בְּבֵֽית־ in bə·ḇêṯ- אֵ֔ל Bethel , ’êl כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ heard ḵiš·mō·a‘ דְּבַ֣ר the word də·ḇar אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer אִישׁ־ the man ’îš- הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm קָרָ֤א had cried out qā·rā עַל־ against ‘al- הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ [it] , ham·miz·bê·aḥ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח he stretched out way·yiš·laḥ יָד֛וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw לֵאמֹ֣ר׀ and said , lê·mōr תִּפְשֻׂ֑הוּ “ Seize him ! ” tip̄·śu·hū יָדוֹ֙ But the hand yā·ḏōw שָׁלַ֣ח he stretched out šā·laḥ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָלָ֔יו toward him ‘ā·lāw וַתִּיבַ֤שׁ withered , wat·tî·ḇaš יָכֹ֖ל so that he could yā·ḵōl וְלֹ֥א not wə·lō לַהֲשִׁיבָ֥הּ pull it back la·hă·šî·ḇāh אֵלָֽיו׃ . . . . ’ê·lāw 1 Kings 13:5 וְהַמִּזְבֵּ֣חַ And the altar wə·ham·miz·bê·aḥ נִקְרָ֔ע was split apart , niq·rā‘ הַדֶּ֖שֶׁן and the ashes had·de·šen וַיִּשָּׁפֵ֥ךְ poured out way·yiš·šā·p̄êḵ מִן־ - min- הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ - , ham·miz·bê·aḥ כַּמּוֹפֵ֗ת according to the sign kam·mō·w·p̄êṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אִ֥ישׁ the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm נָתַ֛ן had given nā·ṯan בִּדְבַ֥ר by the word biḏ·ḇar יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh 1 Kings 13:6 הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ Then the king ham·me·leḵ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ . . . way·yō·mer וַיַּ֨עַן responded way·ya·‘an אֶל־ to ’el- אִ֣ישׁ the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים of God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm חַל־ “ Intercede ḥal- נָ֞א . . . nā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פְּנֵ֨י with pə·nê יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā וְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל and pray wə·hiṯ·pal·lêl בַּעֲדִ֔י that my ba·‘ă·ḏî יָדִ֖י hand yā·ḏî וְתָשֹׁ֥ב may be restored wə·ṯā·šōḇ אֵלָ֑י - . ” ’ê·lāy אִישׁ־ So the man ’îš- הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְחַ֤ל interceded way·ḥal פְּנֵ֣י with pə·nê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ and the king’s ham·me·leḵ יַד־ hand yaḏ- וַתָּ֤שָׁב was restored wat·tā·šāḇ אֵלָ֔יו to him ’ê·lāw וַתְּהִ֖י as [it was] wat·tə·hî כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה׃ before . kə·ḇā·ri·šō·nāh 1 Kings 13:7 הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ Then the king ham·me·leḵ וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- אִ֣ישׁ the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים of God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm בֹּאָה־ “ Come bō·’āh- הַבַּ֖יְתָה home hab·bay·ṯāh אִתִּ֥י with me ’it·tî וּֽסְעָ֑דָה and refresh yourself , ū·sə·‘ā·ḏāh וְאֶתְּנָ֥ה and I will give wə·’et·tə·nāh לְךָ֖ you lə·ḵā מַתָּֽת׃ a reward . ” mat·tāṯ 1 Kings 13:8 אִישׁ־ But the man ’îš- הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ . . . ham·me·leḵ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied , way·yō·mer אִם־ “ If ’im- תִּתֶּן־ you were to give tit·ten- לִי֙ me lî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חֲצִ֣י half ḥă·ṣî בֵיתֶ֔ךָ your possessions , ḇê·ṯe·ḵā
