וְלַ֥נּוּ to spend the night wə·lan·nū בַגִּבְעָ֖ה in Gibeah ḇag·giḇ·‘āh א֥וֹ or ’ōw בָרָמָֽה׃ Ramah . ” ḇā·rā·māh Judges 19:14 וַיֵּלֵ֑כוּ So they continued way·yê·lê·ḵū וַיַּעַבְר֖וּ on their journey , way·ya·‘aḇ·rū הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ and the sun haš·še·meš וַתָּבֹ֤א set wat·tā·ḇō לָהֶם֙ lā·hem אֵ֥צֶל as they neared ’ê·ṣel הַגִּבְעָ֖ה Gibeah hag·giḇ·‘āh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer לְבִנְיָמִֽן׃ in Benjamin . lə·ḇin·yā·min Judges 19:15 וַיָּסֻ֣רוּ They stopped way·yā·su·rū שָׁ֔ם . . . šām לָב֖וֹא to go in lā·ḇō·w לָל֣וּן and lodge lā·lūn בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה in Gibeah . bag·giḇ·‘āh וַיָּבֹ֗א The Levite went in way·yā·ḇō וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ and sat down way·yê·šeḇ הָעִ֔יר in the city hā·‘îr בִּרְח֣וֹב square , bir·ḥō·wḇ וְאֵ֥ין but no wə·’ên אִ֛ישׁ one ’îš מְאַסֵּֽף־ would take mə·’as·sêp̄- אוֹתָ֥ם them ’ō·w·ṯām הַבַּ֖יְתָה into his home hab·bay·ṯāh לָלֽוּן׃ for the night . lā·lūn Judges 19:16 וְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ - wə·hin·nêh בָּעֶ֔רֶב That evening bā·‘e·reḇ זָקֵ֗ן an old zā·qên אִ֣ישׁ man ’îš וְהָאִישׁ֙ - wə·hā·’îš מֵהַ֣ר from the hill country mê·har אֶפְרַ֔יִם of Ephraim , ’ep̄·ra·yim וְהוּא־ . . . wə·hū- גָ֖ר who was residing ḡār בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה in Gibeah bag·giḇ·‘āh וְאַנְשֵׁ֥י ( the men wə·’an·šê הַמָּק֖וֹם of that place ham·mā·qō·wm בְּנֵ֥י vvv bə·nê יְמִינִֽי׃ were Benjamites ), yə·mî·nî בָּ֣א came in bā מִֽן־ from min- מַעֲשֵׂ֤הוּ his work ma·‘ă·śê·hū מִן־ in min- הַשָּׂדֶה֙ the field . haś·śā·ḏeh Judges 19:17 וַיִּשָּׂ֣א When he looked up way·yiś·śā עֵינָ֗יו . . . ‘ê·nāw וַיַּ֛רְא and saw way·yar אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאִ֥ישׁ vvv hā·’îš הָאֹרֵ֖חַ the traveler hā·’ō·rê·aḥ הָעִ֑יר in the city hā·‘îr בִּרְחֹ֣ב square , bir·ḥōḇ הַזָּקֵ֛ן the old haz·zā·qên הָאִ֧ישׁ man hå̄·ʾīš וַיֹּ֨אמֶר asked , way·yō·mer אָ֥נָה “ Where ’ā·nāh תֵלֵ֖ךְ are you going , ṯê·lêḵ וּמֵאַ֥יִן and where ū·mê·’a·yin תָּבֽוֹא׃ have you come from ? ” tā·ḇō·w Judges 19:18 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר [The Levite] replied , way·yō·mer אֵלָ֗יו . . . ’ê·lāw אֲנַ֜חְנוּ “ We are ’ă·naḥ·nū עֹבְרִ֨ים traveling ‘ō·ḇə·rîm מִבֵּֽית־ from mib·bêṯ- לֶ֣חֶם Bethlehem le·ḥem יְהוּדָה֮ in Judah yə·hū·ḏāh עַד־ to ‘aḏ- יַרְכְּתֵ֣י the remote yar·kə·ṯê הַר־ hill country har- אֶפְרַיִם֒ of Ephraim , ’ep̄·ra·yim מִשָּׁ֣ם where miš·šām אָנֹ֔כִי I am from . ’ā·nō·ḵî וָאֵלֵ֕ךְ I went wā·’ê·lêḵ עַד־ to ‘aḏ- בֵּ֥ית vvv bêṯ לֶ֖חֶם Bethlehem le·ḥem יְהוּדָ֑ה in Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲנִ֣י and now I am ’ă·nî הֹלֵ֔ךְ going hō·lêḵ בֵּ֤ית to the house bêṯ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH ; Yah·weh
