הַגָּד֖וֹל great hag·gā·ḏō·wl הֶהָמ֥וֹן army ? he·hā·mō·wn הִנְנִ֨י Behold , hin·nî נֹתְנ֤וֹ I will deliver it nō·ṯə·nōw בְיָֽדְךָ֙ into your hand ḇə·yā·ḏə·ḵā הַיּ֔וֹם this very day , hay·yō·wm וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ and you will know wə·yā·ḏa‘·tā כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî יְהוָֽה׃ am YHWH . ’” Yah·weh 1 Kings 20:14 בְּמִ֔י “ By whom ? ” bə·mî אַחְאָב֙ Ahab ’aḥ·’āḇ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר asked . way·yō·mer וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ And the prophet replied , way·yō·mer כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar בְּנַעֲרֵ֖י ‘ By the young officers bə·na·‘ă·rê הַמְּדִינ֑וֹת of the district ham·mə·ḏî·nō·wṯ שָׂרֵ֣י governors . ’” śā·rê מִֽי־ “ Who mî- יֶאְסֹ֥ר will start ye’·sōr הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה the battle ? ” ham·mil·ḥā·māh וַיֹּ֛אמֶר asked [Ahab] . way·yō·mer אָֽתָּה׃ “ You [will] , ” ’āt·tāh וַיֹּ֥אמֶר answered the prophet . way·yō·mer 1 Kings 20:15 וַיִּפְקֹ֗ד So Ahab assembled way·yip̄·qōḏ אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- נַעֲרֵי֙ the young officers na·‘ă·rê הַמְּדִינ֔וֹת of the district ham·mə·ḏî·nō·wṯ שָׂרֵ֣י governors , śā·rê וַיִּהְי֕וּ and there were way·yih·yū מָאתַ֖יִם 232 men mā·ṯa·yim שְׁנַ֣יִם . . . šə·na·yim וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֑ים . . . . ū·šə·lō·šîm וְאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם And after them , wə·’a·ḥă·rê·hem פָּקַ֧ד he assembled pā·qaḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ [the rest of] kāl- בְּנֵ֥י the Israelite bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl הָעָ֛ם troops , hā·‘ām שִׁבְעַ֥ת 7,000 {} šiḇ·‘aṯ אֲלָפִֽים׃ . . . ’ă·lā·p̄îm כָּל־ in all . kāl- 1 Kings 20:16 וַיֵּצְא֖וּ They marched out way·yê·ṣə·’ū בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם at noon baṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim וּבֶן־ vvv ū·ḇen- הֲדַד֩ while Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ שְׁלֹשִֽׁים־ and the 32 šə·lō·šîm- וּשְׁנַ֥יִם . . . ū·šə·na·yim מֶ֖לֶךְ . . . me·leḵ וְהַמְּלָכִ֛ים kings wə·ham·mə·lā·ḵîm עֹזֵ֥ר allied ‘ō·zêr אֹתֽוֹ׃ with him ’ō·ṯōw בַּסֻּכּ֗וֹת were in their tents bas·suk·kō·wṯ ה֧וּא . . . hū שֹׁתֶ֨ה getting šō·ṯeh שִׁכּ֜וֹר drunk . šik·kō·wr 1 Kings 20:17 נַעֲרֵ֛י And the young officers na·‘ă·rê הַמְּדִינ֖וֹת of the district ham·mə·ḏî·nō·wṯ שָׂרֵ֥י governors śā·rê וַיֵּצְא֗וּ marched out first way·yê·ṣə·’ū בָּרִֽאשֹׁנָ֑ה . . . . bā·ri·šō·nāh הֲדַ֗ד Now Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח had sent out scouts way·yiš·laḥ בֶּן־ , ben- וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ who reported way·yag·gî·ḏū לוֹ֙ to him lōw לֵאמֹ֔ר , lê·mōr אֲנָשִׁ֕ים “ Men ’ă·nā·šîm יָצְא֖וּ are marching out yā·ṣə·’ū מִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃ of Samaria . ” miš·šō·mə·rō·wn 1 Kings 20:18 אִם־ “ If ’im- יָצָ֖אוּ they have marched out yā·ṣā·’ū לְשָׁל֥וֹם in peace , ” lə·šā·lō·wm וַיֹּ֛אמֶר he said , way·yō·mer תִּפְשׂ֣וּם “ take them tip̄·śūm חַיִּ֑ים alive . ḥay·yîm וְאִ֧ם Even if wə·’im יָצָ֖אוּ they have marched out yā·ṣā·’ū לְמִלְחָמָ֛ה for war , lə·mil·ḥā·māh תִּפְשֽׂוּם׃ take them tip̄·śūm חַיִּ֥ים alive . ” ḥay·yîm
