עַ֛ד until ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer לֹא־ no lō- נְשָׁמָֽה׃ breath nə·šā·māh נֽוֹתְרָה־ remained nō·wṯ·rāh- בּ֖וֹ in him . bōw 1 Kings 17:18 אִ֣ישׁ “ O man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God , ” hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ said [the woman] wat·tō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ Elijah , ’ê·lî·yā·hū מַה־ “ what mah- וָלָ֖ךְ have you done wā·lāḵ לִּ֥י to me ? lî בָּ֧אתָ Have you come bā·ṯā אֵלַ֛י . . . ’ê·lay לְהַזְכִּ֥יר to remind me lə·haz·kîr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲוֺנִ֖י of my iniquity ‘ă·wō·nî וּלְהָמִ֥ית and cause the death ū·lə·hā·mîṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנִֽי׃ of my son ? ” bə·nî 1 Kings 17:19 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר But Elijah said way·yō·mer אֵלֶ֖יהָ to her , ’ê·le·hā תְּנִֽי־ “ Give tə·nî- לִ֣י me lî אֶת־ ’eṯ- בְּנֵ֑ךְ your son . ” bə·nêḵ וַיִּקָּחֵ֣הוּ So he took him way·yiq·qā·ḥê·hū מֵחֵיקָ֗הּ from her arms , mê·ḥê·qāh וַֽיַּעֲלֵ֙הוּ֙ carried him way·ya·‘ă·lê·hū אֶל־ to ’el- הָעֲלִיָּ֗ה the upper room hā·‘ă·lî·yāh אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- הוּא֙ he hū יֹשֵׁ֣ב was staying , yō·šêḇ שָׁ֔ם . . . šām וַיַּשְׁכִּבֵ֖הוּ and laid him way·yaš·ki·ḇê·hū עַל־ on ‘al- מִטָּתֽוֹ׃ his own bed . miṭ·ṭā·ṯōw 1 Kings 17:20 וַיִּקְרָ֥א Then he cried out way·yiq·rā אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמַ֑ר , way·yō·mar יְהוָ֣ה “ O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֔י my God , ’ĕ·lō·hāy הֲ֠גַם have You also hă·ḡam הֲרֵע֖וֹתָ brought tragedy hă·rê·‘ō·w·ṯā עַל־ on ‘al- הָאַלְמָנָ֞ה this widow hā·’al·mā·nāh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אֲנִ֨י vvv ’ă·nî מִתְגּוֹרֵ֥ר who has opened her home to me miṯ·gō·w·rêr עִמָּ֛הּ . . . , ‘im·māh לְהָמִ֥ית by causing lə·hā·mîṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנָֽהּ׃ her son {to die} ? ” bə·nāh 1 Kings 17:21 וַיִּתְמֹדֵ֤ד Then he stretched himself out way·yiṯ·mō·ḏêḏ עַל־ over ‘al- הַיֶּ֙לֶד֙ the child hay·ye·leḏ שָׁלֹ֣שׁ three šā·lōš פְּעָמִ֔ים times pə·‘ā·mîm וַיִּקְרָ֥א and cried out way·yiq·rā אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמַ֑ר - , way·yō·mar יְהוָ֣ה “ O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֔י my God , ’ĕ·lō·hāy נָ֛א please nā הַזֶּ֖ה let this haz·zeh הַיֶּ֥לֶד boy’s hay·ye·leḏ נֶֽפֶשׁ־ life ne·p̄eš- תָּ֥שָׁב return tā·šāḇ עַל־ to ‘al- קִרְבּֽוֹ׃ him ! ” qir·bōw 1 Kings 17:22 יְהוָ֖ה And YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע listened way·yiš·ma‘ בְּק֣וֹל to the voice bə·qō·wl אֵלִיָּ֑הוּ of Elijah , ’ê·lî·yā·hū הַיֶּ֛לֶד and the child’s hay·ye·leḏ נֶֽפֶשׁ־ life ne·p̄eš- וַתָּ֧שָׁב returned wat·tā·šāḇ עַל־ to ‘al- קִרְבּ֖וֹ him , qir·bōw וַיֶּֽחִי׃ and he lived . way·ye·ḥî
