לְשִׁבְתִּֽי׃ to dwell in ? lə·šiḇ·tî 2 Samuel 7:6 כִּ֣י For kî לֹ֤א I have not lō יָשַׁ֙בְתִּי֙ dwelt yā·šaḇ·tî בְּבַ֔יִת in a house bə·ḇa·yiṯ לְ֠מִיּוֹם from the day lə·mî·yō·wm הַעֲלֹתִ֞י I brought ha·‘ă·lō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנֵ֤י the Israelites {up} bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם out of Egypt mim·miṣ·ra·yim וְעַ֖ד until wə·‘aḏ הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day , hay·yō·wm וָאֶֽהְיֶה֙ but I have wā·’eh·yeh מִתְהַלֵּ֔ךְ moved about miṯ·hal·lêḵ בְּאֹ֖הֶל with a tent bə·’ō·hel וּבְמִשְׁכָּֽן׃ as My dwelling . ū·ḇə·miš·kān 2 Samuel 7:7 בְּכֹ֥ל In all bə·ḵōl אֲשֶֽׁר־ - ’ă·šer- הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֮ My journeys hiṯ·hal·laḵ·tî בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ . . . , yiś·rā·’êl דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי have I ever asked dib·bar·tî הֲדָבָ֣ר . . . hă·ḏā·ḇār אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- אַחַד֙ any ’a·ḥaḏ שִׁבְטֵ֣י [of the] leaders šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל - yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer צִוִּ֗יתִי I appointed ṣiw·wî·ṯî לִרְע֛וֹת to shepherd lir·‘ō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַמִּ֥י My people ‘am·mî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr לָ֛מָּה ‘ Why lām·māh לֹֽא־ haven’t lō- בְנִיתֶ֥ם you built ḇə·nî·ṯem לִ֖י Me lî בֵּ֥ית a house bêṯ אֲרָזִֽים׃ of cedar ? ’ ’ă·rā·zîm 2 Samuel 7:8 וְ֠עַתָּה Now wə·‘at·tāh כֹּֽה־ then , kōh- תֹאמַ֞ר you are to tell ṯō·mar לְעַבְדִּ֣י My servant lə·‘aḇ·dî לְדָוִ֗ד David lə·ḏā·wiḏ כֹּ֤ה that this is what kōh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar אֲנִ֤י I ’ă·nî לְקַחְתִּ֙יךָ֙ took you lə·qaḥ·tî·ḵā מִן־ from min- הַנָּוֶ֔ה the pasture , han·nā·weh מֵאַחַ֖ר from following mê·’a·ḥar הַצֹּ֑אן the flock , haṣ·ṣōn לִֽהְי֣וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ נָגִ֔יד the ruler nā·ḡîḏ עַל־ over ‘al- עַמִּ֖י My people ‘am·mî עַל־ . . . ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel . yiś·rā·’êl 2 Samuel 7:9 וָאֶהְיֶ֣ה I have been wā·’eh·yeh עִמְּךָ֗ with you ‘im·mə·ḵā בְּכֹל֙ vvv bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֣ר wherever ’ă·šer הָלַ֔כְתָּ you have gone , hā·laḵ·tā וָאַכְרִ֥תָה and I have cut off wā·’aḵ·ri·ṯāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ your enemies ’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ from before you . mip·pā·ne·ḵā וְעָשִׂ֤תִֽי Now I will make wə·‘ā·śi·ṯî לְךָ֙ for you lə·ḵā שֵׁ֣ם a name šêm כְּשֵׁ֥ם like kə·šêm הַגְּדֹלִ֖ים . . . hag·gə·ḏō·lîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer גָּד֔וֹל the greatest gā·ḏō·wl בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ in the land . bā·’ā·reṣ 2 Samuel 7:10 וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י And I will provide wə·śam·tî מָ֠קוֹם a place mā·qō·wm
