כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî יְהוָֽה׃ am YHWH . ’” Yah·weh 1 Kings 20:29 שִׁבְעַ֣ת For seven šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֑ים days yā·mîm וַֽיַּחֲנ֧וּ [the armies] camped way·ya·ḥă·nū אֵ֦לֶּה opposite each other ’êl·leh נֹ֥כַח . . . nō·ḵaḥ אֵ֖לֶּה . . . , ’êl·leh וַיְהִ֣י׀ and way·hî הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י on the seventh haš·šə·ḇî·‘î בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm הַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה the battle ham·mil·ḥā·māh וַתִּקְרַב֙ ensued , wat·tiq·raḇ בְנֵֽי־ and the Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּכּ֨וּ struck down way·yak·kū אֲרָ֛ם the Arameans — ’ă·rām מֵאָה־ a hundred mê·’āh- אֶ֥לֶף thousand ’e·lep̄ רַגְלִ֖י foot soldiers raḡ·lî אֶחָֽד׃ in one ’e·ḥāḏ בְּי֥וֹם day . bə·yō·wm 1 Kings 20:30 הַנּוֹתָרִ֥ים׀ The rest of them han·nō·w·ṯā·rîm וַיָּנֻ֨סוּ fled way·yā·nu·sū אֶל־ into ’el- הָעִיר֒ the city hā·‘îr אֲפֵקָה֮ of Aphek , ’ă·p̄ê·qāh הַחוֹמָ֔ה where the wall ha·ḥō·w·māh וַתִּפֹּל֙ fell wat·tip·pōl עַל־ on ‘al- עֶשְׂרִ֨ים twenty-seven ‘eś·rîm וְשִׁבְעָ֥ה . . . wə·šiḇ·‘āh אֶ֛לֶף thousand ’e·lep̄ הַנּוֹתָרִ֑ים of the remaining han·nō·w·ṯā·rîm אִ֖ישׁ men . ’îš וּבֶן־ vvv ū·ḇen- הֲדַ֣ד Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ נָ֔ס also fled nās הָעִ֖יר to the city hā·‘îr וַיָּבֹ֥א and hid way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ in ’el- חֶ֥דֶר an inner room ḥe·ḏer בְּחָֽדֶר׃ס . . . . bə·ḥā·ḏer 1 Kings 20:31 עֲבָדָיו֒ Then the servants of [Ben-hadad] ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ said way·yō·mə·rū אֵלָיו֮ to him , ’ê·lāw הִנֵּֽה־ “ Look hin·nêh- נָ֣א now , nā שָׁמַ֔עְנוּ we have heard šā·ma‘·nū כִּ֗י that kî מַלְכֵי֙ the kings mal·ḵê בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl כִּֽי־ . . . kî- חֶ֖סֶד are merciful ḥe·seḏ הֵ֑ם . . . hêm מַלְכֵ֥י - . mal·ḵê וְנֵצֵא֙ Let us go out wə·nê·ṣê אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl נָשִׂ֣ימָה [with] nā·śî·māh נָּא֩ . . . nā שַׂקִּ֨ים sackcloth śaq·qîm בְּמָתְנֵ֜ינוּ around our waists bə·mā·ṯə·nê·nū וַחֲבָלִ֣ים and ropes wa·ḥă·ḇā·lîm בְּרֹאשֵׁ֗נוּ around our heads . bə·rō·šê·nū אוּלַ֖י Perhaps ’ū·lay יְחַיֶּ֥ה he will spare yə·ḥay·yeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ your life . ” nap̄·še·ḵā 1 Kings 20:32 וַיַּחְגְּרוּ֩ So [with] way·yaḥ·gə·rū שַׂקִּ֨ים sackcloth śaq·qîm בְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֜ם around their waists bə·mā·ṯə·nê·hem וַחֲבָלִ֣ים and ropes wa·ḥă·ḇā·lîm בְּרָאשֵׁיהֶ֗ם around their heads , bə·rā·šê·hem וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ they went way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ and said , way·yō·mə·rū עַבְדְּךָ֧ “ Your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā בֶן־ vvv ḇen- הֲדַ֛ד Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ אָמַ֖ר says , ’ā·mar נָ֣א ‘ Please nā
