הַיְלָדִ֔ים and children , hay·lā·ḏîm וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he asked , way·yō·mer מִי־ “ Who mî- אֵ֣לֶּה are these ’êl·leh לָּ֑ךְ with you ? ” lāḵ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר [Jacob] answered , way·yō·mar הַיְלָדִ֕ים “ [These are] the children hay·lā·ḏîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חָנַ֥ן has graciously given ḥā·nan עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ your servant . ” ‘aḇ·de·ḵā Genesis 33:6 הַשְּׁפָח֛וֹת Then the maidservants haš·šə·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ הֵ֥נָּה and their hên·nāh וְיַלְדֵיהֶ֖ן children wə·yal·ḏê·hen וַתִּגַּ֧שְׁןָ approached wat·tig·gaš·nā וַתִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶֽיןָ׃ and bowed down . wat·tiš·ta·ḥă·we·nā Genesis 33:7 לֵאָ֛ה Leah lê·’āh וִילָדֶ֖יהָ and her children wî·lā·ḏe·hā גַּם־ also gam- וַתִּגַּ֧שׁ approached wat·tig·gaš וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֑וּ and bowed down , way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū וְאַחַ֗ר and then wə·’a·ḥar יוֹסֵ֛ף Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וְרָחֵ֖ל and Rachel wə·rā·ḥêl נִגַּ֥שׁ approached nig·gaš וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃ and bowed down . way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū Genesis 33:8 מִ֥י “ What mî לְךָ֛ do you mean lə·ḵā הַזֶּ֖ה by sending this haz·zeh אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer כָּל־ whole kāl- הַמַּחֲנֶ֥ה company ham·ma·ḥă·neh פָּגָ֑שְׁתִּי to meet me ? ” pā·ḡā·šə·tî וַיֹּ֕אמֶר asked Esau . way·yō·mer לִמְצֹא־ “ To find lim·ṣō- חֵ֖ן favor ḥên בְּעֵינֵ֥י in your sight , bə·‘ê·nê אֲדֹנִֽי׃ my lord , ” ’ă·ḏō·nî וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [Jacob] answered . way·yō·mer Genesis 33:9 יֶשׁ־ “ I already have yeš- לִ֣י lî רָ֑ב plenty , rāḇ אָחִ֕י my brother , ” ’ā·ḥî עֵשָׂ֖ו Esau ‘ê·śāw וַיֹּ֥אמֶר replied . way·yō·mer יְהִ֥י “ Keep yə·hî לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ what belongs ’ă·šer- לָֽךְ׃ to you . ” lāḵ Genesis 33:10 יַעֲקֹ֗ב But Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר insisted , way·yō·mer אַל־ “ No , ’al- נָא֙ please ! nā אִם־ If ’im- נָ֨א . . . nā מָצָ֤אתִי I have found mā·ṣā·ṯî חֵן֙ favor ḥên בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ in your sight , bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā וְלָקַחְתָּ֥ then receive wə·lā·qaḥ·tā מִנְחָתִ֖י this gift min·ḥā·ṯî מִיָּדִ֑י from my hand . mî·yā·ḏî עַל־ For ‘al- כֵּ֞ן . . . kên כִּ֣י indeed , kî רָאִ֣יתִי I have seen rā·’î·ṯî פָנֶ֗יךָ your face , p̄ā·ne·ḵā כִּרְאֹ֛ת and it is like seeing kir·’ōṯ פְּנֵ֥י the face pə·nê אֱלֹהִ֖ים of God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַתִּרְצֵֽנִי׃ since you have received me favorably . wat·tir·ṣê·nî Genesis 33:11 נָ֤א Please nā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- קַח־ accept qaḥ- בִּרְכָתִי֙ my gift bir·ḵā·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer הֻבָ֣את was brought hu·ḇāṯ לָ֔ךְ to you , lāḵ כִּֽי־ because kî- אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וְכִ֣י . . . wə·ḵî חַנַּ֥נִי has been gracious ḥan·na·nî
