סֵ֛פֶר the Book sê·p̄er דִּבְרֵ֥י of the Chronicles diḇ·rê הַיָּמִ֖ים . . . hay·yā·mîm לְמַלְכֵ֥י of the Kings lə·mal·ḵê יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah ? yə·hū·ḏāh 1 Kings 14:30 הָיְתָ֧ה There was hā·yə·ṯāh וּמִלְחָמָ֨ה war ū·mil·ḥā·māh בֵין־ between ḇên- רְחַבְעָ֛ם Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וּבֵ֥ין . . . ū·ḇên יָרָבְעָ֖ם and Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām כָּל־ throughout kāl- הַיָּמִֽים׃ [their] days . hay·yā·mîm 1 Kings 14:31 רְחַבְעָ֜ם And Rehoboam rə·ḥaḇ·‘ām וַיִּשְׁכַּ֨ב rested way·yiš·kaḇ עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָ֗יו his fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וַיִּקָּבֵ֤ר and was buried way·yiq·qā·ḇêr עִם־ with ‘im- אֲבֹתָיו֙ [them] ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw בְּעִ֣יר in the City bə·‘îr דָּוִ֔ד of David ; dā·wiḏ אִמּ֔וֹ his mother’s ’im·mōw וְשֵׁ֣ם name wə·šêm נַעֲמָ֖ה was Naamah na·‘ă·māh הָעַמֹּנִ֑ית the Ammonite . hā·‘am·mō·nîṯ בְּנ֖וֹ And his son bə·nōw אֲבִיָּ֥ם Abijam ’ă·ḇî·yām וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ reigned way·yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃פ in his place . taḥ·tāw 1 Kings 15:1 שְׁמֹנֶ֣ה In the eighteenth šə·mō·neh עֶשְׂרֵ֔ה . . . ‘eś·rêh וּבִשְׁנַת֙ year ū·ḇiš·naṯ לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ of the reign lam·me·leḵ יָרָבְעָ֣ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּן־ son ben- נְבָ֑ט of Nebat , nə·ḇāṭ אֲבִיָּ֖ם Abijam ’ă·ḇî·yām מָלַ֥ךְ became king mā·laḵ עַל־ of ‘al- יְהוּדָֽה׃ Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh 1 Kings 15:2 מָלַ֖ךְ and he reigned mā·laḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim שָׁלֹ֣שׁ three šā·lōš שָׁנִ֔ים years . šā·nîm אִמּ֔וֹ His mother’s ’im·mōw וְשֵׁ֣ם name wə·šêm מַעֲכָ֖ה was Maacah ma·‘ă·ḵāh בַּת־ daughter baṯ- אֲבִישָׁלֽוֹם׃ of Abishalom . ’ă·ḇî·šā·lō·wm 1 Kings 15:3 וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ And Abijam walked way·yê·leḵ בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl חַטֹּ֥אות the sins ḥaṭ·ṭō·wṯ אָבִ֖יו that his father ’ā·ḇîw אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- לְפָנָ֑יו before him lə·p̄ā·nāw עָשָׂ֣ה had committed , ‘ā·śāh לְבָב֤וֹ and his heart lə·ḇā·ḇōw הָיָ֨ה was hā·yāh וְלֹא־ not wə·lō- שָׁלֵם֙ as fully devoted šā·lêm עִם־ to ‘im- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֔יו his God ’ĕ·lō·hāw כִּלְבַ֖ב as the heart kil·ḇaḇ דָּוִ֥ד of David dā·wiḏ אָבִֽיו׃ his forefather [had been] . ’ā·ḇîw 1 Kings 15:4 כִּ֚י Nevertheless , kî לְמַ֣עַן for the sake lə·ma·‘an דָּוִ֔ד of David , dā·wiḏ יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֥יו his God ’ĕ·lō·hāw נָתַן֩ gave nā·ṯan ל֛וֹ him lōw נִ֖יר a lamp nîr בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim לְהָקִ֤ים by raising up lə·hā·qîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנוֹ֙ a son bə·nōw אַחֲרָ֔יו to succeed him ’a·ḥă·rāw וּֽלְהַעֲמִ֖יד and to make ū·lə·ha·‘ă·mîḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
