וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ and threw way·yaš·lêḵ אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ his cloak ’ad·dar·tōw אֵלָֽיו׃ around him . ’ê·lāw 1 Kings 19:20 וַיַּעֲזֹ֣ב So Elisha left way·ya·‘ă·zōḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבָּקָ֗ר the oxen , hab·bā·qār וַיָּ֙רָץ֙ ran way·yā·rāṣ אַחֲרֵ֣י after ’a·ḥă·rê אֵֽלִיָּ֔הוּ Elijah , ’ê·lî·yā·hū וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer נָּא֙ “ Please nā אֶשְּׁקָה־ let me kiss ’eš·šə·qāh- לְאָבִ֣י my father lə·’ā·ḇî וּלְאִמִּ֔י and mother [goodbye] , ū·lə·’im·mî וְאֵלְכָ֖ה and then I will follow wə·’ê·lə·ḵāh אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ you . ” ’a·ḥă·re·ḵā לֵ֣ךְ “ Go on lêḵ שׁ֔וּב back , ” šūḇ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר [Elijah] replied way·yō·mer לוֹ֙ , lōw כִּ֥י “ for kî מֶה־ what meh- עָשִׂ֖יתִי have I done ‘ā·śî·ṯî לָֽךְ׃ to you ? ” lāḵ 1 Kings 19:21 וַיָּ֨שָׁב So [Elisha] turned back way·yā·šāḇ מֵאַחֲרָ֜יו from him , mê·’a·ḥă·rāw וַיִּקַּ֣ח took way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צֶ֧מֶד his pair ṣe·meḏ הַבָּקָ֣ר of oxen , hab·bā·qār וַיִּזְבָּחֵ֗הוּ and slaughtered them . way·yiz·bā·ḥê·hū הַבָּקָר֙ With the oxen’s hab·bā·qār וּבִכְלִ֤י equipment , ū·ḇiḵ·lî בִּשְּׁלָ֣ם he cooked biš·šə·lām הַבָּשָׂ֔ר the meat hab·bā·śār וַיִּתֵּ֥ן and gave way·yit·tên לָעָ֖ם it to the people , lā·‘ām וַיֹּאכֵ֑לוּ and they ate . way·yō·ḵê·lū וַיָּ֗קָם Then he set out way·yā·qām וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ to follow way·yê·leḵ אַחֲרֵ֥י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê וַיְשָׁרְתֵֽהוּ׃פ and serve way·šā·rə·ṯê·hū אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ Elijah . ’ê·lî·yā·hū 1 Kings 20:1 וּבֶן־ vvv ū·ḇen- הֲדַ֣ד Now Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- אֲרָ֗ם of Aram ’ă·rām קָבַץ֙ assembled qā·ḇaṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ his entire kāl- חֵיל֔וֹ army . ḥê·lōw אִתּ֖וֹ Accompanied by ’it·tōw וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֨ים thirty-two ū·šə·lō·šîm וּשְׁנַ֥יִם . . . ū·šə·na·yim מֶ֛לֶךְ kings me·leḵ וְס֣וּס with their horses wə·sūs וָרָ֑כֶב and chariots , wā·rā·ḵeḇ וַיַּ֗עַל he marched up , way·ya·‘al וַיָּ֙צַר֙ besieged way·yā·ṣar עַל־ . . . ‘al- שֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן Samaria , šō·mə·rō·wn וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם and waged war way·yil·lā·ḥem בָּֽהּ׃ against it . bāh 1 Kings 20:2 וַיִּשְׁלַ֧ח Then he sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֛ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm הָעִֽירָה׃ into the city hā·‘î·rāh אֶל־ to ’el- אַחְאָ֥ב Ahab ’aḥ·’āḇ מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl 1 Kings 20:3 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר saying way·yō·mer ל֗וֹ , lōw כֹּ֚ה “ This is what kōh בֶּן־ vvv ben- הֲדַ֔ד Ben-hadad hă·ḏaḏ אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar כַּסְפְּךָ֥ ‘ Your silver kas·pə·ḵā וּֽזְהָבְךָ֖ and gold ū·zə·hā·ḇə·ḵā ה֑וּא are hū לִֽי־ mine , lî- הַטּוֹבִ֖ים and your best haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇîm וְנָשֶׁ֧יךָ wives wə·nā·še·ḵā וּבָנֶ֛יךָ and children ū·ḇā·ne·ḵā הֵֽם׃ are hêm לִי־ mine ! ’” lî-
