Judges 3:10 רֽוּחַ־ The Spirit rū·aḥ- יְהוָה֮ of YHWH Yah·weh וַתְּהִ֨י came wat·tə·hî עָלָ֥יו upon him , ‘ā·lāw יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ and he became Israel’s yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֣ט judge way·yiš·pōṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיֵּצֵא֙ and went out way·yê·ṣê לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה to war . lam·mil·ḥā·māh יְהוָה֙ And YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּתֵּ֤ן delivered way·yit·tên רִשְׁעָתַ֖יִם Cushan-rishathaim riš·‘ā·ṯa·yim מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ אֲרָ֑ם of Aram ’ă·rām בְּיָד֔וֹ into the hand [of Othniel] bə·yā·ḏōw אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- כּוּשַׁ֥ן kū·šan וַתָּ֣עָז who prevailed wat·tā·‘āz יָד֔וֹ . . . yā·ḏōw עַ֖ל against ‘al כּוּשַׁ֥ן vvv kū·šan רִשְׁעָתָֽיִם׃ him . riš·‘ā·ṯā·yim Judges 3:11 הָאָ֖רֶץ So the land hā·’ā·reṣ וַתִּשְׁקֹ֥ט had rest wat·tiš·qōṭ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים for forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָ֑ה years , šā·nāh עָתְנִיאֵ֥ל until Othniel ‘ā·ṯə·nî·’êl בֶּן־ son ben- קְנַֽז׃פ of Kenaz qə·naz וַיָּ֖מָת died . way·yā·māṯ Judges 3:12 וַיֹּסִ֙פוּ֙ Once again way·yō·si·p̄ū בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת did la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הָרַ֖ע evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH . Yah·weh יְהוָ֜ה So He Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֶגְל֤וֹן {gave} Eglon ‘eḡ·lō·wn מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מוֹאָב֙ of Moab mō·w·’āḇ וַיְחַזֵּ֨ק power way·ḥaz·zêq עַל־ over ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl עַ֛ל because ‘al כִּֽי־ . . . kî- עָשׂ֥וּ they had done ‘ā·śū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָרַ֖ע evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינֵ֥י in the sight bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh Judges 3:13 בְּנֵ֥י After enlisting the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּ֖וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn וַעֲמָלֵ֑ק and Amalekites wa·‘ă·mā·lêq וַיֶּאֱסֹ֣ף to join forces way·ye·’ĕ·sōp̄ אֵלָ֔יו with him , ’ê·lāw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ [Eglon] attacked way·yê·leḵ וַיַּךְ֙ and defeated way·yaḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּֽירְשׁ֖וּ taking possession of way·yî·rə·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עִ֥יר the City ‘îr הַתְּמָרִֽים׃ of Palms . hat·tə·mā·rîm Judges 3:14 בְנֵֽי־ The Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּעַבְד֤וּ served way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū עֶגְל֣וֹן Eglon ‘eḡ·lō·wn מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מוֹאָ֔ב of Moab mō·w·’āḇ שְׁמוֹנֶ֥ה eighteen šə·mō·w·neh עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָֽה׃ס years . šā·nāh Judges 3:15 בְנֵֽי־ And again [they] ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ . . . yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ cried out way·yiz·‘ă·qū אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָה֒ YHWH , Yah·weh יְהוָ֨ה and He Yah·weh וַיָּקֶם֩ raised up way·yā·qem לָהֶ֜ם lā·hem
