עַבְדּ֔וֹ “ Your servant ‘aḇ·dōw כֵּ֖ן . . . kên יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה will do ya·‘ă·śeh עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ . . . ‘aḇ·de·ḵā כְּכֹל֩ all kə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer אֲדֹנִ֤י my lord ’ă·ḏō·nî הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ the king ham·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְצַוֶּ֜ה has commanded . ” yə·ṣaw·weh וּמְפִיבֹ֗שֶׁת So Mephibosheth ū·mə·p̄î·ḇō·šeṯ אֹכֵל֙ ate ’ō·ḵêl עַל־ at ‘al- שֻׁלְחָנִ֔י [David’s] table šul·ḥā·nî כְּאַחַ֖ד like one kə·’a·ḥaḏ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ of the king’s ham·me·leḵ מִבְּנֵ֥י [own] sons . mib·bə·nê 2 Samuel 9:12 וְלִמְפִיבֹ֥שֶׁת And Mephibosheth wə·lim·p̄î·ḇō·šeṯ קָטָ֖ן had a young qā·ṭān בֵּן־ son bên- וּשְׁמ֣וֹ named ū·šə·mōw מִיכָ֑א Mica , mî·ḵā וְכֹל֙ and all wə·ḵōl מוֹשַׁ֣ב who dwelt mō·wō·šaḇ בֵּית־ in the house bêṯ- צִיבָ֔א of Ziba ṣî·ḇā עֲבָדִ֖ים [were] servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm לִמְפִיבֹֽשֶׁת׃ of Mephibosheth . lim·p̄î·ḇō·šeṯ 2 Samuel 9:13 וּמְפִיבֹ֗שֶׁת So Mephibosheth ū·mə·p̄î·ḇō·šeṯ יֹשֵׁב֙ lived yō·šêḇ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם in Jerusalem , bî·rū·šā·lim כִּ֣י because kî ה֣וּא he hū תָּמִ֖יד always tā·mîḏ אֹכֵ֑ל ate ’ō·ḵêl וְה֥וּא . . . wə·hū עַל־ at ‘al- הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ the king’s ham·me·leḵ שֻׁלְחַ֥ן table , šul·ḥan פִסֵּ֖חַ and he was lame pis·sê·aḥ שְׁתֵּ֥י in both šə·tê רַגְלָֽיו׃פ feet . raḡ·lāw 2 Samuel 10:1 וַֽיְהִי֙ - way·hî אַֽחֲרֵי־ Some time later , ’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֔ן . . . ḵên מֶ֖לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בְּנֵ֣י of the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּ֑וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וַיָּ֕מָת died way·yā·māṯ וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ and was succeeded by way·yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ - taḥ·tāw בְּנ֖וֹ his son bə·nōw חָנ֥וּן Hanun . ḥā·nūn 2 Samuel 10:2 דָּוִ֜ד And David dā·wiḏ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said , way·yō·mer אֶעֱשֶׂה־ “ I will show ’e·‘ĕ·śeh- חֶ֣סֶד׀ kindness ḥe·seḏ עִם־ to ‘im- חָנ֣וּן Hanun ḥā·nūn בֶּן־ son ben- נָחָ֗שׁ of Nahash , nā·ḥāš כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ just as ka·’ă·šer אָבִ֤יו his father ’ā·ḇîw עָשָׂ֨ה showed ‘ā·śāh חֶ֔סֶד kindness ḥe·seḏ עִמָּדִי֙ to me . ” ‘im·mā·ḏî דָּוִ֧ד So David dā·wiḏ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח sent way·yiš·laḥ עֲבָדָ֖יו some of his servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw לְנַחֲמ֛וֹ to console [Hanun] lə·na·ḥă·mōw בְּיַד־ . . . bə·yaḏ- אֶל־ concerning ’el- אָבִ֑יו his father . ’ā·ḇîw עַבְדֵ֣י But when they ‘aḇ·ḏê דָוִ֔ד . . . ḏā·wiḏ וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ arrived way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶ֖רֶץ in the land ’e·reṣ בְּנֵ֥י of the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּֽוֹן׃ . . . , ‘am·mō·wn 2 Samuel 10:3 שָׂרֵ֨י the princes śā·rê בְנֵֽי־ of the Ammonites ḇə·nê- עַמּ֜וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩ said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- חָנ֣וּן Hanun ḥā·nūn
