אִ֗ישׁ men , ’îš כֹּ֚ל all kōl בְּנֵ֣י the sons bə·nê יְרֻבַּ֔עַל of Jerubbaal , yə·rub·ba·‘al הַמְשֹׁ֨ל rule ham·šōl בָּכֶ֜ם over you , bā·ḵem אִם־ or ’im- אֶחָ֑ד just one ’e·ḥāḏ אִ֣ישׁ man ’îš מְשֹׁ֥ל - mə·šōl בָּכֶ֖ם - ? ’ bā·ḵem וּזְכַרְתֶּ֕ם Remember ū·zə·ḵar·tem כִּֽי־ that kî- אָנִֽי׃ I ʾå̄·nī וּבְשַׂרְכֶ֖ם am your own flesh ū·ḇə·śar·ḵem עַצְמֵכֶם and blood . ” ʿaṣ·mē·ḵɛm Judges 9:3 אִמּ֜וֹ And when his mother’s ’im·mōw אֲחֵֽי־ brothers ’ă·ḥê- וַיְדַבְּר֨וּ spoke way·ḏab·bə·rū כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm עָלָ֗יו about him ‘ā·lāw בְּאָזְנֵי֙ in the presence bə·’ā·zə·nê כָּל־ of all kāl- בַּעֲלֵ֣י the leaders ba·‘ă·lê שְׁכֶ֔ם of Shechem , šə·ḵem אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ לִבָּם֙ their hearts lib·bām וַיֵּ֤ט were inclined way·yêṭ אַחֲרֵ֣י to follow ’a·ḥă·rê אֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ Abimelech , ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ כִּ֥י for kî אָמְר֖וּ they said , ’ā·mə·rū הֽוּא׃ “ He hū אָחִ֥ינוּ is our brother . ” ’ā·ḥî·nū Judges 9:4 וַיִּתְּנוּ־ So they gave way·yit·tə·nū- לוֹ֙ him lōw שִׁבְעִ֣ים seventy [shekels] šiḇ·‘îm כֶּ֔סֶף of silver ke·sep̄ מִבֵּ֖יתּ from the temple mib·bēt בַ֣עַל of ḇa·ʿal בְּרִ֑ית Baal-berith , bə·rîṯ בָּהֶ֜ם with which bā·hem אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ Abimelech ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ וַיִּשְׂכֹּ֨ר hired way·yiś·kōr רֵיקִים֙ some worthless rê·qîm וּפֹ֣חֲזִ֔ים and reckless ū·p̄ō·ḥă·zîm אֲנָשִׁ֤ים men ’ă·nā·šîm וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ to follow way·yê·lə·ḵū אַחֲרָֽיו׃ him . ’a·ḥă·rāw Judges 9:5 וַיָּבֹ֤א He went way·yā·ḇō אָבִיו֙ to his father’s ’ā·ḇîw בֵית־ house ḇêṯ- עָפְרָ֔תָה in Ophrah , ‘ā·p̄ə·rā·ṯāh עַל־ and on ‘al- אֶחָ֑ת one ’e·ḥāṯ אֶ֣בֶן stone ’e·ḇen וַֽיַּהֲרֹ֞ג murdered way·ya·hă·rōḡ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שִׁבְּעִ֥ים his seventy šib·bə·ʿīm אִ֖ישׁ . . . ’îš אֶחָ֧יו brothers , ’e·ḥāw בְּנֵֽי־ the sons bə·nê- יְרֻבַּ֛עַל of Jerubbaal . yə·rub·ba·‘al יוֹתָ֧ם But Jotham , yō·w·ṯām הַקָּטֹ֖ן the youngest haq·qā·ṭōn בֶּן־ son ben- יְרֻבַּ֛עַל of Jerubbaal , yə·rub·ba·‘al וַיִּוָּתֵ֞ר survived , way·yiw·wā·ṯêr כִּ֥י because kî נֶחְבָּֽא׃ס he hid himself . neḥ·bā Judges 9:6 כָּל־ Then all kāl- בַּעֲלֵ֤י the leaders ba·‘ă·lê שְׁכֶם֙ of Shechem šə·ḵem וְכָל־ and wə·ḵāl בֵּ֣ית . . . bêṯ מִלּ֔וֹא Beth-millo mil·lō·w וַיֵּאָ֨סְפ֜וּ gathered way·yê·’ā·sə·p̄ū עִם־ beside ‘im- אֵל֥וֹן the oak ’ê·lō·wn מֻצָּ֖ב at the pillar muṣ·ṣāḇ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃ in Shechem biš·ḵem וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ and proceeded way·yê·lə·ḵū וַיַּמְלִ֥יכוּ to make way·yam·lî·ḵū אֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ Abimelech ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
