אֶ֖ל to ’el עַבְדֵ֣י the officers ‘aḇ·ḏê הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר of Hadadezer hă·ḏaḏ·‘ā·zer וַיְבִיאֵ֖ם and brought them way·ḇî·’êm יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ to Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim 2 Samuel 8:8 וּמִבֶּ֥טַח And from Betah ū·mib·be·ṭaḥ וּמִבֵּֽרֹתַ֖י and Berothai , ū·mib·bê·rō·ṯay עָרֵ֣י cities ‘ā·rê הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר of Hadadezer , hă·ḏaḏ·‘ā·zer הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ דָּוִ֛ד David dā·wiḏ לָקַ֞ח took lā·qaḥ מְאֹֽד׃ס a large mə·’ōḏ הַרְבֵּ֥ה amount har·bêh נְחֹ֖שֶׁת of bronze . nə·ḥō·šeṯ 2 Samuel 8:9 מֶ֣לֶךְ When King me·leḵ תֹּ֖עִי Toi tō·‘î חֲמָ֑ת of Hamath ḥă·māṯ וַיִּשְׁמַ֕ע heard way·yiš·ma‘ כִּ֚י that kî דָוִ֔ד David ḏā·wiḏ אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ הִכָּ֣ה had defeated hik·kāh כָּל־ the entire kāl- חֵ֥יל army ḥêl הֲדַדְעָֽזֶר׃ of Hadadezer , hă·ḏaḏ·‘ā·zer 2 Samuel 8:10 תֹּ֣עִי he tō·‘î אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח sent way·yiš·laḥ בְּנ֣וֹ his son bə·nōw יֽוֹרָם־ Joram yō·w·rām- לִשְׁאָל־ to greet liš·’āl- אֶל־ - ’el- הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ King ham·me·leḵ- דָּ֠וִד David dā·wiḏ ל֨וֹ - lōw לְשָׁל֜וֹם vvv lə·šā·lō·wm וּֽלְבָרֲכ֗וֹ and bless him ū·lə·ḇā·ră·ḵōw עַל֩ for ‘al אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer נִלְחַ֤ם fighting nil·ḥam וַיַּכֵּ֔הוּ and defeating way·yak·kê·hū בַּהֲדַדְעֶ֙זֶר֙ Hadadezer , ba·hă·ḏaḏ·‘e·zer כִּי־ [who] kî- אִ֛ישׁ . . . ’îš הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר - hă·ḏaḏ·‘ā·zer הָיָ֣ה had been hā·yāh מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת at war mil·ḥă·mō·wṯ תֹּ֖עִי with Toi . tō·‘î הָי֛וּ [Joram] brought hā·yū וּבְיָד֗וֹ with him ū·ḇə·yā·ḏōw כְּלֵֽי־ articles kə·lê- כֶ֥סֶף of silver ḵe·sep̄ וּכְלֵֽי־ and ū·ḵə·lê- זָהָ֖ב gold zā·hāḇ וּכְלֵ֥י and ū·ḵə·lê נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ bronze , nə·ḥō·šeṯ 2 Samuel 8:11 גַּם־ and gam- הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ דָּוִ֖ד David dā·wiḏ הִקְדִּ֛ישׁ dedicated hiq·dîš אֹתָ֕ם these ’ō·ṯām לַֽיהוָ֑ה to YHWH , Yah·weh עִם־ along with ‘im- הַכֶּ֤סֶף the silver hak·ke·sep̄ וְהַזָּהָב֙ and gold wə·haz·zā·hāḇ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer הִקְדִּ֔ישׁ he had dedicated hiq·dîš מִכָּל־ from all mik·kāl הַגּוֹיִ֖ם the nations hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer כִּבֵּֽשׁ׃ he had subdued — kib·bêš 2 Samuel 8:12 מֵאֲרָ֤ם from Edom mê·’ă·rām וּמִמּוֹאָב֙ and Moab , ū·mim·mō·w·’āḇ וּמִבְּנֵ֣י from the Ammonites ū·mib·bə·nê עַמּ֔וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וּמִפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים and Philistines ū·mip·pə·liš·tîm וּמֵֽעֲמָלֵ֑ק and Amalekites , ū·mê·‘ă·mā·lêq וּמִשְּׁלַ֛ל and from the spoil ū·miš·šə·lal הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר of Hadadezer hă·ḏaḏ·‘e·zer בֶּן־ son ben- רְחֹ֖ב of Rehob , rə·ḥōḇ מֶ֥לֶךְ king me·leḵ צוֹבָֽה׃ of Zobah . ṣō·w·ḇāh
