rə·ḥāh עַל־ on ‘al- הַמָּ֑יִם the water , ham·mā·yim הַמַּ֖יִם and [it] ham·ma·yim וַיִּרְא֨וּ looked way·yir·’ū אֲדֻמִּ֥ים [as] red ’ă·ḏum·mîm כַּדָּֽם׃ as blood kad·dām מוֹאָ֥ב to the Moabites mō·w·’āḇ מִנֶּ֛גֶד across the way min·ne·ḡeḏ אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- 2 Kings 3:23 זֶ֔ה “ This zeh הָחֳרֵ֤ב . . . hā·ḥo·rêḇ דָּ֣ם is blood ! ” dām וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ they exclaimed . way·yō·mə·rū הַמְּלָכִ֔ים “ The kings ham·mə·lā·ḵîm נֶֽחֶרְבוּ֙ have clashed swords ne·ḥer·ḇū וַיַּכּ֖וּ and slaughtered way·yak·kū אִ֣ישׁ one ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רֵעֵ֑הוּ another . rê·‘ê·hū וְעַתָּ֥ה Now wə·‘at·tāh לַשָּׁלָ֖ל to the plunder , laš·šā·lāl מוֹאָֽב׃ Moab ! ” mō·w·’āḇ 2 Kings 3:24 וַיָּבֹאוּ֮ But when the Moabites came way·yā·ḇō·’ū
