לוֹ֙ - . lōw דְּבַר־ “ I have a word də·ḇar- אֱלֹהִ֥ים from God ’ĕ·lō·hîm לִ֖י lî אֵלֶ֑יךָ for you , ” ’ê·le·ḵā אֵה֔וּד Ehud ’ê·hūḏ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer וַיָּ֖קָם and the king rose way·yā·qām מֵעַ֥ל from mê·‘al הַכִּסֵּֽא׃ [his] seat . hak·kis·sê Judges 3:21 אֵהוּד֙ And Ehud ’ê·hūḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח reached way·yiš·laḥ שְׂמֹאל֔וֹ with his left śə·mō·lōw יַ֣ד hand , yaḏ וַיִּקַּח֙ pulled way·yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַחֶ֔רֶב the sword ha·ḥe·reḇ מֵעַ֖ל from mê·‘al יְמִינ֑וֹ his right yə·mî·nōw יֶ֣רֶךְ thigh , ye·reḵ וַיִּתְקָעֶ֖הָ and plunged way·yiṯ·qā·‘e·hā בְּבִטְנֽוֹ׃ it into Eglon’s belly . bə·ḇiṭ·nōw Judges 3:22 גַֽם־ Even ḡam- הַנִּצָּ֜ב the handle han·niṣ·ṣāḇ וַיָּבֹ֨א sank in way·yā·ḇō אַחַ֣ר after ’a·ḥar הַלַּ֗הַב the blade , hal·la·haḇ הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ and Eglon’s fat ha·ḥê·leḇ וַיִּסְגֹּ֤ר closed in way·yis·gōr בְּעַ֣ד over bə·‘aḏ הַלַּ֔הַב it , hal·la·haḇ כִּ֣י so that kî לֹ֥א Ehud did not lō שָׁלַ֛ף withdraw šā·lap̄ הַחֶ֖רֶב the sword ha·ḥe·reḇ מִבִּטְנ֑וֹ from his belly . mib·biṭ·nōw הַֽפַּרְשְׁדֹֽנָה׃ And Eglon’s bowels hap·par·šə·ḏō·nāh וַיֵּצֵ֖א emptied . way·yê·ṣê Judges 3:23 אֵה֖וּד Then Ehud ’ê·hūḏ וַיֵּצֵ֥א went out way·yê·ṣê הַֽמִּסְדְּר֑וֹנָה through the porch , ham·mis·də·rō·w·nāh וַיִּסְגֹּ֞ר closing way·yis·gōr וְנָעָֽל׃ and locking wə·nā·‘āl דַּלְת֧וֹת the doors dal·ṯō·wṯ הָעַלִיָּ֛ה of the upper room hā·‘a·lî·yāh בַּעֲד֖וֹ behind him . ba·‘ă·ḏōw Judges 3:24 וְה֤וּא After Ehud wə·hū יָצָא֙ was gone , yā·ṣā וַעֲבָדָ֣יו Eglon’s servants wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw בָּ֔אוּ came in bā·’ū וַיִּרְא֕וּ - way·yir·’ū וְהִנֵּ֛ה and found wə·hin·nêh דַּלְת֥וֹת the doors dal·ṯō·wṯ הָעֲלִיָּ֖ה of the upper room hā·‘ă·lî·yāh נְעֻל֑וֹת locked . nə·‘u·lō·wṯ אַ֣ךְ “ . . . ’aḵ ה֛וּא He must be hū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֵסִ֥יךְ relieving himself mê·sîḵ רַגְלָ֖יו . . . raḡ·lāw הַמְּקֵרָֽה׃ in the cool ham·mə·qê·rāh בַּחֲדַ֥ר room , ” ba·ḥă·ḏar וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ they said . way·yō·mə·rū Judges 3:25 וַיָּחִ֣ילוּ So they waited way·yā·ḥî·lū עַד־ until ‘aḏ- בּ֔וֹשׁ they became worried bō·wōš וְהְנֵּ֛ה and saw wə·hən·nēh אֵינֶ֥נּוּ that he had still not ’ê·nen·nū פֹתֵ֖חַ opened p̄ō·ṯê·aḥ דַּלְת֣וֹת the doors dal·ṯō·wṯ הָֽעֲלִיָּ֑ה of the upper room . hå̄·ʿă·lī·yå̄h וַיִּקְח֤וּ Then they took way·yiq·ḥū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמַּפְתֵּ֙חַ֙ the key ham·map̄·tê·aḥ וַיִּפְתָּ֔חוּ and opened [the doors] — way·yip̄·tā·ḥū וְהִנֵּה֙ and there wə·hin·nêh אֲדֹ֣נֵיהֶ֔ם was their lord ’ă·ḏō·nê·hem נֹפֵ֥ל lying nō·p̄êl מֵֽת׃ dead mêṯ אַ֖רְצָה on the floor . ’ar·ṣāh Judges 3:26 וְאֵה֥וּד Ehud, however , wə·’ê·hūḏ
