2 Samuel 9:7 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֗א be afraid , ” tî·rā וַיֹּאמֶר֩ said way·yō·mer דָוִ֜ד David ḏā·wiḏ ל֨וֹ , lōw כִּ֣י “ for kî עָשֹׂה֩ surely ‘ā·śōh אֶעֱשֶׂ֨ה I will show ’e·‘ĕ·śeh עִמְּךָ֥ you ‘im·mə·ḵā חֶ֙סֶד֙ kindness ḥe·seḏ בַּֽעֲבוּר֙ for the sake ba·‘ă·ḇūr אָבִ֔יךָ of your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן Jonathan . yə·hō·w·nā·ṯān וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֣י I will restore wa·hă·ši·ḇō·ṯî לְךָ֔ to you lə·ḵā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- שְׂדֵ֖ה the land śə·ḏêh אָבִ֑יךָ of your grandfather ’ā·ḇî·ḵā שָׁא֣וּל Saul , šā·’ūl וְאַתָּ֗ה and you wə·’at·tāh תָּמִֽיד׃ will always tā·mîḏ תֹּ֥אכַל eat tō·ḵal לֶ֛חֶם . . . le·ḥem עַל־ at ‘al- שֻׁלְחָנִ֖י my table . ” šul·ḥā·nî 2 Samuel 9:8 וַיִּשְׁתַּ֕חוּ Mephibosheth bowed down way·yiš·ta·ḥū וַיֹּ֖אמֶר and said , way·yō·mer מֶ֣ה “ What meh עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ is your servant , ‘aḇ·de·ḵā כִּ֣י that kî פָנִ֔יתָ you should show regard p̄ā·nî·ṯā אֶל־ for ’el- הַמֵּ֖ת a dead ham·mêṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הַכֶּ֥לֶב dog hak·ke·leḇ כָּמֽוֹנִי׃ like me ? ” kā·mō·w·nî 2 Samuel 9:9 הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ Then the king ham·me·leḵ וַיִּקְרָ֣א summoned way·yiq·rā שָׁא֖וּל Saul’s šā·’ūl נַ֥עַר servant na·‘ar צִיבָ֛א Ziba ṣî·ḇā וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and said way·yō·mer אֵלָ֑יו . . . ’ê·lāw אֶל־ to him , ’el- נָתַ֖תִּי “ I have given nā·ṯat·tî אֲדֹנֶֽיךָ׃ to your master’s ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā לְבֶן־ grandson lə·ḇen- כֹּל֩ all kōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer הָיָ֤ה belonged to hā·yāh לְשָׁאוּל֙ Saul lə·šā·’ūl וּלְכָל־ and to all ū·lə·ḵāl- בֵּית֔וֹ his house . bê·ṯōw 2 Samuel 9:10 אַתָּה֩ You ’at·tāh וּבָנֶ֨יךָ and your sons ū·ḇā·ne·ḵā וַעֲבָדֶ֜יךָ and servants wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וְעָבַ֣דְתָּ are to work wə·‘ā·ḇaḏ·tā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֲדָמָ֡ה the ground hā·’ă·ḏā·māh לּ֣וֹ for him lōw וְהֵבֵ֗אתָ and bring in [the harvest] , wə·hê·ḇê·ṯā אֲדֹנֶ֤יךָ so that your master’s ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā לְבֶן־ grandson lə·ḇen- וְהָיָ֨ה may have wə·hā·yāh לֶּ֙חֶם֙ food le·ḥem וַאֲכָל֔וֹ to eat . wa·’ă·ḵā·lōw וּמְפִיבֹ֙שֶׁת֙ But Mephibosheth , ū·mə·p̄î·ḇō·šeṯ אֲדֹנֶ֔יךָ your master’s ’ă·ḏō·ne·ḵā בֶּן־ grandson , ben- תָּמִ֛יד is always tā·mîḏ לֶ֖חֶם . . . le·ḥem יֹאכַ֥ל to eat yō·ḵal עַל־ at ‘al- שֻׁלְחָנִ֑י my table . ” šul·ḥā·nî וּלְצִיבָ֗א Now Ziba ū·lə·ṣî·ḇā חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה had fifteen ḥă·miš·šāh עָשָׂ֛ר . . . ‘ā·śār בָּנִ֖ים sons bā·nîm וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים and twenty wə·‘eś·rîm עֲבָדִֽים׃ servants . ‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm 2 Samuel 9:11 צִיבָא֙ And Ziba ṣî·ḇā וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king , ham·me·leḵ
