חֲמֹרִ֑ים of donkeys . ḥă·mō·rîm וַתְּבִיאֵ֙הוּ֙ So [the girl] brought him wat·tə·ḇî·’ê·hū אָבִ֔יהָ into her father’s ’ā·ḇî·hā בֵּ֣ית house , bêṯ הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה and when [her] han·na·‘ă·rāh אֲבִ֣י father ’ă·ḇî וַיִּרְאֵ֙הוּ֙ saw him , way·yir·’ê·hū וַיִּשְׂמַ֖ח he gladly way·yiś·maḥ לִקְרָאתֽוֹ׃ welcomed him . liq·rā·ṯōw Judges 19:4 חֹֽתְנוֹ֙ His father-in-law , ḥō·ṯə·nōw הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה the girl’s han·na·‘ă·rāh אֲבִ֣י father , ’ă·ḇî וַיֶּחֱזַק־ persuaded him to stay way·ye·ḥĕ·zaq- בּ֤וֹ . . . , bōw וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב so he remained way·yê·šeḇ אִתּ֖וֹ with him ’it·tōw שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת three šə·lō·šeṯ יָמִ֑ים days , yā·mîm וַיֹּאכְלוּ֙ eating , way·yō·ḵə·lū וַיִּשְׁתּ֔וּ drinking , way·yiš·tū וַיָּלִ֖ינוּ and lodging way·yā·lî·nū שָֽׁם׃ there . šām Judges 19:5 וַֽיְהִי֙ - way·hî הָרְבִיעִ֔י On the fourth hā·rə·ḇî·‘î בַּיּ֣וֹם day , bay·yō·wm וַיַּשְׁכִּ֥ימוּ they got up early way·yaš·kî·mū בַבֹּ֖קֶר in the morning ḇab·bō·qer וַיָּ֣קָם and prepared way·yā·qām לָלֶ֑כֶת to depart , lā·le·ḵeṯ הַֽנַּעֲרָ֜ה but the girl’s han·na·‘ă·rāh אֲבִ֨י father ’ă·ḇî וַיֹּאמֶר֩ said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- חֲתָנ֗וֹ his son-in-law , ḥă·ṯā·nōw סְעָ֧ד “ Refresh sə·‘āḏ לִבְּךָ֛ your heart lib·bə·ḵā פַּת־ with a morsel paṯ- לֶ֖חֶם of bread , le·ḥem וְאַחַ֥ר and then wə·’a·ḥar תֵּלֵֽכוּ׃ you can go . ” tê·lê·ḵū Judges 19:6 וַיֵּשְׁב֗וּ So they sat down way·yê·šə·ḇū שְׁנֵיהֶ֛ם and the two šə·nê·hem וַיֹּאכְל֧וּ of them ate way·yō·ḵə·lū וַיִּשְׁתּ֑וּ and drank way·yiš·tū יַחְדָּ֖ו together . yaḥ·dāw הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙ Then the girl’s han·na·‘ă·rāh אֲבִ֤י father ’ă·ḇî וַיֹּ֜אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- הָאִ֔ישׁ the man , hā·’îš נָ֥א “ Please nā הֽוֹאֶל־ agree hō·w·’el- וְלִ֖ין to stay overnight wə·lîn לִבֶּֽךָ׃ and let your heart lib·be·ḵā וְיִטַ֥ב be merry . ” wə·yi·ṭaḇ Judges 19:7 הָאִ֖ישׁ The man hā·’îš וַיָּ֥קָם got up way·yā·qām לָלֶ֑כֶת to depart , lā·le·ḵeṯ חֹתְנ֔וֹ but his father-in-law ḥō·ṯə·nōw וַיָּ֖שָׁב . . . way·yā·šāḇ וַיִּפְצַר־ persuaded way·yip̄·ṣar- בּוֹ֙ him , bōw וַיָּ֥לֶן so he stayed way·yā·len שָֽׁם׃ there that night . šām Judges 19:8 הַחֲמִישִׁי֮ On the fifth ha·ḥă·mî·šî בַּיּ֣וֹם day , bay·yō·wm וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם he got up early way·yaš·kêm בַּבֹּ֜קֶר in the morning bab·bō·qer לָלֶכֶת֒ to depart , lā·le·ḵeṯ הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ה but the girl’s han·na·‘ă·rāh אֲבִ֣י father ’ă·ḇî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ said , way·yō·mer נָא֙ “ Please nā סְעָד־ refresh sə·‘āḏ- לְבָ֣בְךָ֔ your heart . ” lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā וְהִֽתְמַהְמְה֖וּ So they waited wə·hiṯ·mah·mə·hū עַד־ until ‘aḏ- נְט֣וֹת late afternoon nə·ṭō·wṯ הַיּ֑וֹם . . . hay·yō·wm שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ and the two šə·nê·hem וַיֹּאכְל֖וּ of them ate . way·yō·ḵə·lū Judges 19:9 הָאִישׁ֙ When the man hā·’îš
