לְשָׁא֗וּל to Saul , lə·šā·’ūl וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ he sent way·yiš·laḥ אֲחֵרִ֔ים more ’ă·ḥê·rîm מַלְאָכִ֣ים messengers , mal·’ā·ḵîm הֵ֑מָּה but they hêm·māh וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ began to prophesy way·yiṯ·nab·bə·’ū גַּם־ as well . gam- שָׁא֗וּל So Saul šā·’ūl וַיֹּ֣סֶף tried again way·yō·sep̄ וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ and sent way·yiš·laḥ מַלְאָכִ֣ים messengers mal·’ā·ḵîm שְׁלִשִׁ֔ים a third [time] , šə·li·šîm גַּם־ and even gam- הֵֽמָּה׃ they hêm·māh וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ began to prophesy . way·yiṯ·nab·bə·’ū 1 Samuel 19:22 ה֜וּא Finally, Saul himself hū וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ left for way·yê·leḵ גַּם־ . . . gam- הָרָמָ֗תָה Ramah hā·rā·mā·ṯāh וַיָּבֹא֙ and came way·yā·ḇō עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַגָּדוֹל֙ the large hag·gā·ḏō·wl אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בּ֤וֹר cistern bō·wr בַּשֶּׂ֔כוּ at Secu , baś·śe·ḵū וַיִּשְׁאַ֣ל where he asked way·yiš·’al וַיֹּ֔אמֶר . . . , way·yō·mer אֵיפֹ֥ה “ Where ’ê·p̄ōh שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל are Samuel šə·mū·’êl וְדָוִ֑ד and David ?” wə·ḏā·wiḏ בְּנֹוִית “ At Naioth bə·nō·wīṯ בָּרָמָֽה׃ in Ramah , ” bā·rā·māh וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he was told way·yō·mer הִנֵּ֖ה - . hin·nêh 1 Samuel 19:23 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ So Saul went way·yê·leḵ שָׁ֔ם . . . šām אֶל־ to ’el- נֹוִית Naioth nō·wīṯ בָּרָמָ֑ה in Ramah . bā·rā·māh ר֣וּחַ But the Spirit rū·aḥ אֱלֹהִ֗ים of God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַתְּהִי֩ came wat·tə·hî עָלָ֨יו upon ‘ā·lāw גַּם־ even gam- ה֜וּא [Saul] , hū וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ and he walked along way·yê·leḵ הָלוֹךְ֙ . . . hā·lō·wḵ וַיִּתְנַבֵּ֔א prophesying way·yiṯ·nab·bê עַד־ until ‘aḏ- בֹּא֖וֹ he came to bō·’ōw בְּנֹוִית Naioth bə·nō·wīṯ בָּרָמָֽה׃ in Ramah . bā·rā·māh 1 Samuel 19:24 ה֜וּא Then Saul hū וַיִּפְשַׁ֨ט stripped off way·yip̄·šaṭ בְּגָדָ֗יו his robes bə·ḡā·ḏāw גַּם־ and also gam- וַיִּתְנַבֵּ֤א prophesied way·yiṯ·nab·bê גַם־ - ḡam- הוּא֙ - hū לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל Samuel . šə·mū·’êl וַיִּפֹּ֣ל And he collapsed way·yip·pōl עָרֹ֔ם and lay naked ‘ā·rōm כָּל־ all kāl- הַה֖וּא that ha·hū הַיּ֥וֹם day hay·yō·wm וְכָל־ and wə·ḵāl הַלָּ֑יְלָה night . hal·lā·yə·lāh עַל־ That is why ‘al- כֵּן֙ . . . kên יֹֽאמְר֔וּ it is said , yō·mə·rū שָׁא֖וּל “ Is Saul šā·’ūl הֲגַ֥ם also hă·ḡam בַּנְּבִיאִֽם׃פ among the prophets ? ” ban·nə·ḇî·’im 1 Samuel 20:1 דָּוִ֔ד Then David dā·wiḏ וַיִּבְרַ֣ח fled way·yiḇ·raḥ מִנֹּוִות from Naioth min·nō·wi·wṯ בָּרָמָ֑ה in Ramah . bā·rā·māh וַיָּבֹ֞א He came way·yā·ḇō לִפְנֵ֣י to lip̄·nê יְהוֹנָתָ֗ן Jonathan yə·hō·w·nā·ṯān וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ and asked , way·yō·mer מֶ֤ה “ What meh עָשִׂ֙יתִי֙ have I done ? ‘ā·śî·ṯî מֶֽה־ What [is] meh- עֲוֺנִ֤י my iniquity ? ‘ă·wō·nî וּמֶֽה־ How ū·meh- חַטָּאתִי֙ have I sinned ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯî
