נָתַ֨ן has delivered nā·ṯan בְיָדֵ֙נוּ֙ into our hands ḇə·yā·ḏê·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- א֣וֹיְבֵ֔נוּ our enemy ’ō·wy·ḇê·nū וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ מַחֲרִ֣יב who destroyed ma·ḥă·rîḇ אַרְצֵ֔נוּ our land ’ar·ṣê·nū וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר and wa·’ă·šer הִרְבָּ֖ה multiplied hir·bāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חֲלָלֵֽינוּ׃ our dead . ” ḥă·lā·lê·nū Judges 16:25 וַֽיְהִי֙ And way·hî לִבָּ֔ם while their hearts lib·bām כִּי - kī טוֹב were merry , ṭōḇ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ they said , way·yō·mə·rū קִרְא֥וּ “ Call qir·’ū לְשִׁמְשׁ֖וֹן for Samson lə·šim·šō·wn וִישַֽׂחֶק־ to entertain wî·śa·ḥeq- לָ֑נוּ us . ” lā·nū וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ So they called way·yiq·rə·’ū לְשִׁמְשׁ֜וֹן Samson lə·šim·šō·wn מִבֵּ֣ית out of the prison mib·bêṯ האסירים . . . h·s·rm וַיְצַחֵק֙ to entertain them . way·ṣa·ḥêq לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם . . . lip̄·nê·hem וַיַּעֲמִ֥ידוּ And they stationed way·ya·‘ă·mî·ḏū אוֹת֖וֹ him ’ō·w·ṯōw בֵּ֥ין between bên הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ the pillars . hā·‘am·mū·ḏîm Judges 16:26 שִׁמְשׁ֜וֹן Samson šim·šō·wn וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- הַנַּ֨עַר the servant han·na·‘ar הַמַּחֲזִ֣יק who held ham·ma·ḥă·zîq בְּיָדוֹ֮ his hand , bə·yā·ḏōw הַנִּ֣יחָה “ Lead han·nî·ḥāh אוֹתִי֒ me ’ō·w·ṯî וְהֵימִשֵׁנִי where I can feel wə·hē·mi·šē·nī אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָֽעַמֻּדִ֔ים the pillars hā·‘am·mu·ḏîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer נָכ֣וֹן supporting nā·ḵō·wn הַבַּ֖יִת the temple , hab·ba·yiṯ וְאֶשָּׁעֵ֖ן so I can lean wə·’eš·šā·‘ên עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ . . . ‘ă·lê·hem עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם against them . ” ‘ă·lê·hem Judges 16:27 וְהַבַּ֗יִת Now the temple wə·hab·ba·yiṯ מָלֵ֤א was full mā·lê הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ of men hā·’ă·nā·šîm וְהַנָּשִׁ֔ים and women ; wə·han·nā·šîm כֹּ֖ל all kōl סַרְנֵ֣י the lords sar·nê פְלִשְׁתִּ֑ים of the Philistines p̄ə·liš·tîm וְשָׁ֕מָּה were there , wə·šām·māh כִּשְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת and about three kiš·lō·šeṯ אֲלָפִים֙ thousand ’ă·lā·p̄îm אִ֣ישׁ men ’îš וְאִשָּׁ֔ה and women wə·’iš·šāh וְעַל־ were on wə·‘al- הַגָּ֗ג the roof hag·gāḡ הָרֹאִ֖ים watching hā·rō·’îm שִׁמְשֽׁוֹן׃ Samson šim·šō·wn בִּשְׂח֥וֹק entertain them . biś·ḥō·wq Judges 16:28 שִׁמְשׁ֛וֹן Then Samson šim·šō·wn וַיִּקְרָ֥א called out way·yiq·rā אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמַ֑ר . . . : way·yō·mar אֲדֹנָ֣י “ O Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יֱהֹוִ֡ה YHWH , Yah·weh נָא֩ please nā זָכְרֵ֣נִי remember me . zā·ḵə·rê·nî וְחַזְּקֵ֨נִי Strengthen me , wə·ḥaz·zə·qê·nî נָ֜א . . . nā הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים O God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm אַ֣ךְ just ’aḵ הַפַּ֤עַם once more hap·pa·‘am הַזֶּה֙ . . . , haz·zeh אַחַ֛ת so that with one ’a·ḥaṯ נְקַם־ vengeful blow nə·qam- וְאִנָּקְמָ֧ה I may pay back wə·’in·nā·qə·māh מִפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ the Philistines mip·pə·liš·tîm מִשְּׁתֵ֥י for my two miš·šə·ṯê עֵינַ֖י eyes . ” ‘ê·nay
