עֲגָלָ֤ה cart ‘ă·ḡā·lāh וּשְׁתֵּ֤י with two ū·šə·tê עָל֔וֹת milk ‘ā·lō·wṯ פָרוֹת֙ cows p̄ā·rō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֛ר that ’ă·šer לֹא־ have never lō- עָלָ֥ה been yoked ‘ā·lāh עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם . . . ‘ă·lê·hem עֹ֑ל . . . . ‘ōl וַאֲסַרְתֶּ֤ם Hitch wa·’ă·sar·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַפָּרוֹת֙ the cows hap·pā·rō·wṯ בָּעֲגָלָ֔ה to the cart , bā·‘ă·ḡā·lāh בְּנֵיהֶ֛ם but take their calves bə·nê·hem מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם . . . mê·’a·ḥă·rê·hem וַהֲשֵׁיבֹתֶ֧ם away wa·hă·šê·ḇō·ṯem הַבָּֽיְתָה׃ and pen them up . hab·bā·yə·ṯāh 1 Samuel 6:8 וּלְקַחְתֶּ֞ם Take ū·lə·qaḥ·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲר֣וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וּנְתַתֶּ֤ם set ū·nə·ṯat·tem אֹתוֹ֙ it ’ō·ṯōw אֶל־ on ’el- הָ֣עֲגָלָ֔ה the cart , hā·‘ă·ḡā·lāh וְאֵ֣ת׀ and wə·’êṯ בָאַרְגַּ֖ז in a chest ḇā·’ar·gaz מִצִּדּ֑וֹ beside it miṣ·ṣid·dōw תָּשִׂ֥ימוּ put tā·śî·mū הַזָּהָ֗ב the gold haz·zā·hāḇ כְּלֵ֣י objects kə·lê אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer הֲשֵׁבֹתֶ֥ם you are sending hă·šê·ḇō·ṯem לוֹ֙ Him lōw אָשָׁ֔ם as a guilt offering . ’ā·šām וְשִׁלַּחְתֶּ֥ם Then send wə·šil·laḥ·tem אֹת֖וֹ [the ark] ’ō·ṯōw וְהָלָֽךְ׃ on its way , wə·hā·lāḵ 1 Samuel 6:9 וּרְאִיתֶ֗ם but keep watching it . ū·rə·’î·ṯem אִם־ If ’im- יַֽעֲלֶה֙ it goes up ya·‘ă·leh דֶּ֨רֶךְ the road de·reḵ גְּבוּל֤וֹ to its homeland , gə·ḇū·lōw בֵּ֣ית vvv bêṯ שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ toward Beth-shemesh , še·meš ה֚וּא it is YHWH hū עָ֣שָׂה who has brought ‘ā·śāh לָ֔נוּ on us lā·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֑את this haz·zōṯ הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה great hag·gə·ḏō·w·lāh הָרָעָ֥ה disaster . hā·rā·‘āh וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- לֹ֗א it does not , lō וְיָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ then we will know wə·yā·ḏa‘·nū כִּ֣י that kî לֹ֤א it was not lō יָדוֹ֙ His hand yā·ḏōw נָ֣גְעָה that punished nā·ḡə·‘āh בָּ֔נוּ us bā·nū ה֖וּא and that it hū הָ֥יָה happened hā·yāh לָֽנוּ׃ - lā·nū מִקְרֶ֥ה by chance .” miq·reh 1 Samuel 6:10 הָאֲנָשִׁים֙ So the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm וַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּ did way·ya·‘ă·śū כֵּ֔ן [as instructed] . kên וַיִּקְח֗וּ They took way·yiq·ḥū שְׁתֵּ֤י two šə·tê עָל֔וֹת milk ‘ā·lō·wṯ פָרוֹת֙ cows , p̄ā·rō·wṯ וַיַּאַסְר֖וּם hitched them way·ya·’as·rūm בָּעֲגָלָ֑ה to the cart , bā·‘ă·ḡā·lāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כָּל֥וּ and penned up kā·lū בַבָּֽיִת׃ . . . ḇab·bā·yiṯ בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם their calves . bə·nê·hem 1 Samuel 6:11 וַיָּשִׂ֛מוּ Then they put way·yā·śi·mū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲר֥וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ on ’el- הָעֲגָלָ֑ה the cart , hā·‘ă·ḡā·lāh וְאֵ֣ת - wə·’êṯ הָאַרְגַּ֗ז along with the chest hā·’ar·gaz וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ הַזָּהָ֔ב containing the gold haz·zā·hāḇ וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ
