וְנֶ֖פֶשׁ . . . wə·ne·p̄eš פִּלַגְשֶֽׁיךָ׃ and of your concubines . pi·laḡ·še·ḵā 2 Samuel 19:6 לְאַֽהֲבָה֙ You love lə·’a·hă·ḇāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שֹׂ֣נְאֶ֔יךָ those who hate you śō·nə·’e·ḵā וְלִשְׂנֹ֖א and hate wə·liś·nō אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֹהֲבֶ֑יךָ those who love you ! ’ō·hă·ḇe·ḵā הִגַּ֣דְתָּ For you have made it clear hig·gaḏ·tā הַיּ֗וֹם today hay·yō·wm כִּ֣י׀ that kî כִּ֣י - kî שָׂרִ֣ים the commanders śā·rîm וַעֲבָדִ֔ים and soldiers wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm אֵ֤ין mean nothing ’ên לְךָ֙ to you . lə·ḵā יָדַ֣עְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî הַיּ֗וֹם today hay·yō·wm כִּ֠י . . . kî כִּ֣י׀ that kî לֹא if lō אַבְשָׁל֥וֹם Absalom ’aḇ·šā·lō·wm חַי֙ were alive ḥay וְכֻלָּ֤נוּ and all wə·ḵul·lā·nū הַיּוֹם֙ . . . hay·yō·wm מֵתִ֔ים of us were dead , mê·ṯîm כִּי־ . . . kî- אָ֖ז . . . ’āz יָשָׁ֥ר it would have pleased you yā·šār בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ . . . ! bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā 2 Samuel 19:7 וְעַתָּה֙ Now therefore wə·‘at·tāh ק֣וּם get up ! qūm צֵ֔א Go out ṣê וְדַבֵּ֖ר and speak wə·ḏab·bêr עַל־ . . . ‘al- לֵ֣ב comfort to lêḇ עֲבָדֶ֑יךָ your servants , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā כִּי֩ for kî נִשְׁבַּ֜עְתִּי I swear niš·ba‘·tî בַיהוָ֨ה by YHWH Yah·weh כִּי־ that if kî- אֵינְךָ֣ you do not ’ê·nə·ḵā יוֹצֵ֗א go out , yō·w·ṣê אִם־ not ’im- אִ֤ישׁ a man ’îš יָלִ֨ין will remain yā·lîn אִתְּךָ֙ with you ’it·tə·ḵā הַלַּ֔יְלָה tonight . hal·lay·lāh זֹ֗את This zōṯ וְרָעָ֧ה will be worse wə·rā·‘āh לְךָ֣ for you lə·ḵā מִכָּל־ than all mik·kāl הָרָעָה֙ the adversity hā·rā·‘āh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- בָּ֣אָה has befallen bā·’āh עָלֶ֔יךָ you ‘ā·le·ḵā מִנְּעֻרֶ֖יךָ from your youth min·nə·‘u·re·ḵā עַד־ until ‘aḏ- עָֽתָּה׃ס now ! ” ‘āt·tāh 2 Samuel 19:8 הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ So the king ham·me·leḵ וַיָּ֥קָם got up way·yā·qām וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב and sat way·yê·šeḇ בַּשָּׁ֑עַר in the gate , baš·šā·‘ar וּֽלְכָל־ and all ū·lə·ḵāl- הָעָ֞ם the people hā·‘ām הִגִּ֣ידוּ were told : hig·gî·ḏū לֵאמֹ֗ר . . . lê·mōr הִנֵּ֤ה “ Behold , hin·nêh הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ the king ham·me·leḵ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב is sitting yō·wō·šêḇ בַּשַּׁ֔עַר in the gate . ” baš·ša·‘ar הָעָם֙ So they hā·‘ām כָל־ all ḵāl וַיָּבֹ֤א came way·yā·ḇō לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king . ham·me·leḵ וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Meanwhile, the Israelites wə·yiś·rā·’êl נָ֖ס had fled , nās אִ֥ישׁ each man ’îš לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃ס to his home . lə·’ō·hā·lāw 2 Samuel 19:9 וַיְהִ֤י And way·hî כָל־ all ḵāl הָעָם֙ the people hā·‘ām בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl שִׁבְטֵ֥י the tribes šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl לֵאמֹ֑ר vvv lê·mōr נָד֔וֹן were arguing , nā·ḏō·wn
