Yah·weh 2 Samuel 6:18 דָּוִ֔ד When David dā·wiḏ וַיְכַ֣ל had finished way·ḵal מֵהַעֲל֥וֹת sacrificing mê·ha·‘ă·lō·wṯ הָעוֹלָ֖ה the burnt offerings hā·‘ō·w·lāh וְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים and peace offerings , wə·haš·šə·lā·mîm וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ he blessed way·ḇā·reḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעָ֔ם the people hā·‘ām בְּשֵׁ֖ם in the name bə·šêm יְהוָ֥ה of YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאֽוֹת׃ of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ 2 Samuel 6:19 וַיְחַלֵּ֨ק Then he distributed way·ḥal·lêq לְכָל־ to every lə·ḵāl הָעָ֜ם . . . hā·‘ām לְמֵאִ֣ישׁ man lə·mê·’îš וְעַד־ and wə·‘aḏ- אִשָּׁה֒ woman ’iš·šāh לְאִ֗ישׁ lə·’îš לְכָל־ among lə·ḵāl הֲמ֣וֹן the multitude hă·mō·wn יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl אַחַ֔ת a ’a·ḥaṯ חַלַּ֥ת loaf ḥal·laṯ לֶ֙חֶם֙ of bread , le·ḥem אֶחָ֔ד a ’e·ḥāḏ וְאֶשְׁפָּ֣ר date cake , wə·’eš·pār אֶחָ֑ת and a ’e·ḥāṯ וַאֲשִׁישָׁ֖ה raisin cake . wa·’ă·šî·šāh כָּל־ And all kāl- הָעָ֖ם the people hā·‘ām וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ departed , way·yê·leḵ אִ֥ישׁ each ’îš לְבֵיתֽוֹ׃ for his own home . lə·ḇê·ṯōw 2 Samuel 6:20 דָּוִ֖ד As soon as David dā·wiḏ וַיָּ֥שָׁב returned way·yā·šāḇ לְבָרֵ֣ךְ home to bless lə·ḇā·rêḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּית֑וֹ his own household , bê·ṯōw שָׁאוּל֙ Saul’s šā·’ūl לִקְרַ֣את . . . liq·raṯ בַּת־ daughter baṯ- מִיכַ֤ל Michal mî·ḵal וַתֵּצֵ֞א came out wat·tê·ṣê דָּוִ֔ד to meet him . dā·wiḏ מַה־ “ How mah- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl נִּכְבַּ֨ד has distinguished himself niḵ·baḏ הַיּ֜וֹם today ! ” hay·yō·wm וַתֹּ֗אמֶר she said . wat·tō·mer אֲשֶׁ֨ר “ He ’ă·šer נִגְלָ֤ה has uncovered himself niḡ·lāh הַיּוֹם֙ today hay·yō·wm לְעֵינֵ֨י in the sight lə·‘ê·nê אַמְה֣וֹת of the maidservants ’am·hō·wṯ עֲבָדָ֔יו of his subjects , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw אַחַ֥ד like a ’a·ḥaḏ הָרֵקִֽים׃ vulgar person hā·rê·qîm כְּהִגָּל֥וֹת would [do] kə·hig·gā·lō·wṯ נִגְל֖וֹת . . . . ” niḡ·lō·wṯ 2 Samuel 6:21 דָּוִד֮ But David dā·wiḏ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מִיכַל֒ Michal , mî·ḵal לִפְנֵ֣י “ I was dancing before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁ֨ר who ’ă·šer בָּֽחַר־ chose bā·ḥar- בִּ֤י me bî מֵֽאָבִיךְ֙ over your father mê·’ā·ḇîḵ וּמִכָּל־ and all ū·mik·kāl- בֵּית֔וֹ his house bê·ṯōw לְצַוֺּ֨ת when He appointed lə·ṣaw·wōṯ אֹתִ֥י me ’ō·ṯî נָגִ֛יד ruler nā·ḡîḏ עַל־ over ‘al- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH’s Yah·weh עַל־ . . . ‘al- עַ֥ם people ‘am יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl וְשִׂחַקְתִּ֖י I will celebrate wə·śi·ḥaq·tî לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH , Yah·weh 2 Samuel 6:22 וּנְקַלֹּ֤תִי and I will humiliate ū·nə·qal·lō·ṯî
