וְאֵ֣ין but no wə·’ên אִ֔ישׁ one ’îš מְאַסֵּ֥ף has taken mə·’as·sêp̄ אוֹתִ֖י me ’ō·w·ṯî הַבָּֽיְתָה׃ into his home , hab·bā·yə·ṯāh Judges 19:19 יֵ֣שׁ even though there is yêš וְגַם־ both wə·ḡam- תֶּ֤בֶן straw te·ḇen גַּם־ and gam- מִסְפּוֹא֙ feed mis·pō·w לַחֲמוֹרֵ֔ינוּ for our donkeys , la·ḥă·mō·w·rê·nū וְ֠גַם and wə·ḡam לֶ֣חֶם bread le·ḥem וָיַ֤יִן and wine wā·ya·yin יֶשׁ־ . . . yeš- לִי֙ for me lî וְלַֽאֲמָתֶ֔ךָ and the maidservant wə·la·’ă·mā·ṯe·ḵā וְלַנַּ֖עַר and young man wə·lan·na·‘ar עִם־ with me . ‘im- אֵ֥ין There is nothing that ’ên עֲבָדֶ֑יךָ we, your servants , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā כָּל־ . . . kāl- דָּבָֽר׃ . . . dā·ḇār מַחְס֖וֹר lack . ” maḥ·sō·wr Judges 19:20 שָׁל֣וֹם “ Peace šā·lō·wm לָ֔ךְ to you , ” lāḵ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer הַזָּקֵן֙ the old haz·zā·qên הָאִ֤ישׁ man . hā·’îš עָלָ֑י “ Let me supply ‘ā·lāy רַ֥ק . . . raq כָּל־ everything kāl- מַחְסוֹרְךָ֖ you need . maḥ·sō·wr·ḵā רַ֥ק Only raq אַל־ do not ’al- תָּלַֽן׃ spend the night tā·lan בָּרְח֖וֹב in the square . ” bā·rə·ḥō·wḇ Judges 19:21 וַיְבִיאֵ֣הוּ So he brought him way·ḇî·’ê·hū לְבֵית֔וֹ to his house lə·ḇê·ṯōw וַיָּ֖בָול and fed way·yå̄·ḇå̄·wl לַחֲמוֹרִ֑ים his donkeys . la·ḥă·mō·w·rîm וַֽיִּרְחֲצוּ֙ And they washed way·yir·ḥă·ṣū רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם their feet raḡ·lê·hem וַיֹּאכְל֖וּ and ate way·yō·ḵə·lū וַיִּשְׁתּֽוּ׃ and drank . way·yiš·tū Judges 19:22 הֵמָּה֮ While they hêm·māh מֵיטִיבִ֣ים were enjoying mê·ṭî·ḇîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לִבָּם֒ themselves , lib·bām וְהִנֵּה֩ suddenly wə·hin·nêh בְלִיַּ֗עַל the wicked ḇə·lî·ya·‘al אַנְשֵׁ֨י men ’an·šê הָעִ֜יר of the city hā·‘îr אַנְשֵׁ֣י - ’an·šê בְנֵֽי־ - ḇə·nê- נָסַ֙בּוּ֙ surrounded nā·sab·bū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבַּ֔יִת the house . hab·ba·yiṯ מִֽתְדַּפְּקִ֖ים Pounding miṯ·dap·pə·qîm עַל־ on ‘al- הַדָּ֑לֶת the door , had·dā·leṯ וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ they said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- הַזָּקֵן֙ the old haz·zā·qên הָ֠אִישׁ man hā·’îš בַּ֣עַל who owned ba·‘al הַבַּ֤יִת the house hab·ba·yiṯ לֵאמֹ֔ר - , lê·mōr הוֹצֵ֗א “ Bring out hō·w·ṣê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאִ֛ישׁ the man hā·’îš אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- בָּ֥א came bā אֶל־ to ’el- בֵּיתְךָ֖ your house , bê·ṯə·ḵā וְנֵדָעֶֽנּוּ׃ so we can have relations with him ! ” wə·nê·ḏā·‘en·nū Judges 19:23 הָאִישׁ֙ vvv hā·’îš בַּ֣עַל The owner ba·‘al הַבַּ֔יִת of the house hab·ba·yiṯ וַיֵּצֵ֣א went out way·yê·ṣê אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם - ’ă·lê·hem וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and said way·yō·mer אֲלֵהֶ֔ם to them , ’ă·lê·hem אַל־ “ No , ’al- אַחַ֖י my brothers , ’a·ḥay
