בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ Your covenant , ḇə·rî·ṯə·ḵā הָרָ֔סוּ torn down hā·rā·sū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ Your altars , miz·bə·ḥō·ṯe·ḵā הָרְג֣וּ and killed hā·rə·ḡū נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ Your prophets nə·ḇî·’e·ḵā בֶחָ֑רֶב with the sword . ḇe·ḥā·reḇ אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî לְבַדִּ֔י am the only one lə·ḇad·dî וָֽאִוָּתֵ֤ר left , wā·’iw·wā·ṯêr וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ and they are seeking way·ḇaq·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃ - lə·qaḥ·tāh נַפְשִׁ֖י my life {as well} . ” nap̄·šî 1 Kings 19:11 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר Then [YHWH] said , way·yō·mer צֵ֣א “ Go out ṣê וְעָמַדְתָּ֣ and stand wə·‘ā·maḏ·tā בָהָר֮ on the mountain ḇā·hār לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָה֒ YHWH . Yah·weh וְהִנֵּ֧ה Behold , wə·hin·nêh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh עֹבֵ֗ר is about to pass by . ” ‘ō·ḇêr גְּדוֹלָ֡ה And a great gə·ḏō·w·lāh וְחָזָ֞ק and mighty wə·ḥā·zāq וְר֣וּחַ wind wə·rū·aḥ מְפָרֵק֩ tore into mə·p̄ā·rêq הָרִ֨ים the mountains hā·rîm וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר and shattered ū·mə·šab·bêr סְלָעִים֙ the rocks sə·lā·‘îm לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh יְהוָ֑ה but YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א was not lō בָר֖וּחַ in the wind . ḇā·rū·aḥ וְאַחַ֤ר After wə·’a·ḥar הָר֨וּחַ the wind hå̄·rū·aḥ רַ֔עַשׁ there was an earthquake , ra·‘aš יְהוָֽה׃ but YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א was not lō בָרַ֖עַשׁ in the earthquake . ḇā·ra·‘aš 1 Kings 19:12 וְאַחַ֤ר After wə·’a·ḥar הָרַ֙עַשׁ֙ the earthquake hā·ra·‘aš בָאֵ֖שׁ there was a fire , ḇā·’êš יְהוָ֑ה but YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א was not lō אֵ֔שׁ in the fire . ’êš וְאַחַ֣ר And after wə·’a·ḥar הָאֵ֔שׁ the fire hā·’êš דְּמָמָ֥ה came a still , də·mā·māh דַקָּֽה׃ small ḏaq·qāh ק֖וֹל voice . qō·wl 1 Kings 19:13 וַיְהִ֣י׀ - way·hî אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ When Elijah ’ê·lî·yā·hū כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ heard it , kiš·mō·a‘ וַיָּ֤לֶט he wrapped way·yā·leṭ פָּנָיו֙ his face pā·nāw בְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹ in his cloak bə·’ad·dar·tōw וַיֵּצֵ֕א and went out way·yê·ṣê וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד and stood way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ פֶּ֣תַח at the mouth pe·ṯaḥ הַמְּעָרָ֑ה of the cave . ham·mə·‘ā·rāh וְהִנֵּ֤ה Suddenly wə·hin·nêh ק֔וֹל a voice [came] qō·wl אֵלָיו֙ to him ’ê·lāw וַיֹּ֕אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer מַה־ “ What mah- לְּךָ֥ are you doing lə·ḵā פֹ֖ה here , p̄ōh אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃ Elijah ? ” ’ê·lî·yā·hū 1 Kings 19:14 קַנֹּ֨א “ I have been very zealous qan·nō קִנֵּ֜אתִי . . . qin·nê·ṯî לַיהוָ֣ה׀ for YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê צְבָא֗וֹת of Hosts , ” ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וַיֹּאמֶר֩ he replied , way·yō·mer כִּֽי־ “ but kî- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עָזְב֤וּ have forsaken ‘ā·zə·ḇū בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ Your covenant , ḇə·rî·ṯə·ḵā הָרָ֔סוּ torn down hā·rā·sū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ Your altars , miz·bə·ḥō·ṯe·ḵā הָרְג֣וּ and killed hā·rə·ḡū נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ Your prophets nə·ḇî·’e·ḵā בֶחָ֑רֶב with the sword . ḇe·ḥā·reḇ
