Genesis 34:28 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לָקָֽחוּ׃ They took lā·qā·ḥū צֹאנָ֥ם their flocks ṣō·nām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- בְּקָרָ֖ם herds bə·qā·rām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- חֲמֹרֵיהֶּ֑ם donkeys , ḥă·mō·rē·hɛm וְאֵ֧ת - wə·’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ and everything else ’ă·šer- בָּעִ֛יר in the city bā·‘îr וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה or in the field . baś·śā·ḏeh Genesis 34:29 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׁב֖וּ They carried off šā·ḇū כָּל־ all kāl- חֵילָ֤ם their possessions ḥê·lām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם women nə·šê·hem וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ - kāl- טַפָּם֙ children , ṭap·pām וַיָּבֹ֑זּוּ and they plundered way·yā·ḇōz·zū וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ everything kāl- אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בַּבָּֽיִת׃ in [their] houses . bab·bā·yiṯ Genesis 34:30 יַעֲקֹ֜ב Then Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- שִׁמְע֣וֹן Simeon šim·‘ō·wn וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- לֵוִי֮ and Levi , lê·wî עֲכַרְתֶּ֣ם “ You have brought trouble ‘ă·ḵar·tem אֹתִי֒ upon me ’ō·ṯî לְהַבְאִישֵׁ֙נִי֙ by making me a stench lə·haḇ·’î·šê·nî בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י to the Canaanites bak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וּבַפְּרִזִּ֑י and Perizzites , ū·ḇap·pə·riz·zî בְּיֹשֵׁ֣ב the people bə·yō·šêḇ הָאָ֔רֶץ of this land . hā·’ā·reṣ וַאֲנִי֙ We wa·’ă·nî מְתֵ֣י are few mə·ṯê מִסְפָּ֔ר in number ; mis·pār וְנֶאֶסְפ֤וּ if they unite wə·ne·’es·p̄ū עָלַי֙ against me ‘ā·lay וְהִכּ֔וּנִי and attack me , wə·hik·kū·nî אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî וּבֵיתִֽי׃ and my household ū·ḇê·ṯî וְנִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י will be destroyed . ” wə·niš·maḏ·tî Genesis 34:31 וַיֹּאמְר֑וּ But they replied , way·yō·mə·rū יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה “ Should he have treated ya·‘ă·śeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲחוֹתֵֽנוּ׃פ our sister ’ă·ḥō·w·ṯê·nū הַכְזוֹנָ֕ה like a prostitute ? ” haḵ·zō·w·nāh Genesis 35:1 אֱלֹהִים֙ Then God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶֽל־ to ’el- יַעֲקֹ֔ב Jacob , ya·‘ă·qōḇ ק֛וּם “ Arise , qūm עֲלֵ֥ה go up ‘ă·lêh בֵֽית־ to ḇêṯ- אֵ֖ל Bethel , ’êl וְשֶׁב־ and settle wə·šeḇ- שָׁ֑ם there . šām וַעֲשֵׂה־ Build wa·‘ă·śêh- מִזְבֵּ֔חַ an altar miz·bê·aḥ שָׁ֣ם there šām לָאֵל֙ to the God lā·’êl הַנִּרְאֶ֣ה who appeared han·nir·’eh אֵלֶ֔יךָ to ’ê·le·ḵā בְּבָרְחֲךָ֔ you when you fled bə·ḇå̄·rə·ḥă·ḵå̄ מִפְּנֵ֖י from mip·pə·nê אָחִֽיךָ׃ your brother ’ā·ḥî·ḵā עֵשָׂ֥ו Esau . ” ‘ê·śāw Genesis 35:2 יַעֲקֹב֙ So Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר told way·yō·mer אֶל־ . . . ’el- בֵּית֔וֹ his household bê·ṯōw וְאֶ֖ל . . . wə·’el כָּל־ and all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer עִמּ֑וֹ were with him , ‘im·mōw הָסִ֜רוּ “ Get rid of hā·si·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
