Judges 19:28 ק֥וּמִי “ Get up , ” qū·mî וַיֹּ֧אמֶר he told her . way·yō·mer אֵלֶ֛יהָ . . . ’ê·le·hā וְנֵלֵ֖כָה “ Let us go . ” wə·nê·lê·ḵāh וְאֵ֣ין But there was no wə·’ên עֹנֶ֑ה response . ‘ō·neh הָאִ֔ישׁ So the man hā·’îš וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ . . . way·yê·leḵ וַיִּקָּחֶ֙הָ֙ put her way·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā עַֽל־ on ‘al- הַחֲמ֔וֹר his donkey ha·ḥă·mō·wr וַיָּ֣קָם and set out way·yā·qām לִמְקֹמֽוֹ׃ for home . lim·qō·mōw Judges 19:29 וַיָּבֹ֣א When he reached way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ . . . ’el- בֵּית֗וֹ his house , bê·ṯōw וַיִּקַּ֤ח he picked up way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַֽמַּאֲכֶ֙לֶת֙ a knife , ham·ma·’ă·ḵe·leṯ וַיַּחֲזֵ֣ק took hold way·ya·ḥă·zêq בְּפִֽילַגְשׁ֔וֹ of his concubine , bə·p̄î·laḡ·šōw וַֽיְנַתְּחֶ֙הָ֙ cut her way·nat·tə·ḥe·hā לַעֲצָמֶ֔יהָ limb by limb la·‘ă·ṣā·me·hā לִשְׁנֵ֥ים into twelve liš·nêm עָשָׂ֖ר . . . ‘ā·śār נְתָחִ֑ים pieces , nə·ṯā·ḥîm וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֶ֔הָ and sent her way·šal·lə·ḥe·hā בְּכֹ֖ל throughout bə·ḵōl גְּב֥וּל the territory gə·ḇūl יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Judges 19:30 וְהָיָ֣ה And wə·hā·yāh כָל־ everyone ḵāl הָרֹאֶ֗ה who saw hā·rō·’eh וְאָמַר֙ it said , wə·’ā·mar לֹֽא־ “ Nothing lō- כָּזֹ֔את like this kā·zōṯ נִרְאֲתָה֙ has been seen nir·’ă·ṯāh נִהְיְתָ֤ה or done nih·yə·ṯāh וְלֹֽא־ - wə·lō- לְמִיּ֞וֹם from the day lə·mî·yō·wm בְּנֵֽי־ the Israelites bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl עֲל֤וֹת came out ‘ă·lō·wṯ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim עַ֖ד until ‘aḏ הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day . hay·yō·wm שִֽׂימוּ־ Think it over śî·mū- לָכֶ֥ם . . . lā·ḵem עָלֶ֖יהָ . . . , ‘ā·le·hā עֻ֥צוּ take counsel , ‘u·ṣū וְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃פ and speak up ! ” wə·ḏab·bê·rū Judges 20:1 כָּל־ Then all kāl- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ . . . yiś·rā·’êl לְמִדָּן֙ from Dan lə·mid·dān וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- בְּאֵ֣ר vvv bə·’êr שֶׁ֔בַע Beersheba še·ḇa‘ וְאֶ֖רֶץ and from the land wə·’e·reṣ הַגִּלְעָ֑ד of Gilead hag·gil·‘āḏ וַיֵּצְאוּ֮ came out , way·yê·ṣə·’ū הָעֵדָ֜ה and the congregation hā·‘ê·ḏāh וַתִּקָּהֵ֨ל assembled wat·tiq·qā·hêl אֶחָ֗ד as one ’e·ḥāḏ כְּאִ֣ישׁ man kə·’îš אֶל־ before ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh הַמִּצְפָּֽה׃ at Mizpah . ham·miṣ·pāh Judges 20:2 פִּנּ֣וֹת The leaders pin·nō·wṯ כָּל־ of all kāl- הָעָ֗ם the people hā·‘ām כֹּ֚ל and all kōl שִׁבְטֵ֣י the tribes šiḇ·ṭê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֞וּ presented themselves way·yiṯ·yaṣ·ṣə·ḇū בִּקְהַ֖ל in the assembly biq·hal הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God’s hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm עַ֣ם people : ‘am אַרְבַּ֨ע 400,000 {} ’ar·ba‘ מֵא֥וֹת . . . mê·’ō·wṯ אֶ֛לֶף . . . ’e·lep̄ אִ֥ישׁ men ’îš רַגְלִ֖י on foot , raḡ·lî
