אֲכָלְכֶ֣ם you eat ’ă·ḵā·lə·ḵem מִמֶּ֔נּוּ of it , mim·men·nū עֵֽינֵיכֶ֑ם your eyes ‘ê·nê·ḵem וִהְיִיתֶם֙ will be wih·yî·ṯem וְנִפְקְח֖וּ opened wə·nip̄·qə·ḥū כֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים and you will be like God , kê·lō·hîm יֹדְעֵ֖י knowing yō·ḏə·‘ê ט֥וֹב good ṭō·wḇ וָרָֽע׃ and evil . ” wā·rā‘ Genesis 3:6 הָֽאִשָּׁ֡ה When the woman hā·’iš·šāh וַתֵּ֣רֶא saw wat·tê·re כִּ֣י that kî הָעֵ֨ץ the tree hā·‘êṣ טוֹב֩ [was] good ṭō·wḇ לְמַאֲכָ֜ל for food lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl וְכִ֧י and wə·ḵî ה֣וּא - hū תַֽאֲוָה־ pleasing ṯa·’ă·wāh- לָעֵינַ֗יִם to the eyes , lā·‘ê·na·yim הָעֵץ֙ [and that it was] hā·‘êṣ וְנֶחְמָ֤ד desirable wə·neḥ·māḏ לְהַשְׂכִּ֔יל for obtaining wisdom , lə·haś·kîl וַתִּקַּ֥ח she took wat·tiq·qaḥ מִפִּרְי֖וֹ the fruit mip·pir·yōw וַתֹּאכַ֑ל and ate it . wat·tō·ḵal וַתִּתֵּ֧ן She also gave [some] wat·tit·tên גַּם־ . . . gam- לְאִישָׁ֛הּ to her husband lə·’î·šāh עִמָּ֖הּ [who was] with her , ‘im·māh וַיֹּאכַֽל׃ and he ate it . way·yō·ḵal Genesis 3:7 עֵינֵ֣י And the eyes ‘ê·nê שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם of both of them šə·nê·hem וַתִּפָּקַ֙חְנָה֙ were opened , wat·tip·pā·qaḥ·nāh הֵ֑ם and they hêm וַיֵּ֣דְע֔וּ knew way·yê·ḏə·‘ū כִּ֥י that kî עֵֽירֻמִּ֖ם they [were] naked ; ‘ê·rum·mim וַֽיִּתְפְּרוּ֙ so they sewed together way·yiṯ·pə·rū תְאֵנָ֔ה fig ṯə·’ê·nāh עֲלֵ֣ה leaves ‘ă·lêh וַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּ and made way·ya·‘ă·śū חֲגֹרֹֽת׃ coverings ḥă·ḡō·rōṯ לָהֶ֖ם for themselves . lā·hem Genesis 3:8 הָֽאָדָ֜ם Then the man hā·’ā·ḏām וְאִשְׁתּ֗וֹ and his wife wə·’iš·tōw וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֞וּ heard way·yiš·mə·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ק֨וֹל the voice qō·wl יְהוָ֧ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֛ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm מִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ walking miṯ·hal·lêḵ בַּגָּ֖ן in the garden bag·gān לְר֣וּחַ in the breeze lə·rū·aḥ הַיּ֑וֹם of the day , hay·yō·wm וַיִּתְחַבֵּ֨א and they hid themselves way·yiṯ·ḥab·bê מִפְּנֵי֙ from the presence mip·pə·nê יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֔ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm בְּת֖וֹךְ among bə·ṯō·wḵ עֵ֥ץ the trees ‘êṣ הַגָּֽן׃ of the garden . hag·gān Genesis 3:9 יְהוָ֥ה But YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיִּקְרָ֛א called out way·yiq·rā אֶל־ to ’el- הָֽאָדָ֑ם the man hā·’ā·ḏām וַיֹּ֥אמֶר - way·yō·mer ל֖וֹ - , lōw אַיֶּֽכָּה׃ “ Where [are] you ? ” ’ay·yek·kāh Genesis 3:10 שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי “ I heard šā·ma‘·tî קֹלְךָ֥ Your voice qō·lə·ḵā בַּגָּ֑ן in the garden , ” bag·gān וַיֹּ֕אמֶר he replied way·yō·mer אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- וָאִירָ֛א “ and I was afraid wā·’î·rā כִּֽי־ because kî- אָנֹ֖כִי I ’ā·nō·ḵî עֵירֹ֥ם [was] naked ; ‘ê·rōm וָאֵחָבֵֽא׃ so I hid myself . ” wā·’ê·ḥā·ḇê Genesis 3:11 מִ֚י “ Who mî הִגִּ֣יד told hig·gîḏ לְךָ֔ - lə·ḵā
