1 Kings 14:5 וַיהוָ֞ה But YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר had said ’ā·mar אֶל־ to ’el- אֲחִיָּ֗הוּ Ahijah , ’ă·ḥî·yā·hū הִנֵּ֣ה “ Behold , hin·nêh אֵ֣שֶׁת the wife ’ê·šeṯ יָרָבְעָ֡ם of Jeroboam yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām בָּאָ֣ה is coming bā·’āh לִדְרֹשׁ֩ to ask liḏ·rōš דָּבָ֨ר . . . dā·ḇār מֵעִמְּךָ֤ you mê·‘im·mə·ḵā אֶל־ about ’el- בְּנָהּ֙ her son , bə·nāh כִּֽי־ for kî- ה֔וּא he hū חֹלֶ֣ה is ill . ḥō·leh תְּדַבֵּ֣ר You are to say tə·ḏab·bêr כָּזֹ֥ה such kā·zōh וְכָזֶ֖ה and such wə·ḵā·zeh אֵלֶ֑יהָ to her , ’ê·le·hā וִיהִ֣י because wî·hî כְבֹאָ֔הּ when she arrives , ḵə·ḇō·’āh וְהִ֖יא she wə·hî מִתְנַכֵּרָֽה׃ will be disguised . ” miṯ·nak·kê·rāh 1 Kings 14:6 וַיְהִי֩ So way·hî אֲחִיָּ֜הוּ when Ahijah ’ă·ḥî·yā·hū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ heard ḵiš·mō·a‘ ק֤וֹל the sound qō·wl רַגְלֶ֙יהָ֙ of her feet raḡ·le·hā בָּאָ֣ה entering bā·’āh בַפֶּ֔תַח the door , ḇap·pe·ṯaḥ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he said , way·yō·mer בֹּ֖אִי “ Come in , bō·’î אֵ֣שֶׁת wife ’ê·šeṯ יָרָבְעָ֑ם of Jeroboam ! yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām לָ֣מָּה Why lām·māh זֶּ֗ה . . . zeh אַ֚תְּ are you ’at מִתְנַכֵּרָ֔ה disguised ? miṯ·nak·kê·rāh וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י For I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî שָׁל֥וּחַ [have been] sent šā·lū·aḥ אֵלַ֖יִךְ to you ’ê·la·yiḵ קָשָֽׁה׃ [with] bad [news] . qā·šāh 1 Kings 14:7 לְכִ֞י Go , lə·ḵî אִמְרִ֣י tell ’im·rî לְיָרָבְעָ֗ם Jeroboam lə·yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām כֹּֽה־ that this is what kōh- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֤ר says : ’ā·mar יַ֛עַן . . . ya·‘an אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הֲרִימֹתִ֖יךָ ‘ I raised you up hă·rî·mō·ṯî·ḵā מִתּ֣וֹךְ from among mit·tō·wḵ הָעָ֑ם the people hā·‘ām וָאֶתֶּנְךָ֣ and appointed you wā·’et·ten·ḵā נָגִ֔יד ruler nā·ḡîḏ עַ֖ל over ‘al עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 1 Kings 14:8 הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ I tore the kingdom ham·mam·lā·ḵāh וָאֶקְרַ֤ע away wā·’eq·ra‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִבֵּ֣ית from the house mib·bêṯ דָּוִ֔ד of David dā·wiḏ וָאֶתְּנֶ֖הָ and gave it wā·’et·tə·ne·hā לָ֑ךְ to you . lāḵ הָיִ֜יתָ But you were hā·yî·ṯā וְלֹֽא־ not wə·lō- כְּעַבְדִּ֣י like My servant kə·‘aḇ·dî דָוִ֗ד David , ḏā·wiḏ אֲשֶׁר֩ who ’ă·šer שָׁמַ֨ר kept šā·mar מִצְוֺתַ֜י My commandments miṣ·wō·ṯay וַאֲשֶׁר־ and wa·’ă·šer- הָלַ֤ךְ followed Me hā·laḵ אַחֲרַי֙ . . . ’a·ḥă·ray בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl לְבָב֔וֹ his heart , lə·ḇā·ḇōw לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת doing la·‘ă·śō·wṯ רַ֖ק only raq הַיָּשָׁ֥ר [what was] right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינָֽי׃ in My eyes . bə·‘ê·nāy
