אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî לְבַדִּ֔י am the only one lə·ḇad·dî וָאִוָּתֵ֤ר left , wā·’iw·wā·ṯêr וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ and they are seeking way·ḇaq·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃ס - lə·qaḥ·tāh נַפְשִׁ֖י my life {as well} . ” nap̄·šî 1 Kings 19:15 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֵלָ֔יו to him , ’ê·lāw לֵ֛ךְ “ Go lêḵ שׁ֥וּב back šūḇ לְדַרְכְּךָ֖ by the way you came , lə·ḏar·kə·ḵā מִדְבַּ֣רָה [and go] to the Desert miḏ·ba·rāh דַמָּ֑שֶׂק of Damascus . ḏam·må̄·śɛq וּבָ֗אתָ When you arrive , ū·ḇā·ṯā וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧ you are to anoint ū·mā·šaḥ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חֲזָאֵ֛ל Hazael ḥă·zā·’êl לְמֶ֖לֶךְ as king lə·me·leḵ עַל־ over ‘al- אֲרָֽם׃ Aram . ’ă·rām 1 Kings 19:16 וְאֵת֙ vvv wə·’êṯ תִּמְשַׁ֥ח You are also to anoint tim·šaḥ יֵה֣וּא Jehu yê·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- נִמְשִׁ֔י of Nimshi nim·šî לְמֶ֖לֶךְ as king lə·me·leḵ עַל־ over ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֱלִישָׁ֤ע and Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ בֶּן־ son ben- שָׁפָט֙ of Shaphat šā·p̄āṭ מֵאָבֵ֣ל vvv mê·’ā·ḇêl מְחוֹלָ֔ה from Abel-meholah mə·ḥō·w·lāh תִּמְשַׁ֥ח . . . tim·šaḥ תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃ to succeed you taḥ·te·ḵā לְנָבִ֖יא as prophet . lə·nā·ḇî 1 Kings 19:17 וְהָיָ֗ה Then wə·hā·yāh יֵה֑וּא Jehu yê·hū יָמִ֣ית will put to death yā·mîṯ הַנִּמְלָ֛ט whoever escapes han·nim·lāṭ מֵחֶ֥רֶב the sword mê·ḥe·reḇ חֲזָאֵ֖ל of Hazael , ḥă·zā·’êl אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ and Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ יָמִ֥ית will put to death yā·mîṯ וְהַנִּמְלָ֛ט whoever escapes wə·han·nim·lāṭ מֵחֶ֥רֶב the sword mê·ḥe·reḇ יֵה֖וּא of Jehu . yê·hū 1 Kings 19:18 וְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥י Nevertheless, I have reserved wə·hiš·’ar·tî שִׁבְעַ֣ת seven šiḇ·‘aṯ אֲלָפִ֑ים thousand ’ă·lā·p̄îm בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל in Israel — ḇə·yiś·rā·’êl כָּל־ all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֤ר whose ’ă·šer הַבִּרְכַּ֗יִם knees hab·bir·ka·yim לֹֽא־ have not lō- כָֽרְעוּ֙ bowed ḵā·rə·‘ū לַבַּ֔עַל to Baal lab·ba·‘al וְכָ֨ל־ and [whose] wə·ḵāl הַפֶּ֔ה mouths hap·peh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ have not lō- נָשַׁ֖ק kissed nā·šaq לֽוֹ׃ him . ” lōw 1 Kings 19:19 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ So Elijah departed way·yê·leḵ מִ֠שָּׁם . . . miš·šām וַיִּמְצָ֞א and found way·yim·ṣā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלִישָׁ֤ע Elisha ’ĕ·lî·šā‘ בֶּן־ son ben- שָׁפָט֙ of Shaphat . šā·p̄āṭ וְה֣וּא He wə·hū חֹרֵ֔שׁ was plowing ḥō·rêš שְׁנֵים־ with twelve šə·nêm- עָשָׂ֤ר . . . ‘ā·śār צְמָדִים֙ teams ṣə·mā·ḏîm לְפָנָ֔יו [of oxen] , lə·p̄ā·nāw וְה֖וּא and he wə·hū בִּשְׁנֵ֣ים was with the twelfth [team] biš·nêm הֶעָשָׂ֑ר . . . . he·‘ā·śār אֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙ Elijah ’ê·lî·yā·hū וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר passed way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr אֵלָ֔יו by him ’ê·lāw
