סְפָרִים֙ letters sə·p̄ā·rîm אַחְאָ֔ב in Ahab’s ’aḥ·’āḇ בְּשֵׁ֣ם name , bə·šêm בְּחֹתָמ֑וֹ sealed them bə·ḥō·ṯā·mōw וַתַּחְתֹּ֖ם with his seal , wat·taḥ·tōm וַתִּשְׁלַ֣ח and sent wat·tiš·laḥ הַסְפָרִים [them] has·p̄å̄·rīm אֶל־ to ’el- הַזְקֵנִ֤ים the elders haz·qē·nīm וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- הַֽחֹרִים֙ and nobles ha·ḥō·rîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים lived hay·yō·šə·ḇîm אֶת־ with ’eṯ- נָבֽוֹת׃ Naboth nā·ḇō·wṯ בְּעִיר֔וֹ in his city . bə·‘î·rōw 1 Kings 21:9 בַּסְּפָרִ֖ים In the letters bas·sə·p̄ā·rîm לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr וַתִּכְתֹּ֥ב she wrote : wat·tiḵ·tōḇ קִֽרְאוּ־ “ Proclaim qir·’ū- צ֔וֹם a fast ṣō·wm וְהוֹשִׁ֥יבוּ and give wə·hō·wō·šî·ḇū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נָב֖וֹת Naboth nā·ḇō·wṯ בְּרֹ֥אשׁ a seat of honor bə·rōš הָעָֽם׃ among the people . hā·‘ām 1 Kings 21:10 וְ֠הוֹשִׁיבוּ But seat wə·hō·wō·šî·ḇū שְׁנַ֨יִם two šə·na·yim אֲנָשִׁ֥ים . . . ’ă·nā·šîm בְּנֵֽי־ . . . bə·nê- בְלִיַּעַל֮ scoundrels ḇə·lî·ya·‘al נֶגְדּוֹ֒ opposite him neḡ·dōw וִיעִדֻ֣הוּ and have them testify wî·‘i·ḏu·hū לֵאמֹ֔ר . . . , lê·mōr בֵּרַ֥כְתָּ ‘ You have cursed bê·raḵ·tā אֱלֹהִ֖ים [both] God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וָמֶ֑לֶךְ and the king ! ’ wā·me·leḵ וְהוֹצִיאֻ֥הוּ Then take him out wə·hō·w·ṣî·’u·hū וְסִקְלֻ֖הוּ and stone him wə·siq·lu·hū וְיָמֹֽת׃ to death . ” wə·yā·mōṯ 1 Kings 21:11 אַנְשֵׁ֨י - ’an·šê עִיר֜וֹ - ‘î·rōw הַזְּקֵנִ֣ים So the elders haz·zə·qê·nîm וְהַחֹרִ֗ים and nobles wə·ha·ḥō·rîm אֲשֶׁ֤ר who ’ă·šer הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙ lived hay·yō·šə·ḇîm בְּעִיר֔וֹ in [Naboth’s] city bə·‘î·rōw וַיַּעֲשׂוּ֩ did way·ya·‘ă·śū כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר as ka·’ă·šer אִיזָ֑בֶל Jezebel ’î·zā·ḇel שָׁלְחָ֥ה had instructed šā·lə·ḥāh אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם - ’ă·lê·hem כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר - ka·’ă·šer כָּתוּב֙ - kā·ṯūḇ בַּסְּפָרִ֔ים in the letters bas·sə·p̄ā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer שָׁלְחָ֖ה she had written šā·lə·ḥāh אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ to them . ’ă·lê·hem 1 Kings 21:12 קָרְא֖וּ They proclaimed qā·rə·’ū צ֑וֹם a fast ṣō·wm וְהֹשִׁ֥יבוּ and gave wə·hō·šî·ḇū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נָב֖וֹת Naboth nā·ḇō·wṯ בְּרֹ֥אשׁ a seat of honor bə·rōš הָעָֽם׃ among the people . hā·‘ām 1 Kings 21:13 שְׁנֵ֨י And the two šə·nê בְלִיַּעַל֮ scoundrels ḇə·lî·ya·‘al הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים . . . hā·’ă·nā·šîm בְּנֵֽי־ . . . bə·nê- וַ֠יָּבֹאוּ came in way·yā·ḇō·’ū וַיֵּשְׁב֣וּ and sat way·yê·šə·ḇū נֶגְדּוֹ֒ opposite [Naboth] , neḡ·dōw הַבְּלִיַּ֜עַל and [these men] hab·bə·lî·ya·‘al אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַנְשֵׁ֨י - ’an·šê וַיְעִדֻהוּ֩ testified way·‘i·ḏu·hū נָב֗וֹת against [him] nā·ḇō·wṯ נֶ֤גֶד before ne·ḡeḏ הָעָם֙ the people , hā·‘ām לֵאמֹ֔ר saying , lê·mōr נָב֛וֹת “ Naboth nā·ḇō·wṯ בֵּרַ֥ךְ has cursed bê·raḵ אֱלֹהִ֖ים [both] God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וָמֶ֑לֶךְ and the king ! ” wā·me·leḵ וַיֹּצִאֻ֙הוּ֙ So they took him way·yō·ṣi·’u·hū
