דָוִ֔ד David ḏā·wiḏ יִהְיֶ֥ה will be yih·yeh נָכ֖וֹן established nā·ḵō·wn לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃ before You . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā 2 Samuel 7:27 כִּֽי־ For kî- אַתָּה֩ You , ’at·tāh יְהוָ֨ה O YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֜וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl גָּלִ֜יתָה have revealed [this] gā·lî·ṯāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֹ֤זֶן - ’ō·zen עַבְדְּךָ֙ to Your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā לֵאמֹ֔ר when You said , lê·mōr אֶבְנֶה־ ‘ I will build ’eḇ·neh- בַּ֖יִת a house ba·yiṯ לָּ֑ךְ for you . ’ lāḵ עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֗ן . . . kên עַבְדְּךָ֙ Your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מָצָ֤א has found mā·ṣā לִבּ֔וֹ the courage lib·bōw לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל to offer lə·hiṯ·pal·lêl הַזֹּֽאת׃ this haz·zōṯ הַתְּפִלָּ֖ה prayer hat·tə·p̄il·lāh אֵלֶ֔יךָ to You . ’ê·le·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- 2 Samuel 7:28 וְעַתָּ֣ה׀ And now , wə·‘at·tāh אֲדֹנָ֣י O Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh אַתָּה־ You ’at·tāh- הוּא֙ are hū הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים God ! hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וּדְבָרֶ֖יךָ Your words ū·ḏə·ḇā·re·ḵā יִהְי֣וּ are yih·yū אֱמֶ֑ת true , ’ĕ·meṯ וַתְּדַבֵּר֙ and You have promised wat·tə·ḏab·bêr הַזֹּֽאת׃ this haz·zōṯ הַטּוֹבָ֖ה goodness haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh אֶֽל־ to ’el- עַבְדְּךָ֔ Your servant . ‘aḇ·də·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- 2 Samuel 7:29 וְעַתָּ֗ה Now therefore , wə·‘at·tāh הוֹאֵל֙ may it please You hō·w·’êl וּבָרֵךְ֙ to bless ū·ḇā·rêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ עַבְדְּךָ֔ of Your servant , ‘aḇ·də·ḵā לִהְי֥וֹת that it may continue lih·yō·wṯ לְעוֹלָ֖ם forever lə·‘ō·w·lām לְפָנֶ֑יךָ before You . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā כִּֽי־ For kî- אַתָּ֞ה You , ’at·tāh אֲדֹנָ֤י O Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh דִּבַּ֔רְתָּ have spoken , dib·bar·tā וּמִבִּרְכָ֣תְךָ֔ and with Your blessing ū·mib·bir·ḵā·ṯə·ḵā בֵּֽית־ the house bêṯ- עַבְדְּךָ֖ of Your servant ‘aḇ·də·ḵā יְבֹרַ֥ךְ will be blessed forever yə·ḇō·raḵ לְעוֹלָֽם׃פ . . . . ” lə·‘ō·w·lām 2 Samuel 8:1 וַֽיְהִי֙ Some time later way·hî אַֽחֲרֵי־ . . . ’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֔ן . . . , ḵên דָּוִ֛ד David dā·wiḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּ֥ךְ defeated way·yaḵ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים the Philistines , pə·liš·tîm וַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑ם subdued them , way·yaḵ·nî·‘êm וַיִּקַּ֥ח and took way·yiq·qaḥ דָּוִ֛ד . . . dā·wiḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֶ֥תֶג vvv me·ṯeḡ הָאַמָּ֖ה Metheg-ammah hā·’am·māh מִיַּ֥ד from the hand mî·yaḏ פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ of the Philistines . pə·liš·tîm 2 Samuel 8:2 וַיַּ֣ךְ [David] also defeated way·yaḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מוֹאָ֗ב the Moabites , mō·w·’āḇ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ב made them lie down haš·kêḇ אוֹתָ֣ם - ’ō·w·ṯām אַ֔רְצָה on the ground , ’ar·ṣāh וַֽיְמַדְּדֵ֤ם and measured them off way·mad·də·ḏêm
