Genesis 31:5 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and he told way·yō·mer לָהֶ֗ן them , lā·hen אָנֹכִי֙ “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רֹאֶ֤ה can see rō·’eh אֲבִיכֶ֔ן from your father’s ’ă·ḇî·ḵen פְּנֵ֣י countenance pə·nê כִּֽי־ that kî- אֵלַ֖י his attitude toward me ’ê·lay אֵינֶ֥נּוּ has changed ’ê·nen·nū כִּתְמֹ֣ל . . . kiṯ·mōl שִׁלְשֹׁ֑ם . . . ; šil·šōm וֵֽאלֹהֵ֣י but the God wê·lō·hê אָבִ֔י of my father ’ā·ḇî הָיָ֖ה has been hā·yāh עִמָּדִֽי׃ with me . ‘im·mā·ḏî Genesis 31:6 וְאַתֵּ֖נָה You wə·’at·tê·nāh יְדַעְתֶּ֑ן know yə·ḏa‘·ten כִּ֚י that kî עָבַ֖דְתִּי I have served ‘ā·ḇaḏ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲבִיכֶֽן׃ your father ’ă·ḇî·ḵen בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl כֹּחִ֔י my strength . kō·ḥî Genesis 31:7 וַאֲבִיכֶן֙ And although he wa·’ă·ḇî·ḵen הֵ֣תֶל has cheated hê·ṯel בִּ֔י me bî וְהֶחֱלִ֥ף and changed wə·he·ḥĕ·lip̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַשְׂכֻּרְתִּ֖י my wages maś·kur·tî עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת ten ‘ă·śe·reṯ מֹנִ֑ים times , mō·nîm אֱלֹהִ֔ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וְלֹֽא־ has not wə·lō- נְתָנ֣וֹ allowed him nə·ṯā·nōw לְהָרַ֖ע to harm me . lə·hā·ra‘ עִמָּדִֽי׃ . . . ‘im·mā·ḏî Genesis 31:8 אִם־ If ’im- כֹּ֣ה . . . kōh יֹאמַ֗ר he said , yō·mar נְקֻדִּים֙ ‘ The speckled nə·qud·dîm יִהְיֶ֣ה will be yih·yeh שְׂכָרֶ֔ךָ your wages , ’ śə·ḵā·re·ḵā כָל־ then the whole ḵāl הַצֹּ֖אן flock haṣ·ṣōn וְיָלְד֥וּ bore wə·yā·lə·ḏū נְקֻדִּ֑ים speckled offspring . nə·qud·dîm וְאִם־ If wə·’im- כֹּ֣ה . . . kōh יֹאמַ֗ר he said , yō·mar עֲקֻדִּים֙ ‘ The streaked ‘ă·qud·dîm יִהְיֶ֣ה will be yih·yeh שְׂכָרֶ֔ךָ your wages , ’ śə·ḵā·re·ḵā כָל־ then the whole ḵāl הַצֹּ֖אן flock haṣ·ṣōn וְיָלְד֥וּ bore wə·yā·lə·ḏū עֲקֻדִּֽים׃ streaked offspring . ‘ă·qud·dîm Genesis 31:9 אֱלֹהִ֛ים Thus God ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּצֵּ֧ל has taken away way·yaṣ·ṣêl אֲבִיכֶ֖ם your father’s ’ă·ḇî·ḵem מִקְנֵ֥ה livestock miq·nêh וַיִּתֶּן־ and given way·yit·ten- לִֽי׃ [them] to me . lî Genesis 31:10 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî בְּעֵת֙ When bə·‘êṯ הַצֹּ֔אן the flocks haṣ·ṣōn יַחֵ֣ם were breeding , ya·ḥêm וָאֶשָּׂ֥א I saw wā·’eś·śā עֵינַ֛י . . . ‘ê·nay וָאֵ֖רֶא . . . wā·’ê·re בַּחֲל֑וֹם in a dream ba·ḥă·lō·wm וְהִנֵּ֤ה . . . wə·hin·nêh עֲקֻדִּ֥ים that the streaked , ‘ă·qud·dîm וּבְרֻדִּֽים׃ spotted , ū·ḇə·rud·dîm נְקֻדִּ֖ים and speckled nə·qud·dîm הָֽעַתֻּדִים֙ males hā·‘at·tu·ḏîm הָעֹלִ֣ים were mating hā·‘ō·lîm עַל־ with ‘al- הַצֹּ֔אן the females . haṣ·ṣōn
