וְאֶל־ [will be] for wə·’el- אִישֵׁךְ֙ your husband , ’î·šêḵ וְה֖וּא and he wə·hū יִמְשָׁל־ will rule yim·šāl- בָּֽךְ׃ס over you . ” bāḵ Genesis 3:17 וּלְאָדָ֣ם And to Adam ū·lə·’ā·ḏām אָמַ֗ר He said : ’ā·mar כִּֽי־ “ Because kî- שָׁמַעְתָּ֮ you have listened šā·ma‘·tā לְק֣וֹל to the voice lə·qō·wl מִן־ of min- אִשְׁתֶּךָ֒ your wife ’iš·te·ḵā וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ and have eaten wat·tō·ḵal הָעֵ֔ץ from the tree hā·‘êṣ אֲשֶׁ֤ר of which ’ă·šer צִוִּיתִ֙יךָ֙ I commanded ṣiw·wî·ṯî·ḵā לֵאמֹ֔ר . . . lê·mōr לֹ֥א you not lō תֹאכַ֖ל to eat ṯō·ḵal מִמֶּ֑נּוּ - , mim·men·nū אֲרוּרָ֤ה cursed ’ă·rū·rāh הָֽאֲדָמָה֙ [is] the ground hā·’ă·ḏā·māh בַּֽעֲבוּרֶ֔ךָ because of you ; ba·‘ă·ḇū·re·ḵā בְּעִצָּבוֹן֙ through toil bə·‘iṣ·ṣā·ḇō·wn תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֔נָּה you will eat [of] it tō·ḵă·len·nāh כֹּ֖ל all kōl יְמֵ֥י the days yə·mê חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ of your life . ḥay·ye·ḵā Genesis 3:18 וְק֥וֹץ Both thorns wə·qō·wṣ וְדַרְדַּ֖ר and thistles wə·ḏar·dar תַּצְמִ֣יחַֽ it {will} yield taṣ·mî·aḥ לָ֑ךְ for you , lāḵ וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ and you {will} eat wə·’ā·ḵal·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵ֥שֶׂב the plants ‘ê·śeḇ הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ of the field . haś·śā·ḏeh Genesis 3:19 בְּזֵעַ֤ת By the sweat bə·zê·‘aṯ אַפֶּ֙יךָ֙ of your brow ’ap·pe·ḵā תֹּ֣אכַל you will eat tō·ḵal לֶ֔חֶם [your] bread , le·ḥem עַ֤ד until ‘aḏ שֽׁוּבְךָ֙ you return šū·ḇə·ḵā אֶל־ to ’el- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the ground — hā·’ă·ḏā·māh כִּ֥י because kî מִמֶּ֖נָּה out of it mim·men·nāh לֻקָּ֑חְתָּ were you taken . luq·qā·ḥə·tā כִּֽי־ For kî- עָפָ֣ר dust ‘ā·p̄ār אַ֔תָּה you [are] , ’at·tāh וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- עָפָ֖ר dust ‘ā·p̄ār תָּשֽׁוּב׃ you {shall} return . ” tā·šūḇ Genesis 3:20 הָֽאָדָ֛ם And Adam hā·’ā·ḏām וַיִּקְרָ֧א vvv way·yiq·rā שֵׁ֥ם named šêm אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ his wife ’iš·tōw חַוָּ֑ה Eve , ḥaw·wāh כִּ֛י because kî הִ֥וא she hî הָֽיְתָ֖ה would be hā·yə·ṯāh אֵ֥ם the mother ’êm כָּל־ of all kāl- חָֽי׃ the living . ḥāy Genesis 3:21 יְהוָ֨ה And YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֜ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיַּעַשׂ֩ made way·ya·‘aś כָּתְנ֥וֹת garments kā·ṯə·nō·wṯ ע֖וֹר of skin ‘ō·wr לְאָדָ֧ם for Adam lə·’ā·ḏām וּלְאִשְׁתּ֛וֹ and his wife , ū·lə·’iš·tōw וַיַּלְבִּשֵֽׁם׃פ and He clothed them . way·yal·bi·šêm Genesis 3:22 יְהוָ֣ה Then YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֗ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ said , way·yō·mer הֵ֤ן “ Behold , hên הָֽאָדָם֙ the man hā·’ā·ḏām הָיָה֙ has become hā·yāh כְּאַחַ֣ד like one kə·’a·ḥaḏ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ of Us , mim·men·nū לָדַ֖עַת knowing lā·ḏa·‘aṯ ט֣וֹב good ṭō·wḇ
