לְקַחְתִּ֑יו took it . ” lə·qaḥ·tîw אִמּ֔וֹ Then his mother ’im·mōw וַתֹּ֣אמֶר said , wat·tō·mer בָּר֥וּךְ “ Blessed be bā·rūḵ בְּנִ֖י my son bə·nî לַיהוָֽה׃ by YHWH ! ” Yah·weh Judges 17:3 וַיָּ֛שֶׁב And when he had way·yā·šeḇ אֶת־ returned ’eṯ- אֶֽלֶף־ the eleven ’e·lep̄- וּמֵאָ֥ה hundred ū·mê·’āh הַכֶּ֖סֶף [shekels] of silver hak·ke·sep̄ לְאִמּ֑וֹ to his mother , lə·’im·mōw אִמּ֡וֹ [she] ’im·mōw וַתֹּ֣אמֶר said , wat·tō·mer הַקְדֵּ֣שׁ “ I wholly haq·dêš הִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּי dedicate hiq·daš·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַכֶּסֶף֩ the silver hak·ke·sep̄ לַיהוָ֨ה to YHWH Yah·weh מִיָּדִ֜י . . . mî·yā·ḏî לִבְנִ֗י for my son’s benefit , liḇ·nî לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙ to make la·‘ă·śō·wṯ פֶּ֣סֶל a graven image pe·sel וּמַסֵּכָ֔ה and a molten idol . ū·mas·sê·ḵāh וְעַתָּ֖ה Therefore I will now wə·‘at·tāh אֲשִׁיבֶ֥נּוּ return it ’ă·šî·ḇen·nū לָֽךְ׃ to you . ” lāḵ Judges 17:4 וַיָּ֥שֶׁב So he returned way·yā·šeḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַכֶּ֖סֶף the silver hak·ke·sep̄ לְאִמּ֑וֹ to his mother , lə·’im·mōw אִמּוֹ֩ and she ’im·mōw וַתִּקַּ֣ח took wat·tiq·qaḥ מָאתַ֨יִם two hundred [shekels] mā·ṯa·yim כֶּ֜סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ וַתִּתְּנֵ֣הוּ and gave them wat·tit·tə·nê·hū לַצּוֹרֵ֗ף to a silversmith , laṣ·ṣō·w·rêp̄ וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ who made them way·ya·‘ă·śê·hū פֶּ֣סֶל into a graven image pe·sel וּמַסֵּכָ֔ה and a molten idol . ū·mas·sê·ḵāh וַיְהִ֖י And they were placed way·hî בְּבֵ֥ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ מִיכָֽיְהוּ׃ of Micah . mî·ḵā·yə·hū Judges 17:5 וְהָאִ֣ישׁ Now this man wə·hā·’îš מִיכָ֔ה Micah mî·ḵāh ל֖וֹ had lōw בֵּ֣ית a shrine bêṯ אֱלֹהִ֑ים . . . , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיַּ֤עַשׂ and he made way·ya·‘aś אֵפוֹד֙ an ephod ’ê·p̄ō·wḏ וּתְרָפִ֔ים and some household idols , ū·ṯə·rā·p̄îm וַיְמַלֵּ֗א and ordained way·mal·lê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יַ֤ד - yaḏ אַחַד֙ one ’a·ḥaḏ מִבָּנָ֔יו of his sons mib·bā·nāw וַיְהִי־ [as] way·hî- ל֖וֹ his lōw לְכֹהֵֽן׃ priest . lə·ḵō·hên Judges 17:6 הָהֵ֔ם In those hā·hêm בַּיָּמִ֣ים days bay·yā·mîm אֵ֥ין there was no ’ên מֶ֖לֶךְ king me·leḵ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל in Israel ; bə·yiś·rā·’êl אִ֛ישׁ everyone ’îš יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃פ did [what was] ya·‘ă·śeh הַיָּשָׁ֥ר right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינָ֖יו in his own eyes . bə·‘ê·nāw Judges 17:7 וַיְהִי־ And there was way·hî- נַ֗עַר a young na·‘ar וְה֥וּא - wə·hū לֵוִ֖י Levite lê·wî מִבֵּ֥ית from mib·bêṯ לֶ֙חֶם֙ Bethlehem le·ḥem יְהוּדָ֔ה in Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וְה֥וּא who wə·hū גָֽר־ had been residing ḡār- שָֽׁם׃ . . . šām מִמִּשְׁפַּ֖חַת within the clan mim·miš·pa·ḥaṯ יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh Judges 17:8 הָאִ֜ישׁ This man hā·’îš וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ left way·yê·leḵ
