הַשַּׁ֑ל his irreverence , haš·šal וַיָּ֣מָת and he died way·yā·māṯ שָׁ֔ם there šām עִ֖ם beside ‘im אֲר֥וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ of God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm 2 Samuel 6:8 לְדָוִ֔ד Then David lə·ḏā·wiḏ וַיִּ֣חַר became angry way·yi·ḥar עַל֩ because ‘al אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh פָּרַ֧ץ had burst forth pā·raṣ פֶּ֖רֶץ . . . pe·reṣ בְּעֻזָּ֑ה against Uzzah ; bə·‘uz·zāh וַיִּקְרָ֞א so he named way·yiq·rā הַהוּא֙ that ha·hū לַמָּק֤וֹם place lam·mā·qō·wm פֶּ֣רֶץ vvv pe·reṣ עֻזָּ֔ה Perez-uzzah , ‘uz·zāh עַ֖ד as it is [called] to ‘aḏ הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day . hay·yō·wm 2 Samuel 6:9 הַה֑וּא That ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm דָוִ֛ד David ḏā·wiḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּרָ֥א feared way·yi·rā יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֕אמֶר and asked , way·yō·mer אֵ֛יךְ “ How ’êḵ אֲר֥וֹן can the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH Yah·weh יָב֥וֹא ever come yā·ḇō·w אֵלַ֖י to me ? ” ’ê·lay 2 Samuel 6:10 דָוִ֗ד So he ḏā·wiḏ וְלֹֽא־ vvv wə·lō- אָבָ֣ה was unwilling ’ā·ḇāh לְהָסִ֥יר to move lə·hā·sîr אֵלָ֛יו . . . ’ê·lāw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲר֥וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh עַל־ to ‘al- עִ֣יר the City ‘îr דָּוִ֑ד of David ; dā·wiḏ דָוִ֔ד instead, he took ḏā·wiḏ וַיַּטֵּ֣הוּ it aside way·yaṭ·ṭê·hū בֵּ֥ית to the house bêṯ עֹבֵֽד־ vvv ‘ō·ḇêḏ- אֱד֖וֹם of Obed-edom ’ĕ·ḏō·wm הַגִּתִּֽי׃ the Gittite . hag·git·tî 2 Samuel 6:11 אֲר֨וֹן Thus the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָ֜ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ remained way·yê·šeḇ בֵּ֣ית in the house bêṯ עֹבֵ֥ד vvv ‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱדֹ֛ם of Obed-edom ’ĕ·ḏōm הַגִּתִּ֖י the Gittite hag·git·tî שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה for three šə·lō·šāh חֳדָשִׁ֑ים months , ḥo·ḏā·šîm יְהוָ֛ה and YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְבָ֧רֶךְ blessed way·ḇā·reḵ עֹבֵ֥ד vvv ‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱדֹ֖ם [him] ’ĕ·ḏōm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ and all kāl- בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ his household . bê·ṯōw 2 Samuel 6:12 וַיֻּגַּ֗ד Now it was reported way·yug·gaḏ לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ to King lam·me·leḵ דָּוִד֮ David dā·wiḏ לֵאמֹר֒ . . . , lê·mōr יְהוָ֗ה “ YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּרַ֣ךְ has blessed bê·raḵ בֵּ֨ית the house bêṯ עֹבֵ֤ד vvv ‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱדֹם֙ of Obed-edom ’ĕ·ḏōm וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- ל֔וֹ belongs to him , lōw בַּעֲב֖וּר because of ba·‘ă·ḇūr אֲר֣וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God . ” hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm
